Hello, my name is Mark and I have an after Christmas clearance problem. People really need to buy it all up so I stop seeing it and thinking about how it deserves a loving home instead of being there all alone on the clearance shelf. I might have enough ornaments to decorate the Rockefeller center tree next year if I keep it up. At least the weather is going to get bad again so that’ll make me stay home.

Oh and Christmas tree shop had advent calendars for $.10 and I will neither confirm or deny that I bought 20 of them so I could open one every day between now and next Christmas.

I hope everyone is having a great day!!
:D:p:D

Good evening MMC! Haven't been here since Monday. I've been so tired when I get home from work & not really wanting to turn on my computer. I did order a new phone today, so that will help!! I didn't sleep worth a hoot last night, so hopefully tonight will be better!! xx
Today was a really rainy & icky day. We have water/snow/ice everywhere. The roads are clear now, but it's starting to get colder now, so a chance of it freezing again. Yuck! I really don't like days like this. A lot of my pretty snow melted!!
I hope you are all having a great day/evening!!
Good to see you! I hope you can be here more often again, once you get the new phone!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It rained a few inches last night, and I didn't even know it. They yard was underwater this morning, but it's supposed to clear up this afternoon.

We're meeting with a Hospice worker this morning for Nancy's mom. I'm trying to convince them that calling in Hospice to help doesn't necessarily mean her health is completely gone, but the whole family is upset. Nancy said I didn't have to go to the meeting, but I think I better be available to her.

Elizabeth's competition didn't go well yesterday. We burned a CD with the music she planned to use, but the song failed during her performance, and she had to finishing dancing and singing with no music. Bless her heart. I should have listened to the entire recording after I burned the CD. I just assumed it would work. I'll take the blame. :(

Anyway, enough of my complaints. I really do hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Thursday morning! After what turned out to be more snow than we thought yesterday (amd the city not doing such a great job clearing it) it turned to freezing rain right as I was leaving work last night, so I avoided the worst of it getting home. But now it's raining and I dread even looking outside, I bet it's an icy mess. Lots to do today, between laundry and chores, grocery shopping, David's physio, shopping for pull-on pants and boots for him and going to my in-laws. This will be my only day off for the next seven days so I have to cram everything in today. My in-laws are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow (lucky them!) and we're bringing their lone fish home today so we can feed it daily. We'll have to go to their place every three days to water their plants but they live too far for us to make the daily trip for the fish. I bet Loki will be super curious when he sees it, he's a very inquisitive dog. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Hope you can get done what you need to do, but also can relax some as well. Safe travels for your in-laws!

Hoping for the best for your family as they decide what’s best for your MIL. These kinds of decisions are stressful and fraught with doubt and second guessing. I’ll keep your family in prayer.

Sorry to hear about the CD snafu. But in the grand scheme of things, no biggie right?

That is great you are going to the meeting with Nancy, she will appreciate you there. My friend's father lived in Hospice for quite awhile, it was great for him though he was able to be comfortable.

Sorry to hear about Elizabeth's performance...Hope you have a good Thursday!

Merry Friday Eve!! What a dreary day with rain but it is crazy it is 50 degrees but I will take it..I think it is going to freeze overnight so we'll see. Typical work day for me and tonight I am making a pork loin for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks, y'all.

Yeah, the competition is not really such a big deal, except that Elizabeth wants to pursue performance for a career, and she feel responsible for making her senior year productions the best they can be. Oh well.

Good Morning, Friends.
Rise, shine and smell the.....tea!
(Forget that cough-ee stuff that Binger likes.)

And while you are rising, shining and drinking, take a moment to consider this:
Days to the Season: 293
Days to Christmas Day: 335

Now for the chaser:
We are now only NINETEEN days away from completing the first quarter of our Season count and starting on the second.
Time moves fast when you are having fun. (And quite often whether you are or not!)

The promised warm weather did arrive yesterday and we approached 60 by the afternoon.
As for today, the also promised rain has shown up on schedule, to make this second warm day not quite as pleasant.
Currently, we are enjoying a balmy 63 degrees here at this hour with a light rain falling.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone!

Happy Thursday!

Weird weather continues ... after single-digit temps on Monday, we're now well into the 50s today and expecting 2 inches of rain on top of melting snow and ice. Back into the 20s tonight. If today's rain were snow, we'd be looking at a foot and a half.

Even though it's a short workweek, I'm more than ready for Friday to get here!

I just ran my Keurig without putting a mug underneath. Still not sleeping well so I’ll blame it on that. Not too much going on here. It’s going to be a windy and rainy day. I have plans to visit my parents later. I’m going to stop at the bakery and pick something up to bring over. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be chicken cacciatore over pasta. That’s about it. Hope everyone is well. Have a nice day MMC!
xx

Enjoy the visit with your parents! Chicken cacciatore sounds so good! That is one thing I’ve never made, but with DH and my huge Italian roots, we should sometime. His mother used to all the time when we were younger. Sorry to hear you are still have trouble sleeping.

A couple of things to comment on here - you’re completely right - just because you’re having hospice come in, doesn’t mean it’s the end. I don’t know a ton about hospice, but it was thing they make us certify in every year and I can tell you, there are three requirements at least in our area that a patient has to meet to qualify for hospice, so again, it doesn’t mean it’s that end and it doesn’t mean do not treat. Some people hear the word “hospice” and just automatically think death and that no one wants to help or try anymore. I’m sure it’s a lot for Nancy’s family to take in right now. Just try to be as supportive as you can be, which sounds like you 100% are and just be there. Sometimes being there in body and to give a hand or hug when needed, can help so much. As I just said, I’ll fully admit this isn’t really my area of expertise, but I can do my research and always try to answer a question if needed. This goes for anyone if they ever have a medical question! If you don’t feel comfortable asking on here, PM me.

Second, I’ve seen this happen quit a few times at baton competitions with DD. They say if they are able to make it through without the music, that’s what makes them good, so even if Elizabeth screwed up a little, that’s still excellent. I know it’s not quite the same twirling vs. singing with music, but it is similar. DD’s instructor, plus we do the same, make DD practice without the music a few times a week too, just in case this event happens. It might not have even been your fault. Something might have happened when it was playing. Don’t beat yourself up. I would just have Elizabeth get in to a good practice of learning it acapella as well, just as well. Cheer up, dad. Sounds to me like you’re doing pretty amazing. Hope you have a great day and the water dries up there!

Thanks Crown. We could use some sort of drying out weather here.

Morning everyone. The rain we got overnite has made a mess of everything. To much snow with the berms piled high and the roads are like rivers now. Just looked out and its starting to snow again.
Finally got all the Christmas stuff off the walls and dusted before being boxed up. Still have to do our trees but thats not happening today..;):):D

Sorry to hear you guys have such a mess. Hope there isn't any flooding.
