Christmas Countdown - 2019

Good Morning MMC !

it is still very much brrrrrrr here -12c (10f) with wind chill of -21c (-6f) (wind is really kicking up the snow that fell last night) I like the snow and how beautiful things look, but am so ready for it to go away now. I want to go out without have to bundle up first.
Day off yesterday, spent most of it in basement cleaning it out and organizing my cake decorating room. Discovered you should not leave stuff alone in basement to long, it multiply's like crazy !
Off to work today. They started a new program on the tills so folks no longer need a receipt but can opt out or have it sent to their email. This will be fun to explain a million times LOL

Merry Pines Day ~
It’s going to be cloudy today with highs near 28, we’re currently at 19 degrees. We may get a passing snow shower this afternoon but it’s not supposed to accumulate. I don’t have too much planned for today. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I made meatballs and started a pot of sauce, I’m making baked ziti for dinner. I’m probably going to stay in today, I would like to begin to declutter and purge room by room. I’m going to start with my bedroom closet. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day, see you tonight!

You and my best girlfriend are in sync. Room by room, closet by closet, the decluttering has started. Items are bunched together, some will go back in the closet, some will go to the thrift store. Have at it.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I headed home yesterday after work and got on the lawn mower. Yes, it's time to start mowing the lawn again. Well, not so much lawn as invasive weeds. I've been battling them for years. Anyway, the yard looks less embarrassing. It was so cold, though, that I only did the worst half, so today I'll be back on it.

Last night, Nancy and I had supper with Bernie again. We've eaten every evening meal with him for weeks. Tonight, however, he's going to a fish fry that one of his sons invited him to, so maybe tonight Nancy, Elizabeth and I can have dinner.

Good Morning, Mid-Week Wanderers and 'Pines Patrons.
Say. We got here pretty fast, didn't we?

Days to Christmas Day: 294

And the remaining days before our next Milestone marker is dwindling pretty quickly, as well.
In fact, we are now down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 1/3 point to Christmas Season 2019!
(Wow. We really came upon that one rapidly, didn't we?)

Quite cool all day yesterday with a high of 44, but it was dry and sunny most of the time.
This center day of the week is predicted to be cold as well, with a high anticipated at 42, followed by sub-freezing temperatures again tonight.
We commence this 'Pines day here in central North Carolina at 31 degrees.

Well, it's open house evening again at our inn of choice and Carl is getting antsy about the first day of spring, coming 2 weeks from today.
But our activities director likes to take his seasons in order, so expect more winter-themed fun tonight.
(There is still snow at the 'Pines so don't forget your skis!)

I’m planning on decluttering our closets as well during my vacation in a couple of weeks. I need to get to our kitchen cupboards as well. It feels great to get things organized and to give things away to those in need as well.

Good morning MMC....I am bringing Andre (my boxer) to the vet at 11. I am afraid he is getting near the end. He has been losing weight and they put him on some meds and prescription food but he is still losing weight. Last night he started coughing so I am afraid it may be his heart. Poor guy, he is 10 which is considered older for a boxer. I just don't want him to suffer, he is such a wonderful dog. If you could keep him in your prayers and thoughts I would appreciate it...I will update later.

I'm so sorry to hear this, SfM. I worry about the day my Lulu leaves me, too. Like He_Is_Born said, they are such blessing from God. I'll send a prayer for you both.

Good afternoon ... back into the freeze again this week. Been busy the past several weeks with our oldest doing indoor color guard. Last competition is this weekend which means a lot less running around for us. I am itching to get some major decluttering and purging done. Tired of the never ending clutter that seems to multiple over night when we are sleeping LOL. We bought a new gas grill last night, marked down cheap as it was left over from last year. Our current grill has seen better day and it was cheaper to get a new grill then to buy the replacement parts. Now just need some weather so I can grill

Stuck at work two hours past closing time because the lock to the front door is not working and I have to wait for the security company to find a guard to come overnight and so far they haven’t had any luck. Not fun.

Sorry to hear that SFM. Nitro had fluid in his lungs too at the end. Was the hardest thing to ever have to do.

Morning MMC! Cold again. Broken record. The 1st week of March has been snow and cold. Winter weather. But it still is winter technically. Had a good day at work yesterday. Got a lot done and felt positive about it. 2 weeks from today I'll be off Thu/Fri for each of the last 2 weeks of March so I am looking forward to that "spring break" if you wanna call it that before the long grind till I start taking a couple of weeks off in the summer.
