Good morning ~
Merry Friday!
I’m at the chiropractor right now waiting to be called in. I’m going to run a couple of quick errands afterward and then head home to work on some chores. I can’t believe how fast this month is going by, I might work on a menu plan for Thanksgiving this afternoon!
I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!
xx

Good Morning, Thresholders.
No, we are yet to reach the threshold of Christmas Season 2019, but we are on the doorstep of another weekend, AKA Weekend Eve!

To the count numbers:
Days to Halloween: 13 (UNDER two weeks, now!)
Days to the Season: 26 (Moving down toward 3 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 68 (A week away from the 2 month point!)
(Does our progress to the holidays seem to be acellerating?)

Continued cool, but sunny and relatively calm.
Today and the following two will see our highs in the mid 60's with chilly overnight lows, then we return again to the low 70's. There is a good chance of rain this weekend.
Presently, our thermometer reading stands at 46 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Fantastically Fabulous Friday, Friends!
Thanks Crown! Happy Fearful Friday!

Good Friday evening! Finally the weekend is here! Temperatures have dropped a bit, to the point that I turned on the heat in the living room for the first time this season. This afternoon we gave our employee battling cancer the money we had all pooled together so she could afford to take a week off work to rest and recuperate. In total we surprised her with 575$, enough to cover her expenses and buy a new Winter coat that she needed. That week's rest will also allow her to resume her cancer treatments, as she had decided to take a break because of extreme fatigue. It's moments like these that show just how great of a team we have at work.

TGIF!!
Merry Friday!! Another week almost done.
My oldest daughter hurt her knee in her soccer game. She had to be carried off the field. Our neighbor and his wife are PTs so they looked at and didn't think anything was torn and think it is a sprained Meniscus. So we will see...she is in a brace and we will have to bring her the orthopedist.
Hope you all have a great day!

Ouch and I'm sure she's disappointment that she won't be playing for a while.

Good afternoon .. Can't believe how fast time is flying by. Picked up a couple more Christmas gifts yesterday. Slowly checking things off my list. Got a busy weekend of Marching band and softball this weekend. Hope everyone has a great day!

One of the local radio stations that shares discussions of the day, was initiating conversation about when to start Christmas shopping. One of the posters exclaimed, "Can't we wait until after Remembrance Day to ask these questions!"

I also had a few friends post on my wall over the years or send me a message because I post Christmas related things in October.

I always defend my merry wackiness by reminding them that I celebrate all year so my appreciation for all things Christmas doesn't have anything to do with a lack of respect for Remembrance Day. Does that mean we only consider those who serve on November 11th? I'd like to think that we are thankful for their sacrifice and peace keeping efforts throughout the year. A date on the calendar doesn't mean we can't have other thoughts and passions. I think it's a bit narrow minded to focus on one day. We don't even have half a day off on the 11th, if I wanted to participate, I'd half to book it off work. We still pause for two minutes of silence. I remember pulling over on the side of the road once when the announcement started on the radio in the car.

I shared that I have been picking up items around the 24th/25th each month to keep things jolly and to be better prepared.

I only have about 5 gifts left to buy.

Good Morning +d

'Tis Saturday, cat has had me up since 3:15 despite my efforts to ignore him and stay in bed, I got up just after 4:00, fed him and now he's sleeping and I had my coffee - so I'm UP.

I'll likely try and grab a few winks around 7:00 then change the sheets on the bed and get in the shower and head out to run a few errands. Waiting until tomorrow to drop the laundry off because I'm hoping to find another pair of pants and mid-season jacket/coat so I'll want to launder them before wearing.

O'Malley's appointment with the groomer isn't until 3:45, hope I can get him in the cage without too much drama.

I'm listening to A Muppet Family Christmas in the background while I catch up on things here.

The Sesame Street gang is about to meet the Muppets - Sesame Muppets as carolers.

Staying jolly! +n

Good morning, my friends. Hope all is well. Got up, had a fire and some coffee...now, it is time to get ready for soccer. Kinda chilly, but today is the last day. Glad it all wraps up today. I get to start having Saturday mornings back.

Tonight, we our having our first community movie night. Should be an awesome time. The screen is going to be a 16x20 and we are watching Aladdin. I'm super excited and so is our community. The fire department is cooking hot dogs and my girls are super excited.

We actually had a movie night here last night. Toy Story 4, hotdogs, marshmallows...great night.

Y'all have a good day. I gotta get going.

Good morning ~
Merry Saturday!
I’m heading out soon to do some food shopping. Back home afterward to work on a couple of chores. I also have plans to go out for lunch with my three daughters and my mom. My youngest just got a promotion at work so we’re going out to celebrate. Should be fun. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

Good Morning, Everyone!

It's oasis time. Time to sit back to review the week past and plan for the week ahead.
And what better way to get into the mood than to sip some sweet southern iced tea while munching on one of the fired twinkies you took home from the Shispering Pines last Wednesday, being unable to resist the deal Carl offered to you.

So. Being in the proper frame of mind, let's contemplate this morning's latest:
Days to Halloween: 12 (Close to single digits!)
Days to the Season: 25 (Barely over 3 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 67 (Under a week off from the 2 month point!)
(Are you more excited.......or scared?)

Cool days and chilly nights is the pattern here recently. Lots of sun and no precipitation.
Today and tomorrow show highs in the mid 60's.
Monday and Tuesday are indicated as reaching the low to mid 70's.
Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow, as the remains of tropical storm Nestor pass not far to our east.
("Nestor". Wasn't that the name of a long-eared Christmas donkey?)
Right now it's sunny, and we show 45 degrees for our current temperature.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Folks.
And may you experience a really great weekend!

Good morning!
Happy Saturday...we found out my daughter tore her ACL. She starts PT on Tuesday and surgery is tentatively scheduled for 11/14. I feel so bad for her but there are definitely worse things out there. We are not up too much today. I am catching up on laundry. Hope you all have a great day!
