Enjoying a cup of Timothy's Light Breakfast Blend - not as good as Carl's.

Speaking of which - Happy Pines Day! Yes, it's already the middle of the week, but the second work day for me.

Had Wonton nachos and slivered steak for dinner at Lot 88 last night with a friend. First time going there. Prices were a bit high, but the food was good. I've only eaten nachos for dinner three times in my life. I couldn't finish it so she added my left over pile to hers to bring to work and warm up for lunch.

Today I have to go out of town for work, but I decided not to stay overnight so it will be a longer day, but I'll be home for dinner so O'Malley won't be alone. I don't mind the two hour drive in the summer; there's so much daylight.

It's foggy in my neck of the woods; rained a bit last night, but none expected today - should see rain and perhaps a storm tomorrow.

-surprise-See you at the Pines - stay jolly! -reindeer-

Good Morning....er....afternoon, Milestone Movers and Shakers!
(What happened earlier? I could not get on here until this afternoon!)

Now, while reaching these Milestones is indeed a moving experience, the speed at which they are passing has us shaking in our boots!

The latest count figures:
Days to the Season: 98
Days to Christmas Day: 140

And the newest approaching marker, now standing only ONE week away?
Well Folks, believe it or not, it's the 3/4 point to Christmas Season 2019!
(How can we possibly have come this far this fast??)

The heat and humidity staged somewhat of a comeback yesterday and we had a rain-free Tuesday.
This mid-week day will see us to the low 90's with about a one in three chance of precipitation.
Our opening thermometer reading here this morning was 74 degrees and we have climbed up to 85 at this hour.

Pines Day. Can it be here again already?
I've just barely eaten all the take-out fired twinkies I picked up last week, not to mention those gallon jugs of Carl's delicious tea, sweetened to perfection.
Our friendly activities director, and his cohort conspirator O'Malley the Wonder Cat, have been putting their heads together regarding tonight's entertaiment. Rumor has it that O'Malley may very well be starring in a season-related skit this evening.
(Hey! I don't know about you guys, but that's something I wouldn't want to miss!)

So, until we see you at the 'Pines, have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

*** TRAVEL ALERT! ***

It's family reunion time again for the Crowns, as we make our annual trip to South Carolina to visit my mother's side of the family.
We will be off this coming Friday morning, but after the daily post, so a countdown volunteer will be needed only for this Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Thanks in advance to whoever would like to take over for a couple of mornings!

Merry afternoon, Crown!
I had the same problem ~ it's good to be back!
Thank you for the update!

Sounds good; now that I'm only cooking for one; I always wind up with leftovers on purpose for another meal or lunch during the week. It's been hot around here, but soon I'll be back to making my homemade soup, chili, etc. I think it's a great idea to have a few meals prepared in advance to speed things up.
We try to have three dishes to rotate through, so the work week doesn't get too difficult. It typically works, but nothing can save us from super busy days like yesterday. Dinner didn't hit the table until 9:00. Not good...Very bad.:(

News to share with O'mal Kitty: Our 20 year old fuzzie has had his hunting pilot light rekindled, of late. We thought those days were long gone, but he has dispatched three field mice in as many weeks...Yabba!:D

I can do Saturday Crown

Good Wednesday afternoon, Christmas friends!

I was feeling kind of puny this morning, but after a couple of apples and a bottle of water, I'm feeling a little better. I hope it's not something that's going to keep me down for too long.

We bought some more furniture for Elizabeth's apartment yesterday, and this afternoon we're going to look at mattresses.

Lunch time! I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Unless someone has already stepped up, I can take Saturday morning.

That's awesome. There was a cat living on the hobby farm I playfully worked it back at the tail end of grade school. He was 21 and couldn't see or hear, but that didn't stop him from trapping a shrew I didn't know was even there until he caught it under his paws. He could still smell and I suppose may have felt the vibration.
That is rather yabba.
