Good late afternoon MMC!!! It's been quite the day! I worked this morning & my co-worker tried teaching me how she enters a major vehicle company job - which is totally different from any other jobs we do. Have mercy! I'm so confused!! I need to learn it, but GAH!! I will be dreaming about it tonight, I'm sure. My new job/company deals with a lot of the major vehicle industries - GM, Navistar, Honda, Chrysler- Gah - so confusing! And it all has to be done right. NO pressure! This afternoon we had the viewing for my Moms caregiver! It made me sad. After that I went to my old job to enter anything that came into receivables - which was everything still out there. No more receivables there. Kinda sad. I paid the bills...which was only one. Things are really winding down there. I packed up some more of my things. Then I stopped at Moms house. I hadn't been there for quite awhile - it just makes me too sad, but I did stop today. It's so cold in there!! (well, it feels cold compared to a home that's lived in!) I walked through the house to see what I still need to get from there. It's been "one of them days" I guess!!
Now here I sit - still enjoying my tree. I planned on taking it down tonight, but now I'm changing my other mind! I'm ready for a nap!

Good Thursday morning! After what turned out to be more snow than we thought yesterday (amd the city not doing such a great job clearing it) it turned to freezing rain right as I was leaving work last night, so I avoided the worst of it getting home. But now it's raining and I dread even looking outside, I bet it's an icy mess. Lots to do today, between laundry and chores, grocery shopping, David's physio, shopping for pull-on pants and boots for him and going to my in-laws. This will be my only day off for the next seven days so I have to cram everything in today. My in-laws are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow (lucky them!) and we're bringing their lone fish home today so we can feed it daily. We'll have to go to their place every three days to water their plants but they live too far for us to make the daily trip for the fish. I bet Loki will be super curious when he sees it, he's a very inquisitive dog. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

You will have to keep us posted what Loki (and the fish) think of each other. LOL!!! Hope it goes well!!! xx

I just ran my Keurig without putting a mug underneath. Still not sleeping well so I’ll blame it on that. Not too much going on here. It’s going to be a windy and rainy day. I have plans to visit my parents later. I’m going to stop at the bakery and pick something up to bring over. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be chicken cacciatore over pasta. That’s about it. Hope everyone is well. Have a nice day MMC!

LOL ~ I have done that before ~ ran the Keurig w/o a cup under it...or run it without a K-cup in it. Mark that up to "one of them days" Hope you are having a great one!!!

Good afternoon, MMC! It's been icy here all day due to melting ice and then it re-freezing because temps have dropped again. The kids had school canceled, so they have been home all day with me. It's been a day of odds & ends around the house and laundry. Tonight is our take-out night and we decided on Mexican, so DH is picking that up on the way home.

Nothing really planned for the evening. ABC has programming on Thursday evenings, so that is plan for tonight.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It rained a few inches last night, and I didn't even know it. They yard was underwater this morning, but it's supposed to clear up this afternoon.

We're meeting with a Hospice worker this morning for Nancy's mom. I'm trying to convince them that calling in Hospice to help doesn't necessarily mean her health is completely gone, but the whole family is upset. Nancy said I didn't have to go to the meeting, but I think I better be available to her.

Elizabeth's competition didn't go well yesterday. We burned a CD with the music she planned to use, but the song failed during her performance, and she had to finishing dancing and singing with no music. Bless her heart. I should have listened to the entire recording after I burned the CD. I just assumed it would work. I'll take the blame.

Anyway, enough of my complaints. I really do hope y'all have a great day!

That is such a hard meeting to have! 1st of all Hospice has changed their name from "Hospice" to "State Of The Heart Care" Which means, it no longer means "end of life" - My mom was on "State Of The Heat Care" for over 1 1/2 years & they are WONDERFUL!!! We asked them what was the longest (locally) anyone has been on "Hospice" & they said 4+ years. When Mom wasn't feeling well, they were there within an hour or 2 (or less - usually within 30 minutes!) to check her out & they delivered ALL of her medicine. We would have never been able to get her to the doctor to get the meds/attention she needed. They got us her supplies, wheel chair, portable potty, hospital bed, walker, lift chair, Hoyer Lift, bed side table, chair & bed alarm - absolutely everything she needed - especially towards the end. We never had to take her out in bad weather - but if she was having a good day, we were more than happy & able to take her out! Praying for you all to make the best decision for her & you all & Nancy's Mom is happy with it! It's so hard!!!
Sorry to hear about Elizabeth's issues last night, but I have no doubt she recovered & had a wonderful performance!!!

That is great you are going to the meeting with Nancy, she will appreciate you there. My friend's father lived in Hospice for quite awhile, it was great for him though he was able to be comfortable.

Merry Friday Eve!! What a dreary day with rain but it is crazy it is 50 degrees but I will take it..I think it is going to freeze overnight so we'll see. Typical work day for me and tonight I am making a pork loin for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

That may be in your neck of the woods, Holiday. We still use the term hospice here in PA and in fact, we use the term hospice and palliative and they don't mean the same thing. Like I said to Brad, you have three identifiers to qualify for hospice, but for palliative care, it can be at stage and time of the illness, whether terminal or not. I do love the name they have given for the hospice care out your way though!

It is turning nice and cold here. Single digits by morning with windchill around -10 or -15. Snowing outside too. Just snow showers, nothing big.

We had a two hour delay this morning for some ice and snow. Tomorrow might be another delay. Next week we might be delayed or closed quite a bit with a combination of several small snows and very cold temperatures. We shall see.

Not much going on. Henry finally gets his birthday celebration this weekend. He is having some friends over Saturday and they are going to a place called "Get Air" It is a jumping place. Henry really enjoys it. Then they are having a sleep over Saturday night. He is really looking forward to it.

This must be the week of bad sleep for everyone. I worked 1 pm to 10 pm Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday I did a double and then worked 9 to 2 today. Yesterday and today I found myself dozing on the couch before I had to be at work so I know I've been exhausted.
I am off tomorrow so I am raking my cousin to get new sneakers. I will catch up on laundry too. I hope everyone had a to great day
