...And I thought purchasing plane tix two months before my trip, to see the Ancient One and his bride, to Florida was bad...

Who knows. Maybe I don't need to be doing stuff so far a head of time, but our best friends that we're going with - she is the biggest planner, which is fine with me. I just told her I would help with whatever, but mainly just have me show up and I'm good with that! LOL

I'm a little giddy about the predicted upcoming snow storm too!

You and others mention snow and all the excitement and I click "like" for you and others who are finally seeing the fluffy magic, but just now I noticed only half a smile forming on my face. It's getting harder to fake my interest, I suppose. Took 20 minutes for my car to thaw this morning and a few icy slabs fell off from the side of the car during my drive.
I will be removing my snowman wreath possibly before Valentine's Day and replacing it with my Easter Bunny wreath to help the snow melt away before the end of March. Easter weekend is late in April this year. I would love to see some green grass by then.

Hope you feel better! I thought I was getting one coming on earlier as well - I had an aura, took some of my rescue meds and it seems to be better as the night is going on.

I had silver streaks, floaters and auras quite a bit today, even at the doctors. He told me to keep trying to exercise through it - felt like hitting him, but I know it's to keep the blood flowing and increase endorphins to and from my head in a healthy way since I don't like taking medication for them. I may have to cave and take the meds, but I'm trying diet and exercise and controlling lights and sounds when I can.
Oddly enough singing along to familiar tunes in the car doesn't seem to hurt, especially when Santa Claus is Coming to Town hits my speakers. HaHa.

Seriously frosty over here in Switzerland. My car was encased in rime this morning.

The sun is out, though - very pleasant! Had we had this sort of weather in December, my Chrimbo vibe would surely have been better.

The days are drawing out a lot now - the sun was only just going down at 6pm last night. Luckily this year, i'll not have to contend with weeding, wall-building, garage-painting and general Manual Labour (Ole!)... the joys of living in a broom cupboard.

Yipes! Where do you put your Christmas decorations? Sun goes to bed around 5:00 p.m. in my neck of the woods. I like daylight better; easier on the eyes for driving - easier for the pedestrians too, I suppose. HaHa.

I’m sure a pot of Moms chicken soup will get your daughter up and running again. I’m smiling as I write this not because your daughter isn’t feeling well but because your reaction to her illness is so sweet and loving. It was nice to read.

Sad. Yesterday at the mall, workers were preparing to remove the very last vestige of Christmas 2018.
All other decorations are now down until next season, which for Crabtree just means a little over 9 months!

Why does everyone have to Grinch the trees and malls; I'm not the only person who looks upon those set ups with a touch of child-like "awww". When I saw our mall make the switch, I said, "Poo-poo to the Whos!"

But when you think of it; 9 months isn't that far off.

And I suppose if all the decorations stayed up all year, it might not seem as special.

Still a sad reality.

Here's a little something to keep the mood swingin'.

Good morning and Happy Milestone Day! I've already scrubbed the floor and swept this morning. It was partly due to the dogs tracking some mud in to the house, but it was on the agenda anyway. DH smoked some ribs on the grill for dinner and threw in the crockpot to finish cooking, since he will be working tonight, to make things easier for dinner for me.

Not much planned for today. I have a follow-up appointment with my NP today, regarding all that has been going on. I pray she tells me I can go back to work here in a few weeks. I guess even if she does, it sounds more like it is the dermatologist that has the biggest say in all of this anymore, since he thinks it may still all be drug related and thinks my meds may need changed again and doesn't want to cause another seizure.

Anyway, just doing some odds and ends this am and probably just going to relax this evening since DH works. I hope you all have a great day - I'll check back in later!

I was thinking about you this morning, when my right wrist and inner arm came into contact with something and I started itching like crazy. I had to stop myself from complaining; a mild skin irritation or allergic reaction is nothing compared to your rash.
A co-worker of mine had her license suspended for seizures and I remember how much it bothered her that she couldn't drive until she was 6 months seizure free. In her case, she had her license back for all but a few months and took another seizure.
Thinking of you; I'll bet you're getting a bit restless hanging out at home, but make sure you're really well and ready to go back to work.

I really dislike waking up early & not being able to get back to sleep!! Hopefully you keep your power. Us girls are hoping to get a call from the boss on Monday morning telling us to stay home. LOL I am thinking about making a big pot of soup tonight or tomorrow afternoon, for the weekend. I always think soup is better after it sits a day or 2!!

My homemade soup is one of my favourite dishes. I'm making some on Saturday. I use a tomato base so my husband will eat it, but I've made some pretty delicious corn chowder and turkey noodle soup in the past.

Thanks to everyone that sent prayers and well wishes to my brother. I am hoping he will get released from the hospital tomorrow ahead of this winter storm. They still don't seem sure how much snow we will get here. They are talking about ice too, which of course is a whole other ball game. I don't plan on leaving the house Saturday or Sunday so I can enjoy it!

I know, it is frustrating, especially when I myself am in the medical field and try to do teaching and encourage people, but then I have to be the patient, I don't want to hear it, but it's all in good meaning. I hope it continues to help you!
