I love that!!

I used to be, and then technology changed. I wish I would’ve stuck with it. We lost about 5 years worth of photos stored on a laptop that was stolen in the break-in.
We take a ton of pictures when we go on vacation and I have a few photo albums but a few years back I stopped printing them. And of course due to a nasty ransomware, where some of my files were locked for ransom (I refused to pay hackers, they should not see a dime of my money), I lost a lot of photis. Since then I periodically save them to an external drive.

That is horrible, Martine-sorry it happened to you guys. I wouldn’t give them a dime, either.

Adrian & I now back up our photos to an external drive as well. Not as often as we should though. I have so many on my phone that I need to go through. I went to Walgreens to print a photo awhile back, and had a heck of a time finding it

I have to do the very same thing. I had all my photos, vacation photos, on my old computer (which has windows XP on it), then, with all that's been going on for the past 3 years, it's been packed up, in storage. I finally opened up the box the other night and I am going to pull it out and plug it in to see if it still works or not this weekend. Gosh, I sure hope it does. If it does, I am going to immediately transfer all those photographs to an external hard drive that I bought. If it doesn't, my next step, I guess, is to try and take it to Best Buy or some place like that and see if they can get them off it's hard drive.

I'm thinking, my days of having a PC may be over with. Ever since I have been using a laptop, I like that so much better.

Good Morning, friends~

Merry Friday Eve!!

It’s going to be a sunny, beautiful Fall-like day. We are currently at 58 degrees, with a high of 69 degrees.
It’ll warm up again in a few days, this is a nice break.

I am downing coffee this morning. Jazzie had me up just about the entire night. She worked herself up about storms, when we only got rain early in the evening. It was done by the time we went to bed. She kept looking at the window-no lightning or thunder-shook, cried, and got sick all night long.
I got about 30 minutes of sleep, and have a big day ahead at work.

Tonight is the neighborhood party~
Perfect weather for it.

My parents landed safely in Minneapolis last night, and they were taking a shuttle to La Crosse. They should’ve gotten home around midnight.

Bring on the weekend!!

Wishing you all a fabulous day ahead!!

Thank you so much my friend, me too! I even had all my old Christmas music on it, Podcasts, and so much more. The pictures though, of my kids growing up, is what I treasure the most on it and I'm praying that it will wake up out of its long sleep and work.

♥️ I’ll be thinking of you~

Oh no! Poor little thing. She will be so happy when she see's your parents. And you, my goodness, 30 minutes of sleep, you have to feel exhausted. My prayers are with you my friend, please try and take it easy and I hope you have an easy day and that you can get lots of rest tonight.

Happy CIJ!!! Only worked a half day today. Waiting for the township inspector to come and do the final electrical inspection on the solar panels we had installed last week. When I got home I found my daughter wearing her reindeer slippers and my son playing with his match box cars with his Christmas village set LOL. Got turkey thighs in the crockpot for dinner tonight. I still have some pumpkin spice coffee left so maybe I will make a pot of that this afternoon :) Maybe tonight I will work more on my Christmas notebook. Hope you have a great day!

I hope everything went ok with the inspection Minta.

What??? You had a break-in? SF, I so sorry to hear about that!
Yes, about 10.5 years ago already.
It was before our wedding, in our new house/neighborhood (in Las Vegas).
They kicked in our front door-frame was everywhere inside our house. Nails were tiny :mad:. Needless to say we bought huge nails, and put on a security door.
There was no such thing as a safe neighborhood there.
Anyways, they made off with all of our collectibles, family jewelry, electronics, laptop, even stole bedding of our bed to get it all out.
I came home to find the house like that, and I heard a noise upstairs so they could’ve still been inside. I ran out and called the cops. Vegas CSI showed up. Told us to get protection, an alarm, and a dog. We got all three.
The only thing they didn’t get was my engagement ring, since it was on my finger, and our wedding bands that I had wrapped up in the dresser. They had gone through the dresser, so we are lucky that they missed them. Our wedding was a couple short months later . Also unfortunate was everything on our laptop, including a video that Adrian had put together for our wedding reception. He had spent countless hours on it. Things you can’t replace.

She does this at home with my parents too. But I think because of her poor diet lately, missing them, and weather stress, it’s all piling up for her. She will be so glad to see them. I will too, lol.

I have an RFP today for a sister company. Not the one I’m employed by but one I’m helping out for a co-worker who is off. I already felt uneasy about it, but now I can’t even think clearly from hardly any sleep the past few weeks. Wish me luck ;)

Good Morning. I'm here early on MMC today as you can see. I got my coffee, the kitties have all be loved, scratched and played with and I'm all ready to go to work, except, I have no pants to wear.....
I put them in the washing machine last night, I forgot about them and went to bed. This morning, I got them out of the washer and shook them (oh so wrinkled) and I threw them into the dryer. lol, I'm hoping that they dry in time and that they don't look like a scrunched up newspaper when I pull them out.

It's still raining here, "Really"!, we go from nothing to everything. I see on the Weather channel, that there is a lot flooding going on up and down the East coast now. Prayers going out to anyone effected by this mess.

It Thursday, one more day and then it's the last weekend in July! How about that, the month just blew by and we will be in August next week. How cool is that huh? We are getting closer and closer to the Ber's!!! Yea!!!!

In all of that, Thank God that you were not there! And when you did get home, you got out of there immediately. I know this is very late, but I am so sorry for you and Adi to of haven to go thru an experience as that, that is just so terrible.

Oh no, of all the days, you have to pull an RFP together. I will say a prayer for you my friend and I hope and wish that you can get though it successfully and get yourself back home to get some sleep; you need it!

Morning MMC! It looks like the humidity is still here at 95% this morning. Got a chocolate croissant for breakfast and iced coffee. Trying to enjoy this 4 day break. And try to catch up on some things that I haven't had time to do lately. One of those is to watch a few Christmas shows of course. Have a great Thursday!

Good Morning, Folks.
Over the hump and down the slope we come to the weekend, with tomorrow being Weekend Eve again already!

Let's run today's numbers up the flagpole and see if they fly:
Days to the Season: 110
Days to Christmas Day: 152

And what about the 100-Day Season Window?
Well sir, that is now only TEN days away.
SINGLE DIGITS FROM TOMORROW!
(It's really and truly true!)

Still the rainy/humid conditions yesterday, but the temps were not high.
Today will see the situation reversed - a high back in the 90's but with only a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
We currently observe 71 degrees here on our back yard thermometer.

May you have the most Thrilling Thursday of your lives to date, Friends.
(And thinking about Christmas just might help do the job!)
