Isn’t it wild how time is flying?? Can’t believe the 4th is next week. I can’t wait for CIJ with everyone!!!!

Happy Hump / Pines Day - the week will fly by now! -reindeer-

I did it; got my tickets to Elton John's Farewell concert in October.

Had four side notes from fb friends offering their availability for the extra seat. HaHa. I should start a 200 word essay contest. Now I have to book my hotel in advance to make sure I can get one of the two places I prefer.

Drinking French Vanilla coffee out of my big Santa mug.

Guess who let his mama cat sleep until 4:55 - O'cat. That means he can come to the Pines tonight. Wonder what O'Malley and Carl were up to last time - working on an opera stage or summer play? I wonder.

Rain was expected today, but so far I see a blue sky and no clouds.

Keep a merry thought in your head!-surprise-

Happy Pines Day!!! I vote we play Elton John’s greatest hits while mixing up drinks tonight and noshing on the fired twinkies!!! So excited for you!!! Looking forward to CIJ with you soon!!

Good morning fellow Christmas lovers!
We're over half way back to Christmas and the most wonderful time of the year. Can you believe the 'Bers begin in 67 days?!

It's time for me to get to work. Have a wonderful day. :)

Can’t wait! Trying to enjoy summer while also very excitedly counting down to fall!!! Hope you had a great day!!

Happy Summer Vacations MMC! Looking forward to Crown's post today! I'm off the rest of this week. 19 out of these next 33 days I'm not working. Yes that includes weekends but that's still a heck of a stretch over a full month. I love taking time off in the summer. Have a great Pines Day!

Ooooo that sounds magical! Enjoy that time off!!!!!

Happy Hump Day!!
Typical work day for me...one of the people I work with is leaving and going to another area. I am happy for him but that just gives us more work to do until they replace him..ugh! Oh well, we'll get through it. My daughter's softball game was canceled last night so we have a game tonight. At least it's sunny but looks like it is going to be a warm day.
Hope you all have a good Wednesday!

My husband is going through being short staffed and I did last year-no fun at all. Glad we can help keep you Merry during CIJ soon!! Have a great rest of your week!

Hello, Hilarious Half-Wits.

<< Crown! That sounds mean! >>
You're right. I should have said "Half-Wayers".
Because we have most certainly arrived at the HALF-WAY point to Christmas!

<< But, we've got to verify it legally. To see.....if we....are morally, ethically, spiritually, physically, positively, absolutely undeniably and reliably there! >>
Well, as countmeister, I must aver, I've thoroughly examined the chart, and we aren't only merely there, we're really most sincerely there.
<< Then this is day of indep....I mean celebration! >>
Sure is!

Days to the Season: 140
Days to Christmas Day: 182

And TOMORROW Folks, we commence the second half of our journey and look ahead to the next Milestone marker.....something I'm afraid to do until tomorrow!

It was quite warn and humid yesterday as predicted, but we did not see any rain.
Today will be another dry one, with a predicted high of 91.
Currently, we stand at 73 degrees here in our sector of the grand MMC Nation.

Well OK, then. The first 'Pines open house of summer!
Next to Christmas, this is Carl's favorite season of the year and when he goes all out at the 'Pines with the decor, treats and, of course, the entertainment.
What will he do to open the new season? (Rumor has it that in honor of reaching the half way point, the gift shop merchandise will be half off.)
Come and see for yourselves this evening.
And bring your happiness with you.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

I have plenty of happiness to bring with me with this Milestone update, Crown!! Thank you!!! I’m hoping to pick up a T-shirt and keychain that have a camel on them that say “Carl’s Crazy for Christmas and so am I!” :)

Watching from the cheap seats but had to add my excitement to the pile, 1/2 way is HUGE!!! And yet, time passes so quickly that I know it will be here in no time! both good, and bad I guess...Cheers everyone...I'm bringing the Twinkies!

Yes time will pass before we know it, so I’m doing my best to soak it all in now. Have a great night! See you at the Pines!!

Happy Milestone Pines Day MMCers!!! Can not wait for CIJ coming up soon. I am so ready for it. It’s going to be a time of excitement for me all the way from now until Christmas-the second half of the year has vacation, teaching band camp, fall, and then holidays! What’s not to love???

Hope everyone has a great week’s end!

Happy Pines Day!!! I vote we play Elton John’s greatest hits while mixing up drinks tonight and noshing on the fired twinkies!!! So excited for you!!! Looking forward to CIJ with you soon!!

YES! Let's do it! There are 10 films being made around my city so it might take a bit of time for me to navigate the traffic to get to the PINES, O'Malley is already thumping his tail beside the cat cage so he's ready to go.

Yes, I'll be around for CIJ. So, very YABBA!-santa dance-

How come I'm hearing the the Coroner from the Wizard of Oz in my head from your opening revelation?

Well, the season is sliding by at rapid speed and I don't mind being a half-wayer tonight 'cause tomorrow we coast down the other side of the merry slope.

I never know what to wear at the Pines ... maybe I'll find something new at the shop.

C'mon, O'Malley cat; let's get a move on - the gang is waiting!!!

Stay Jolly! +j

I'm looking forward to CIJ myself. Planning to be watching that opening hour with a cup of coffee or two. I've really enjoyed that these past couple of years. Christmas doesn't feel so far away come July.

O'Malley and Carl had a great time performing on stage for the merry crowd at the Shispering Pines.

The camel coffee house was packed and Carl started off by reciting two poems which O'Malley attempted to act out with support of a few forum friends.

Carl's poem was featured during a visit to the Shispering Pines in the countdown thread many upon many moons ago and rests in the thread of the history of Carl for newcomers to read and get a sense of how he became part of our merry lives over the last 14 years (or so).

Ode of a Camel

The obvious plan
To frolic wherever I can.
To dream and to be
To dance ‘cause I’m free,
To travel around
Where caffeine is found
To socialize with friends
Where the fun never ends
That is the obvious plan.

There is a little rebel inside Carl, but if he gets you into a jam, he’ll likely have the know-how to get you out of it.

Carl loves Christmas. It’s likely because of his encounter with Santa all those years ago.

The Pines Camel

There once was a Camel who had three humps
Who learned how to play cards and do funky jumps
Who traveled the world afar
Got a traffic violation when driving a car

By sweat and much molting
He makes coffee blends that are rather jolting
He’s working’ at the Shispering Pines
Where the Playhouse Opera sends shivers up our spines
While Binger works on operas & sipping blends
Others wandered in and created plaid trends.

New poem shared by O'Malley the cat via the cat whisperer...

By the sweat of his brow,
Carl's a famous camel now
He has new fans
and Opera and java plans

His feral friend has joined the crowd
The cheers, chatter and music are loud
If you don't like noise
Stay home and play with your toys

Come to the Pines on hump day

Stay in the lodge and sleep away
If you've tried his java blends
Yule stay awake and the fun never ends.

What a great night! Glad I tried the summer blend so I didn't go to bed too early and miss all the fun.

-reindeer-Stay jolly! -mistletoe-

Happy Thursday Merry Ones! We’ve almost made it to the weekend-and CIJ on Sunday on QVC! Ahhh!!! I can’t wait to watch. I hope everyone is doing well and having a great week. I’m very busy today but will be only working a half day tomorrow so the end is in sight! Soak in every moment of sunshine! The days are flying past and we’re on the downward slope now!

Happy End of School Year MMC! Lots of kids have actually been still going the first few days of this week. But finally it's ended. Kids are free for the summer. I slept 9 hours and "late" for me (past 7 AM). Felt good. Sun is out. Going to get some sun today, go to lunch with someone I haven't seen in a while and enjoy the day. Have a great Friday Eve!

Good Morning, Second Halfers.

Yes, Folks. In case you missed it yesterday, we crested the summit of our Christmas Day count and have now started coasting on the downhill grade.

But passing a Milestone marker, no matter how major, just means that we have a new one to contend with.
We will get to the introduction of that next goal after we look at today's numbers.

Days to the Season: 139
Days to Christmas Day: 181

OK, now.
Let's get down to brass tacks. We have important business to attend to that's more than a little scary. It concerns our next Milestone, and we had best get ready for a shock.
As of July 14, just 17 days from today, we will be at the 2/3 marker to Christmas Season 2019.
Just let that sink in for a moment. TWO of the three thirds will be passed with only ONE remaining!
(Scary stuff!!)

Fairly humid yesterday until evening when it moderated quite a bit and came pretty close to being confortable. It was a sunny day with no rain.
Today we are supposed to hit 94 for the afternoon high, so we can only hope that the humidity does not return!
Currently, we record 73 degrees, here.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
And may visions of Weekend Eve dance in your heads!
