Have a fun and safe trip!
Rain as stopped here. More on the way late Wednesday into Thursday. There is water in the basement again . Stayed home to monitor the situation. It's good I can work at home just as easily as out!

Sorry to hear about the water in the basement. Hopefully it does not cause you too much trouble.

I've only been to Detroit once in the past few years and I've never been to Cleveland although I've always wanted to see the Detroit Tigers play at their stadium.

I absolutely love Cleveland. My wife and I talk about moving there at some point. I am usually not a big city person, but I really enjoy downtown Cleveland. There is a lot to do, it is quite pretty and well kept.

Thanks, Sugar! I will be sure to keep my eyes peeled for the Christmas Blossoms. I can't promise this will be the last time I say this, but... thanks again to the MMC Community for being so welcoming!!!

You're so welcome! Ask away!!

Praying for you, friend!

Good Monday morning! Another gorgeous Sunmer morning here, but rain will move in later today. It was nice while it lasted. I have another load of laundry outside to dry and we’ll head out in a bit to go walking at the park with Loki. Enjoy your start to the week everyone!

I remember hanging clothes out on the line to dry them - well mostly my mom would hang the sheets outside and use the dryer for our clothes; I would hand her the pegs and sometimes play hide and seek with my dog. Smelled good.

Good morning all!

I bet you can't guess what is in the weather forecast today in Ohio... if you said rain you were right. More rain! Yep more of the same. If this was winter and all snow we would be buried by this point. Which I would be much happier about.

In any case, we made a mini-cation plans last night. A slight change from our original plan, but this will be great.
We are going to head to Cleveland on Thursday and visit the Natural History Museum and the Contemporary Art Museum. We will stay the night and visit the History Center and the Cleveland Art Museum and stay the night again. We might see a couple of other little things on Friday, but we are leaving it open. Then Saturday we are going to drive to Columbus (it is on the way home anyway) and go to COSCI (science center). We will then finish the drive home after that. The four museums were are seeing in Cleveland are all right together so it is really convenient. Plus, we have built up enough points with Marriott that our second night is free!

We are still going to go to Detroit to the Henry Ford Museum, but that will be a day trip next week.

I will take any opportunity to stay in Cleveland, I really like the city. It really has a lot to offer.

Well, everyone have a great day!

I like going to museums and sometimes grave yards - you can learn a lot about people and sometimes the history of the area by reading headstones.

What a beautiful sight!!!! Newbie Question (I couldn't wait for Leon Day, LOL): Is this the thread where I should post/expect to see pictures like this?

There is also a Christmas Blossoms thread that Crown starts up usually beginning of October - on the front page of the Countdown section with tons of photos of Christmas Decor sightings as well as lights around our communities, mall displays, etc.

It was such a beautiful morning that we decided to go for a hike at a nearby mountain park. We daw a deer and Loki loved the car ride back.

That photo of Loki reminds me of my dog Ragmop who used to catch the breeze when we were heading to my uncle's cottage.

We have had a few deer and bear sightings, but I never have my camera ready in time. I should get a dash cam one of these days.

I can only imagine how exciting it will be to see all of the posts!

Hope everyone is well! I was gone all weekend back up at home for my niece's high school graduation and for her final dance recital. She has been dancing with the same company since she was 6 years old and now she is 18 and this is her last year with them. Every year in June they put on a huge (but LONG) recital and I do enjoy going. And then yesterday was her graduation party. It was a good weekend seeing family and friends. The last time I had been up there for a few days was 7 weeks ago for my father's funeral so it was nice to go up there for a happy occasion. Now I am back home and can rest and start planning some decorations! I start putting up fall and Halloween stuff around the first week of September and that will be here before we know it! Hope everyone is having a great day!

A very Happy Birthday to your husband and daughter, HmG!
How are your parents doing?
Have a merry day, my friend! xx

Thank you Meceka!
And thank you for asking about my parents, they’re doing pretty well. They will be coming here on Sunday to celebrate Fathers Day so I’m looking forward to that!
I hope you have a good night. Sending hugs!!!
xo

Hobby Lobby is absolutely my favorite store for Christmas decorations. I love that they start putting things out in May.

We only have a Michaels crafty and hobby store in my neck of the woods; there is a Hobby Lobby two hours away by car.

I'm not all that crafty, but I get my blank cards from Michaels and love just looking around and sometimes will grab an ornament or grab a few items on sale.
