Let's take a look at the numbers before we greet our latest marker.
Days to the Season: 122
Days to Christmas Day: 164

And the Milestone of record for this date?
Well, it's the TWO-THIRDS point to Christmas Season 2019, meaning of course, that we are now entering the FINAL third of our Season count.
(Can you imagine that now!)

Not too bad here yesterday, but there is still plenty of humidity to go around, especially by late morning through the afternoon. During the evening, things moderate a bit and it's more comfortable to stroll outdoors.
Today? Back to high heat again, with the predicted high being 97 degrees and a heat index level that I don't even want to think about. No rain to provide even a small amount of relief.
Our present reading is 77 degrees.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks, regardless of your heat situation!

Funny story....Doc loves cotton candy. Today is our 12th anniversary. I went to Chucky Cheese yesterday to get her and the girls some cotton candy. My little ones are mad at me because they are convinced I ate pizza and played games. Like...they almost aren't talking to me. It is pretty funny.

Coffee is good, church is coming quick. Today is outside yard work and CIJ on QVC. Already got supper cooked! YAY! Y'all have a great day!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I had a great birthday yesterday! Mom cooked a BIG lunch, and made my favorite chocolate layer cake, then we went out to eat that evening with Nancy's side of the family. Elizabeth gave me a golf-chipping practice net, a ball shag (to pick up balls while standing upright), a dozen golf balls, and some smoker wood chips. Nice!

Good morning all and Happy Monday! Back to "normal" life. This weekend was very tiring and busy. We were up every night until 11p or so and then had to get back up every morning around 5. DD competed against some of the most tough competition individually, that she ever has. She had a lot of fun and still managed to bring home a 3rd in her fancy strut. Her team took home first place (YES!!!!), bringing home another International title. Her coach and all the parents were so proud of the girls. The hard work paid off, but they will be back to practicing tomorrow night. DD will be back to her private practice tonight. She's already talking about wanting to go to a camp next summer, which is 4 days. It will be hard to send her away for that many days, when I know she won't be in the care of a family member, but I am considering it, especially if one of the other girls go too. Here's a few pictures from the weekend! Hope you all have a great day!

Finished episode one of Stranger Things 3, yesterday. I didn't have time to get any further, as I had lots to do, and we went to see the WNBA Lynx defeat the Phoenix Mercury. Big Bonus Dept: Lynx center Sylvia Fowles broke the all - time league number of games with a double - double record.

another warm one here today. Taking mom to Costco to get her hearing aids checked and cleaned. Of course, we have to stop at our favorite thrift store too!

just put a tray of bacon under the broiler. I cook a whole package at a time so we have it handy for a sandwich or a burger when wanted. According to my son, I don't have nearly enough of it

Good morning all!

The summer heat continues. By the end of the week we are supposed to be in the mid to upper 90s with heat index around 105. Perfect weather for staying inside and pretending it is December.

Today is equipment hand-out for the little league football team. Practice starts next Monday.
