Christmas Countdown - 2019

Days to the Season: 57
Days to Christmas Day: 99

Oh indeed, Folks.
The 100-day Christmas Day Window had its grand opening yesterday and now Christmas and its glorious Season seem even more imminent!

But what's left? What is the next marker?
Well, let's look at the chart - a very good place to start....and end.....our search.
Guys, it's the SEVENTY-FIVE PERCENT Milestone to Christmas Day and it will be here on Sept 25, just 8 days from today's date.
Already down to single digits and just ONE WEEK from tomorrow!
(Lord have mercy!!)

Today should be the last really summer-feel day we will have for a while, as tomorrow is supposed to top out at 79 compared to a predicted high of 87 today. Then 75 for Thursday. (I hope it comes with low humidity!)
Right now, we perceive 70.8 degrees on our digital back yard thermometer.

It appears that I missed the milestone day, yet still arrived at the super awesome secret milestone day. Some might say that it's even better to see the count down to 99 rather than 100!

99 days until Christmas Day is so magical. 57 days until the Christmas season is very exciting, too. We're so close. Of course, these buds will soon turn into full blossoms as well. Oh, the Season!

Merry Tuesday MMC!
It’s going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 74 degrees. I’m heading out soon to do some food shopping. Back home afterward to work on my chores and I’ll walk Rocky again. I have a chiropractor appointment later this afternoon. I was seeing him a couple of years ago for my migraines and they improved so I’m hoping for good results again! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Thank you; O'Malley seemed a little better last night; he will make it to the Pines tomorrow.

His groomer suggested I try a liquid arthritic medicine mixed in with his food; perhaps there's a chance it could help him.

As long as I don't have to do pills or shots, he might go for it.

Glad to hear this. Praying this helps if you try it.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I had a very bad dream last night, so I've been up a long time. I hate when that happens.

We're having a job fair here today, hoping to direct-hire some folks who want to work. It's surprising the number of guys who go to the temp agency for a job, but when they come out here, some of them leave for lunch and don't return. Anyway, the boss wants me to help with interviews, but he implied that I should clean my office a bit. LOL I hadn't noticed, but it's pretty dusty and scattered.

Our dinner last night was super fun!

In case your question hasn't been answered yet - this is the place to be for the November 12th excitement. We stay up late and at midnight (those of us who can last that long given various time zones) get to greet Nov. 13th as the official start to our "Christmas season"; more about that on the first page of this countdown thread.

I actually booked the 13th off at work so I could stay up late and sleep in (if my feral cat will permit it).

Looks like you joined several years ago and just started posting; walkabout there's lots to see and do here to keep us jolly during "the off-season" and the season itself.

I was in such a hurry this morning, I missed several posts from yesterday and now I'm all caught up with things in your corner of the world.

I ordered a liquid herbal medication to help O'Malley with his arthritis, his groomer said that her friend used it with her cat and before long he was actually leaping up to the window ledge again to watch for birds. I'm not expecting that from O'Malley, but if it will ease his aches and pains, I'd be happy and so would he.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. He must know I'm typing about him, he just came over to see what's going on.

Nope, false alarm, he's smacking his lips for treats. This tube treat I discovered in May is what I'm hoping to slip his meds into when they arrive early next week. There's no way, he'd let me get a squirt anything into that mouth of his.

Beautiful day here; mostly blue sky except a few fluffy clouds by the lake. I went down for a drive along the waterfront and was heartbroken at the sight of a huge backhoe and a truck and some city crew "fixing" up the beach. They removed the old character tree at the spot where I learned how to swim against the waves with my mask and snorkel, and my husband and I had a few picnics at the spot and even had our Wedding Eve photos taken there with my parents.

I wonder if it has something to do with one of the movies being shot here; perhaps they needed more beach.

They could be making room for more memorial benches, not sure, but I'll miss that old tree and our romantic spot.

Oh well, I had a "think spot" in my youth that was removed when they dug up the old train tracks and I can still picture sitting there with my dog like it was last week so the memory will remain.
