Good morning, friends! I am off today, but have my niece all day. DH is working and is supposed to storm as the morning goes on, so we're just going to turn some movies on and play with some toys. DD has 2 hours of team baton tonight, so she'll being doing that and with the weather being bad, even after DH comes home, we won't even be able to go outside. That's about the max of our plans for the day.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday! Everyone who is in the path of the storms, especially @Iteachpercussion, I'm praying for your safety!

Update on Ohio tornadoes:
So far there is 1 confirmed fatality from the tornado that hit Celina (that was the first and most northern tornado)

There are 40 reported injuries from the tornado that went through the northern part of Dayton.

No word on any injuries from the tornado that went through the more rural region. I have seen a number of pictures that region, but have heard little.

Well the tornadoes last night have made national news. Just on the north side of Dayton, OH the tornado was on the ground for about 40 minutes and covered an area of 20 miles. Several schools are closed, lots of damage to apartments, houses, businesses. I-75 was covered with debris and they used snow plows to clean it up. Power is out for thousands of people in the area. So far there are no reports of serious injury with that tornado, but...

Another tornado hit the city of Celina just a few minutes before the one that hit Dayton. That tornado leveled a section of Celina and there are 7 injuries, but luckily no fatalities with that one either.

Then, yet another tornado (yes, that makes 3 tornadoes) hit a more rural area just west of where I live. That one did not stay on the ground long and did not do much damage. A barn was destroyed along with several trees from that one.

More storms in the forecast this evening, tomorrow, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday!
I'll be praying.

Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy here today with a high of 65. We’re expecting showers and maybe a thunderstorm later tonight.
I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend. We had my girls and parents over yesterday for a barbecue. The weather was beautiful and we had a great day!
I’m heading out soon to walk Rocky. I have to pick up a few things at the supermarket afterward. I also have a lot of laundry to do, I didn’t get to work on it yesterday. Dinner will be tacos. I guess that’s it for me.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
xx

Praying for safety for those in the path of strong storms and tornadoes. I hope there are very few of those this summer.

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend. And I learned to make frozen hot chocolate!

Glad to hear you had fun! We occasionally make it here at home. It’s one of DS’s favorites!

Have never heard that one! Expressions like that fascinate me. I remember a few from my parents and grandparents back home that were rather...er...earthy.
The phrase has been employed for three generations, to date, and the eldest of generation number four may be ready for it this coming yule season.:)

Good afternoon! Severe weather is about to arrive and I have the house ready and prepared as much as possible. Most of PA is under a tornado watch until 10 PM tonight. The storm that is just a few miles is away, they are saying has the potential of doing so, with high winds and golf ball sized hail. I have the kids on high alert, ready to move them to the basement, and I have candles and flashlights out, incase we lose power. Anyone else who is in the path of bad weather, stay safe and God be with you! Praying it doesn't get too bad!

Wow, it seems like the weather is getting stronger and stronger. Stay safe all.

We had a little outing yesterday. Went to a cidery and talked with the owner. He gave us a little tour of the place and some neat information on how it's made and how cider consumption is slowly growing. I prefer it over beer, and more on the dry side. Strange though, the Ontario government treats cider like a beer for where it can be sold, but taxes it like wine because it's considered a fermented fruit.

We then stopped at a mall and picked up some Sleigh Ride tea from David's Tea. They're a Canadian tea company and they make a great selection of holiday teas as well as regular teas. Sleigh Ride has hibiscus flowers, apple, raisins, cinnamon, and almonds. It's great warm or cold.

Afterwards we stopped at the Lindt store, because who couldn't, and they still had some of their Christmas chocolates on sale. I picked up 100 candy cane and 100 dark peppermint for only $40. I'll bring some to work, but now that there's only 210 days until Christmas it may be fun to count down with a Christmas chocolate.

Take care all and I'll chat soon.
