Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning MMC- just having a casual day of lounging around. Our 4th was good at our friend’s beach house and then last night there were fireworks on the beach. It is another hot and humid day so we will just be catching up on laundry and will probably grill out later.

Luckily, I have security measures setup to contact me for specific large purchases and odd transactions, so they declined the purchase and contacted me.

So, I have to get a new card now. Perfect reason why you should never ever use your checking card to make online purchases or pay bills. There are so many ways where your key strokes get copied, logged in and stolen by software and apps.

Good afternoon, friends! Hope you all had a great 4th! I’m off today, so I’m just simply relaxing and not doing much. I head back to work tomorrow until Monday morning and then I start vacation! I can’t wait!!!

Well Thursday is almost in the bag now. Thank goodness Friday is just over the horizon.
It was a very quiet day today at the office, about half the staff was off and the boss was out of the office to, about 95% of the day.

I’m heading to bed soon, I was up 3/4’s of the night last night, just couldn’t sleep, (too many things rolling around in my head). I just couldn’t turn my brain off. So, I took a Xanax in about an hour, I’ll be in dreamvworld.

Tomorrow, my wife’s sister is arriving to stay with us. She called and asked if she could stay a couple of days with her 2 boys; ages 3 & 6. Jill doesn’t get the chance to see her sister much, maybe once or twice a year. So, when she called and asked if she could stay, we did not have the heart to say no. She will just have to accept that we just moved in and the place looks like a bomb went off in here. She’s ok, I like her.

Well have a good night and I will see ya all on Friday!
 
Hello all. Back from holiday. Great time visiting with friends and family. We even had some time to visit a cidery and distillery. Sampled some wonderful stuff. Came home to a nice thunderstorm to cool things off. Had to buy a Thundershirt for the dog. It's basically a fleece that wraps around the dogs to keep him calm. Seems to work nicely.
 
Good Friday morning! This was another very hot and humid night when sleep was difficult. Not to help matters, I got a call around 11:30pm from the alarm company at our store asking me why the inside of the store had not been armed upon leaving. I wasn’t the one who closed but I know this is the 4th time this has happened and we have to figure out why, because I can’t keep getting calls like this. Thankfully this morning is already cooler and there’s wind coming through the appartment, so hopefully the worst of this heat wave is over.

I have a day off but so much to do. We’d been putting off chores because it was much too hot inside the appartment to do anything, so i have to catch up on that. Plus I have a few errands to run and the usual laundry to do. Hope I find some time to rest this afternoon, a nap would be good.

Good morning, MMC! I slept great last night. I’m hoping that continues in to next week, since we’ll be on vacation.

Not much planned for today - the weather is supposed to be crappy until this evening, So I plan on trying to get packed and watch some HMM.

Merry Friday MMC ~
We’re expecting showers and storms today with highs near 80 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee and working on a menu plan and grocery list. I have to run a couple of quick errands this morning and then I’ll be working on the laundry. I’m going to visit my parents later this afternoon. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

In addition, it feels like we are closing in on our next Milestone marker at an increasing pace as well.

We are now only EIGHT days away from the 2/3 point to Christmas Season 2018. ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!
(A torrid pace, indeed.)

We've had a two-day break from the really hot temperatures but have had to absorb some rain in the process.
Today is supposed to see us back to 90 for the high along with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
Currently, we are experiencing 77 degrees here in the heart of NC.
