Good morning, friends. Hope you all are having a wonderful start to your weekend. Mine is off to a nice start.

We made a decision to "cut the cord" to our cable TV yesterday and start streaming. After all of the expenses of start up, we could save almost $120 a month. We have really been debating it for a few months and thought we might as well take the plunge. With a trip to Disney coming in November, we will need all the extra cash we can get. We don't watch too much TV. Usually, it is just there for background noise or on a cartoon. Doc and I sit down after the kids go to bed and we might watch 30 minutes to an hour a day. Now, football is different. I will watch sports...but that isn't just watching TV, right?

Looks like a wedding is in my future today.........................

On the inside, I'm screaming no!! However, the outside appears jovial. I'm just goig to ride this one out and let it play itself out. If my Cowboys weren't playing in the playoffs, it would be completely different. After all, after you have been to one wedding....haven't you been to them all? Give him this ring, give her this ring, say I do, kiss...go party. Isn't that how it goes?
Yes ... but for the people doing those things, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime, life-changing event that they would like you to share with them.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's raining and yucky today, but it's Friday! We needed the rain; the mud hole in my driveway was starting to get dehydrated LOL. It's supposed to clear up tomorrow, and hopefully Jacob and I can go fishing. We're going to meet him for dinner tonight, too.

Elizabeth has a tough choice coming up. Her dance company has entered competition dance, and the date is scheduled on the same evening of a pageant that she had entered. She has to decide which to do, and it's really getting her upset. I hope she's happy with whatever she decides.

I'm hoping to have lunch with Mama today. She's been keeping my niece lately, so we'll see.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
I had to give up gingerbread competition and cake competition because of another event that came up. Cost me my entry fees plus materials all ready put into it. It is hard, but looking back I am not sorry for the choice made. ((((HUGS))))) to her.

Good Morning, First Weekenders.
Yep.
It's the opening weekend of the brand new year.
First in a series of 51.

But there are not quite that many weekends separating us from Christmas Season 2019.
That number is only 44.

And speaking of numbers:
Days to the Season: 312
Days to Christmas Day: 354
Notice that first number, if you will. And marvel at the fact that we are already practically down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 300-day Season Window and the start of a 200's level Season count sequence!
<< So soon, Crown? >>
So soon, little voice.

Still more rain fell yesterday, but a nice weekend is predicted and it has commenced here in central North Carolina at a dry and sunny 50 degrees.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone.
And don't forget the start of the NFL playoff games this afternoon!
Colts/Texans and Seahawks/Cowboys.

Good middle-of-the-night Friday everyone! My sleep maintenance insomnia has returned, when I sleep for about 4-5 hours and then wake up and can't fall back asleep until about 2 hours later. I also keep having very vivid dreams about work. We're in inventory mode and it's a stressful time, no doubt that plays into this. At least Loki joins me on the couch when I get up in the middle of the night and HE actually falls right back asleep on my lap.

So we learned that David's shoulder surgery is scheduled for the 31st. We were surprised, we thought it would come more around March. I'll be taking a week off to make sure I can assist him until he gets used to having his right arm immobilized. This surgery brings both hope and anxiousness. It's a 30-minute athroscopic surgery and he will supposedly be awake during the procedure, so it's not an invasive surgery. But there's always a concern about how the recovery process will go. I'm just hoping he will handle the pain well and that after months of physio, he'll be able to use his right arm normally again.

Hope everyone will enjoy a great day ahead!

I pray you can start to get some rested sleep soon. Glad to hear you know of David's surgery schedule and that you will be there with him during the recovery.

I hope you feel better soon!

This is a Promise ring NOT an engagement ring

Good afternoon, popping in to say HI .. been busy this week at work and at home. For all those not feeling well I hope you all feel better soon. I hope everyone has a great day !

Hope you feel better soon...there are a lot of viruses going around!

Ha ha ha!!! I bet that's it!! :p ;) :D

I will be enjoying mine at least through the weekend - I might take the big tree down next week....MIGHT!!! :D Just enjoy & I hope you feel better!!!

I emailed in to work off-site due to a severe migraine and sinus pain and walked into work an hour later with some sinus meds.

For me, it's not the same as taking the day off, but I have to be careful not to do it too often or I'll just have to take a sick day. I think I had 1.5 last year, but I took a few half days for personal time here and there to drive my husband to medical appointments and be an extra ear to hear the options, etc. In my mind I have far too much to do to take a sick day.
I can handle pain, but the ticking of my wristwatch was even bothering me this morning. Seems not too bad now.

Hope you felt better after some rest so we can have a snowball fight.
:snowball:bundleup:snowhappy:snowball

It went well except for the delivery driver refused to brino any pallets into our backroom. I know he was just following the rules bit it was upsetting as I have never used a pallet jack with a full pallet of product on it. He wasn't very helpful but the cashier with me stepped up and helped.

Feel better!

Thank you! It did. I am off now until Wednesday since everything for my cousin is Monday and Tuesday
thank you everyone....a little better this morning, still sore throat and no energy so I baked a banana bread because the banana's were getting old.

Good Morning ... Another wet morning here. Any more rain and we may need an ark UGH .. Ground is so saturated that when you walk on the grass you hear squish and see the water come up around your shoe. We are headed to a meat market and the grocery store later. I will blow a good chunck of this months grocery budget but the meat prices cannot be beat so we are stocking up. We are doing a redcued carb and clean eating diet .. well at least 75% clean eating LOL Been doing it for a week now and although I havent lost any weight I do feel better. Have a great day.

A quick Howdy and 2019 Well Wishes MMC Countdowners!

Thank you @Crown 84 for what has to be the longest internet gathering place for an enumeration gravitating toward the most wonderful time of the year!

Good to see you, RJD!

I am sure it will be a tough decision for Elizabeth, but I pray whatever she decides, she is happy. I hope you were able to get together with Jacob and your mother.

Aw, your poor hubby! Praying you receive good news from the doctors and that their plan of treatment is the one that will work for you. Keeping all of your family in my prayers and sending you much love and big hugs. {{{HUGS}}}

Thanks so much Meceka!

Hello all.

Wow, the first two days back to school were exhausting! It was like starting the whole school year again. Next week will be better no doubt. Everyone will be back in the normal swing of things.

Not too much going on this weekend. I need to get outside and take the lights and other decorations down. The weather is pretty decent today, so that might be on the agenda.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Morning MMC! A January Weekend has begun. NFL playoffs is on the agenda for me. Some relaxation is as well. I already started planning my vacations this year at work yesterday. Crazy huh? Just kind of getting a general idea of when to take time off and how much. The days of taking a day here and there are mostly over. I have been there too long and also get comp time now for some OT I work so I need to take several days off at once when I do so that I'm not out a day every other week lol. Anyway, hope you all enjoy your 1st Saturday of the year!

I book my vacation around this time, but officially our business year is from April to April. I get 30 vacation days, plus stats so it's great to plan time off. Think they made an error last year and I had to take a bunch of extra days off and then it turned out, they made an error about their calculations and I now miss out on 4 days for this year; I still get plenty of time off, there was a change in HR positions and I'm guessing that caused the confusion. I take a few days attached to long weekends, but we are encouraged to take ours in lumps so we can truly get a break from it all.

I'm guessing there might be a few other Cowboy fans attending the weather; you can catch a glimpse on a TV if there's a bar screen at the reception or maybe someone has a streaming app on their phone.
Just don't let your wife or the lucky couple catch you.
