Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

We took some pizzas to Mama's last night, and had a great visit. Bernie couldn't go with us, and Nancy worried about him the whole time. I think he probably might enjoy at least one night without us there. I hope he did, anyway.

Tonight we're going to visit Jacob, and taking him out to dinner...and to the grocery store LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Oh gosh, it's been far too long!!! We are over half way through March already & I sure do miss visiting here daily!!!
Work life is crazy. I get home & I could just go to bed!! Exhausting! :p Long story short, we are short one girl in our office - she decides to come in some days, but she is quitting, so it's going to be a ZOOOOOO for awhile!!
My sunroom tree is still up & I'm still enjoying it! :) But I am looking forward to warmer temps & lake time!!! :D
I hope you are all doing well & I'll try to catch up soon!!!! ♥
Merry Pines Day!!!!

It’s so good to see you Holiday! Praying things slow down for you at work. Sending hugs xo

Good Morning, Folks!

We doth approach another Milestone on our journey to Christmas.
It's pretty close, too. Nearer than you might think, especially if you have not been closely following the count.
But not to worry. We will catch you up after the presentation of today's numbers.

Days to the Season: 237
Days to Christmas Day: 279

Now for the marker, the 1/4 point to Christmas. It's now a mere FIVE days away, after which we move into quarter number two.
Beyond that - well - who knows? (Actually you can, if you check the count chart.)

Still coolish yesterday, with a bit of light rain and more overnight.
Things should be more pleasant today, with a predicted high near 60 and less precipitation.
We currently perceive 46 degrees here on our back yard thermometer with a light sprinkle falling.

Have a Thrilling Thursday Everyone, as well as the anticipation of Weekend Eve, tomorrow!
Thanks Crown! Hope You're Enjoying Early Spring!

Happy 1st Day of Spring and Pines Day!

I wore a pastel decorative scarf with a baby blue top to feel "springish"; still lots of snowbanks here, bumpy side roads and parking lots, puddles every where - but it will come.

Sadly, I realized this morning that we haven't heard the Robins yet. Likely a good thing for them as it's still a bit cold at night, but at this time last year, I heard Robins singing in the morning.

Some good news regarding my husband; he's starting to get stronger and we've been taken over by 5 care team folks who are helping us get him "up and at it".

He's got a very long recovery road ahead, but he's thankful for the support. So far, I've been present for everything; running to and from work between health professionals, etc.

O'Malley was excellent today; we had three different women in at different times and he never hid from them once. He kept his distance, but it's almost like he realizes it's to help "the big cat".

I'm treating myself to an overnight with my brother in mid-April. I think he'll be strong enough by then.

He had a slip yesterday and couldn't get up from his knees, but he was going too fast down the hall and didn't have proper control of his walker. We have a few weeks to perfect that before I leave him on his own. I'd have my dad sit with him, but we're going together.

He's driving #1 son and I a bit crazy with the calls now that he has the portable phone so close at hand. At least we know he's taking it with him so if he happens to fall, he should be at least able to reach it from the seat of the walker or the bedside table; he has three so even if he forgets to set one back on the charger, he will still be able to get help. I'll have a neighbour on speed dial while I'm away. Same neighbour will likely be involved in a fire safety plan until he is strong enough to walk down the stairs which I'm hoping will be sometime in April.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers; today I saw two gentlemen who I thought looked like Santa in the off season and took at as a jolly sign.

Stay merry!-surprise-

Great news that your husband is starting to get stronger! Prayers continue for you both!! xx

Good Spring Break MMC! I'm off 8 of the next 11 days. I'm taking Rollins to the vet this morning for his annual checkup. I'm going to meet up with my mom and sister at Applebee's for lunch and get an oil change. But also I'm going to rest some. I slept a full 9 hours last night which felt really good. Have a great day!

Aw, poor Rollins ~ I hope his appointment went well and that all is good!

Good Morning Merry Makers!

Have to take my car into my mechanic to replace the burnt out running light on the driver's side before I start work.

I called a halt on our home services until Monday so Gary, O'Malley and I can re-group and I can get through a day at work without being gone for over an hour. I usually only take a half hour lunch break unless I have to run errands.

'Tis Friday - "keep your nose tidy" - my mama used to say.

Been up pretty much since 2:30, but managed to grab another 45 minutes of sleep.

Had a funny dream about O'Malley playing with a pigmy goat; they were so cute together. Wonder if he was pleating near my bedroom door. HaHa.

I have to stop by the Christmas Store on Saturday so I can pick up one Christmas gift or a few special cards or gift wrap for Rudolph Day.

Then off to the bank to pay the $45.00 for my husband's ambulance ride to the hospital; I thought it was $60.00 or $75.00 last time, but maybe part of it was for the TV and phone access.

Have to clean out the old food from the bird feeders and restock to bring back our songbirds and maybe the lovely pileated woodpeckers.

Have a super day and stay jolly! +l

Happy 1st TGIF of Spring MMC! Had a mostly busy day off yesterday and today might be the same although a little less which is good. Rollins had his checkup and everything was good. No problems. He was a little drowsy though because they had to give him something to calm him down as he does get too anxious at the vet. But then a few hours later he was already looking to play. Just getting my oil change done this morning and some errands. Have a great TGIF!

Leo is the same way at the vet, I need to give him something to relax him and he makes me hold him in the waiting room.
Glad Rollins made out well.

Good Morning, Eve-of-the-Weekenders!

Yes, 'tis true, 'tis true.
Another Weekend Eve is here.
And it has arrived just in time to coincide with the latest count number release.
(Now how's that for a coincidence?)

Anyway, here we go:
Days to the Season: 236
Days to Christmas Day: 278

Really closing in now on the end of the first quarter of our Christmas Day count. Only FOUR days left to go. Barely over HALF A WEEK!

It remained chilly yesterday, primarily owing to the lack of sun. It was quite wet too, with off-and-on light rain.
Today should be clear all day, with a high in the low 60's and plenty of sun.
This final morning of the work week has dawned here at 45 degrees.

Have a Fully and Fantasticaly Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And I hope you are off to a great start to your Weekend Eve!

Good Friday morning! A dreary, rainy day and we may see snow accumulations later on, but I hope we won’t. It’s the kind of day when you just want to cuddle up in a blanket on the couch and watch movies all day. But there are chores to be done and David has a physio appointment so movies will have to wait. Enjoy your day everyone!

Happy Friday! (thank goodness)

Another hard week at work with long days. Looks like today will be a long one too. I keep hoping "next week will be back to normal," but every week I'm disappointed. The long days started in January and haven't let up yet.

Good morning and Happy Friday!
It’s going to be cloudy with showers today, highs 45-50 degrees. I got a workout in at the gym this morning, I’m already starting to like going and getting it over with that early. I’m having a cup of coffee right now and then I need to start my daily chores. I’m going to take a ride to the pet store later, I’m looking for a rain coat for Rocky. I’ll visit my parents while I’m out. That’s about it. We’ll just be catching up on some shows later this evening. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx
