Morning MMC! TGIF for real! Sometimes at work it's just like overwhelming and you realize you are only 1 person trying to do 20 things at once. Well based on the weather forecast the next 3 days here and the fact I am off Monday it looks like this weekend could be called hibernation weekend! But I do have errands to do and I am not the type to stay home and do nothing all day. However, this weekend the tree will finally come down. But I will smile as I take it down as I think about how amazing it will be to put it up in 300 days again. Make it a great Friday!!!
Good Saturday morning! It’s -30°C/-22°F with the wind right now and temperatures will actually get colder as the day goes on. And we’ll likely have over 12 inches of snow by the time this snowstorm passes over us starting tonight. Wish I could just stay inside and cuddle up with David and watch movies all day but I have to work. David was feeling very down yesterday, he is facing unwarranted negative comments at work regarding his light workload as he waits for his shoulder surgery. And he is anxious about his pre-op tests on Monday. I wish I could take all of these struggles away from him. It worries me to see him like this. Right now he’s just sleeping peacefully with Loki by his side. I hope he just has a relaxing/worry-free weekend to recharge while I’m at work. And hope everyone will enjoy a great weekend as well.
Glad to hear it!! And I made tomato soup yesterday!
Thank you! I did have a wonderful evening.
Merry Friday Eve to you!
xx
Good morning MMC! My daughter has a basketball game and then I am going to hit the grocery store. Then we will be in for the rest of the night and tomorrow. They are now saying we could get more sleet so who know? We will have to see what happens. Hope you all have a great day and stay safe in the storm!
Well if you are making soup today, we are cooking together! My homemade soup is one of my favourite dishes. I'm making some on Saturday. I use a tomato base so my husband will eat it, but I've made some pretty delicious corn chowder and turkey noodle soup in the past.
Continued prayers!! Stay safe in the weather this weekend!!!Thanks to everyone that sent prayers and well wishes to my brother. I am hoping he will get released from the hospital tomorrow ahead of this winter storm. They still don't seem sure how much snow we will get here. They are talking about ice too, which of course is a whole other ball game. I don't plan on leaving the house Saturday or Sunday so I can enjoy it!
Well if you are making soup today, we are cooking together!I made a tomato based veggie soup the other week (still have some in the freezer) but today I'm making a ham & veggie soup. No tomatoes involved.
My mom/dad always made a delicious "turkey bone" soup. It didn't have noodles, but I'm sure they could be added!! Enjoy your day & your soup!!
Continued prayers!! Stay safe in the weather this weekend!!!

Thanks Crown! Have a great MLK Weekend!Good Morning, Weekend Appreciators.
Yep. We do look forward to and appreciate our weekends, don't we.
And we also appreciate our beloved Christmas Season and want to keep track of just how far off it is, so we won't be taken by surprise.
Well, that's why we are here. So that, through following the count, you will always be in the know and prepared!
Thus, we present today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 298
Days to Christmas Day: 340
And our next Milestone? The 1/4 point to the Season?
Well, that stands just 24 days up ahead. UNDER 3 1/2 WEEKS.
(And now you are prepared!)
It was quite pleasant here yesterday, with lots of sun, very little wind, dry conditions, and temperatures well into the 50's.
(Hey! The weather service got it right!)
Today and Sunday will see us again into the mid 50's before things take a cold turn late tomorrow.
For now, we are enjoying a nice, albeit cloudy, morning with a thermometer reading of 46 degrees, here in the capital city.
Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone.
(And a great weekend, too!)

Thank you! We are so proud of him. He won the Seamanship award which means that he did the best applying the classroom knowledge to the field
