That’s great news that your husband is coming home tomorrow. Sounds like you’ve been very busy getting your place ready for his return. And may I say how I am always amazed at your generosity towards others, like when you bought your husband’s roommate some clothes as his wife was snowed in. You have such a great heart Auntie :)

Thank you for your kind words, Martine.

Good morning ~
It’s going to be sunny and cold today with highs near 30 degrees. Not too much going on here, I just have to do some food shopping this morning. My youngest is coming over to have lunch with me. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be tacos. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
xx

Good Morning, Tuesday Trekkers.

And the goal of our long yearly trek is, of course, Christmas and its glorious Season.
(A worthy goal, indeed!)

Our progress to date:
Days to the Season: 253
Days to Christmas Day: 295

Along the trek, what do we look for and collect?
(No, not Pokemon.)
We search for Milestone markers to add to our growing collection.
And we have one coming up very soon. In just TEN days from now, as a matter of fact. SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow, as another matter of fact.
And to round out the facts, that particular marker is the ONE-THIRD point to the Season!

The cool-down has commenced, and this morning's starting temperature here is 36 degrees.
Today will see us remain quite chilly with highs in the mid 40's, followed by low 20's tonight and tomorrow night.
(Winter is definitely still with us.)

But regardless of your weather, you try your level best to have a Terrific Tuesday, OK?

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

We went to dinner last night for Bernie's birthday. It's a week late, but we enjoyed it anyway. I almost ran out of Weight Watchers points, though!

Our A/C wasn't working yesterday, and it took me a while to find the problem. The drain pan under the attic unit was full of water. The drain had gotten plugged up. Luckily, it has a float switch that will stop the unit from overfilling the pan.

I am SO looking forward to the time changing this weekend!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Thanks Crown! We're Marching Forward!

Thanks guys & gals! ❤️ I sure wish it would be easy to get on to this website at work like it was my old job but I just don’t see it happening. And our wireless connection is so terrible at work to try to logon from my phone it takes forever.

New job is going just OK. There are parts of it that I really like & parts of it I really dislike. The temperature in the office was very cold when I got back from Florida Tuesday and Wednesday. I knew the two girls had to have a blowup or something and sure enough they did. By Thursday the temperature was more medium… LOL It just makes work so much more enjoyable when you can get along with your coworkers!

Florida was absolutely awesome! We had such a great time and so many laughs! Weather was perfect every day! I’m ready to go back! ☀️

I hope you are all having a good Saturday! I’ve got homemade bread in the oven right now – it’s starting to smell really good in here! getting together with our lake neighbors this afternoon. Looking forward to it!

Hope you start to enjoy work a little more soon. Glad you had a trip to Florida! Hope you enjoyed the weekend!

Good Afternoon everyone! It’s been awhile so thought I would pop on for a catch up, March already! January and February have flown by!

It’s a rainy day here today so I am just catching up on house work before making a start on prepping dinner for tonight.

Going to have a nosey round the forums, have a lovely day!

Great to see you! Hope all is well!

My husband is home. Our doctor was reluctant to release him, but I said, I could stay with him today. He was still on 1 nurse assist to get around from his bed to the washroom and just taken off the IV yesterday. He really should have stayed for two more days, but he couldn't tolerate it anymore and said, he'd get better at home.

O'Malley was happy to see the daddy cat back.

We are both going to have a nap in the new bed.

Chat later; stay jolly! -surprise-

Well, my sweet hubbins is getting discharged tomorrow.

I bought his whiny roommate a pair of pants and a top because he was complaining of having no clothes and his wife has been snowed in and can't get to him. I didn't buy him shoes or anything in case he was trying to escape.

Anyway, I just set up the new microwave and bed and now I'm trying to throw out a bunch of stuff to declutter so he has more room to navigate.

We will have to debate the twin mattress behind the love seat in the living room because O'Malley the king of all feral cats has claimed that as his own and if it means I can keep purging around here and set the second bedroom up as a mini weight room, my husband and I can both take advantage of it.

Home Care will be coming to check on him Wedneday and Friday and then one day next week and that could be the end of it for them.

So relieved that he didn't have to examine bowel cancer because the head surgeon is the guy that screwed up with my mom so I don't have confidence in him; we would have had to travel two hours to the next available head surgeon.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my husband and I; we'll be back to normal which still isn't 100%, but we've grown used to his mobility troubles, perhaps if he can strengthen his arms, he can get into the pool at the gym to help with his leg troubles.

I better get back to my housework or I'll start procrastinating and it will never get done.

Stay Jolly! +g

Hope he was able to come home today. Continued prayers!

He's home; thank you Sugar and everyone; positive energy and prayers worked. He's still got along way to go to feel human again, but he's happy to be home.

Great news and you're so welcome! Continued prayers coming your way, Auntie!

Good Mid-Week Pines Everyone! Cold weather continues here today. But at least we had a sunny day yesterday. Stayed 2 hours late at work. That kills your evening if you ever do that sometimes. Today I need to leave on time. Plenty of snow still on the ground here since those several March snowfalls late last week through early this week. It looks like Christmas time. Have a great March Wednesday and don't freeze if it's cold where you are!
