A Good MILESTONE MORNING to one and all!
We have reached a new marker and will celebrate its arrival after we review today's figures.
Days to the Season: 80
Days to Christmas Day: 122
Folks, we have now completed TWO-THIRDS of our journey back to Christmas.
Can you believe that? Hard isn't it?
(But the chart will make a believer out of you!)
At last.
At LAST!
The heat has broken and we had a high of 72 yesterday after days on end of 90 degree, plus readings.
It came, however, with off and on again rain nearly the entire day. Now if we can just couple dryness with coolness, we will have it made, and that's what the weather service promises for today. (If true, I'm really looking forward to it!)
Our present temerature is a cool-for-August 65 degrees.
Have a Super Sunday, Guys!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend oasis.
Merry Sunday friends ~
Not too much going on here today. All three daughters will be here for dinner tonight, along with the husband, fiancé and boyfriend lol. I’m making baked ziti and chicken parmesan. The girls are bringing dessert. Should be fun. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx
Merry Sunday everyone!
I hope you are having a relaxing afternoon.
Thanks Crown! Happy Week Till The Bers!**********![]()

That sounds like a wonderful evening, HmG! xx
I listened to my first Christmas music since the winter today - Any Williams' Christmas album.
Thanks Crown! Happy Final Week of August!Good Morning!
As usual, we are both post-Milestone and pre-Milestone.
(It is always thus.)
The "post"?
That's would be the 1/3 marker to Christmas Day, passed just yesterday.
The "pre"?
Well......stay tuned for a shock.
Days to the Season: 79
Days to Christmas Day: 121
OK. Passing a Milestone simply means that we return to the chart, our count bible, and search out the next marker. Let's have a look, shall we?
Hmmm.....
Oh, no. It can't be.
And yet -- it IS!
Our next Milestone is the ONE HUNDRED DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW.
It's proximity? Three weeks hence from this very day.
WOW! BOTH of our counts will then start with double-digits.
Double-WOW!!
Quite pleasant indeed here yesterday, as the cooler weather that began on Saturday continued, this time with no rain.
The grass was still soaking wet though, so I had to wait until very late in the afternoon to mow, giving it a chance to dry some, but I did get it done.
Today will be a bit warmer but still nice and we have commenced it at 64 degrees.
Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
Enjoy your week ahead.
Sending a prayers for you, Merry. Take care!Just checking in ... keeping a low profile because I'm still in the doldrums. Not only hasn't the workload decreased, but now all employees are assigned to read a 260-page business book (provided by the head guy) and prepare a 3-minute presentation about it. Honestly, I can't see anyone in my department having time for that, as we're all working 9- to 10-hour days, and some even longer. I want my weekends free to try to recharge my physical and mental batteries. We had a few days' vacation, but the first day back at work, plus preparing for a medical procedure next week, have sort of canceled that out. The holidays are, sadly, starting to look like just more tasks added to the plate with other demands on time and energy. I'll be checking in every day as usual, but not posting much until I can spread some cheer.
My favorite!I listened to my first Christmas music since the winter today - Any Williams' Christmas album.
