A Good MILESTONE MORNING to one and all!
We have reached a new marker and will celebrate its arrival after we review today's figures.
Days to the Season: 80
Days to Christmas Day: 122
Folks, we have now completed TWO-THIRDS of our journey back to Christmas.
Can you believe that? Hard isn't it?
(But the chart will make a believer out of you!)
At last.
At LAST!
The heat has broken and we had a high of 72 yesterday after days on end of 90 degree, plus readings.
It came, however, with off and on again rain nearly the entire day. Now if we can just couple dryness with coolness, we will have it made, and that's what the weather service promises for today. (If true, I'm really looking forward to it!)
Our present temerature is a cool-for-August 65 degrees.

Happy Final Week of August MMC! I saw a house this morning with a purple tree lit. Quickly I realized it was a sign of Halloween. It looked really cool too. Great way to start off the last week before the Bers hit this weekend. 4 days of work for 4 days off for me. Have a great start to the Final Week of August!

I am trying one of Carl the camels blends - half original roast coffee and half hot chocolate. I used to like dark roast, but I've been finding coffee tasting rather bitter lately. I wonder if it's just the k-cups I'm using so I have tried a variety of them.
Off today and back to the grind tomorrow.
Students in my neck of the woods head back to school next Tuesday.
I noticed the leaves on the old Ash tree outside my kitchen window seem to be shrinking and losing some of their colour - you know what that means.
The leaves on the trees along the creek still look good. One tree that gets most of the wind and sunlight seems like it is already leaning toward a yellowish tinge.
Stay jolly!

Good morning....I am up early to bring my daughter to soccer camp. My kids start back on Wednesday so they will be enjoying their final days of relaxation. Hope you all have a great day!!

It’s going to be a nice day, sun and clouds with highs near 74 degrees. Definitely a bit cooler out there this morning. Rocky has a groomer appointment today. I’m going to run a couple of quick errands while he’s there. Back home afterward to work on some chores. I’m going to visit my parents later this afternoon, my father wasn’t feeling well yesterday so I want to see how he’s doing. I’m going to make a new soup recipe tonight, chicken cordon bleu soup. Sounds good, hopefully it tastes good! That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

OK. Passing a Milestone simply means that we return to the chart, our count bible, and search out the next marker. Let's have a look, shall we?
Hmmm.....
Oh, no. It can't be.
And yet -- it IS!
Our next Milestone is the ONE HUNDRED DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW.
It's proximity? Three weeks hence from this very day.
WOW! BOTH of our counts will then start with double-digits.
Double-WOW!!
Quite pleasant indeed here yesterday, as the cooler weather that began on Saturday continued, this time with no rain.
The grass was still soaking wet though, so I had to wait until very late in the afternoon to mow, giving it a chance to dry some, but I did get it done.
Today will be a bit warmer but still nice and we have commenced it at 64 degrees.
