Well, yes they do

Face time might help you through this hurdle of empty nest syndrome.
At my age ... and because I'm carrying the medical and dental insurance for both of us ... and because I'd be throwing away 12 years' tenure with vested retirement and 20 days' vacation ... not an option.
Yes. Goes to show that Milestones can come in many forms!Nice to see a familiar mile marker pop up on the road to the season...![]()
We had a flood at a local shore town. It was weird to see 4 out of the 5 local streets flooded with water. Last time I saw that was hurricane Sandy. That was a crazy storm years ago.
Hope everything will turn out okay for your parents.
Praying your father is better! {{{HUGS}}}
I'll bet it will taste great if you're making it - I'm not one to follow recipes - just a little of this and that and see how it goes is my way of cooking. Hope your dad is okay.
Hope everyone is well! My husband and I just returned from a four day trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto. We had been to Niagara Falls twice together in the past but both times were in the winter for my birthday and the falls were usually mostly frozen. This was his first time them in warmer weather. We then headed up to Toronto to see a concert, Blue Rodeo. Many of our Canadian friends up north here at MMC responded a few weeks ago when I asked if they knew of/listened to them. I have been a fan for about 25 years and have only seen them once, in Cleveland in 2000. They don't seem to come to the US very often so I finally convinced my husband to take me to Toronto to see them. I can honestly say it was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life! They were absolutely fantastic!! And Toronto is such a beautiful city. I had been there once at age 12 but that was a loooong time ago! It was a much needed short vacation for us. Hope everyone is having a great day!
Thanks Crown! Labor Day is Looming!Good Morning, Soon-To-Be-Double-Digiters!
Yes, Folks. In less than three weeks now, BOTH of our counts will number in double-digits.
(Then, won't things start to move fast, especially seeing as that will closely coincide with the launch of "Christmas Blossoms 2019"!)
Days to the Season: 78
Days to Christmas Day: 120
And that second number does indeed confirm that the 100-Day Christmas Window will arrive in a scant 20 days from today!
Slowly the heat returns, but it's still quite nice indeed for late August around here and there was no rain yesterday.
For this second day of the work week, the weather service states that our high is supposed to be 82 with only a 10 percent chance at precipitation.
Currently, we find ourselves with a 67 degree temperature reading here in the capital city.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Friends!
HMG sorry you couldn't take the job at the preschool after all. But family always comes first, I agree. I hope your father will continue to improve. Enjoy your day.Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be partly sunny today with a high of 70-75, we’re currently at 62 degrees. I just heard on the news that Starbucks Fall food and drink lineup will be hitting the stores today
I visited my parents yesterday and my father is continuing to struggle to do things on his own. I decided I’m not going to take the preschool job because my mother just can’t do it all on her own. It’s okay though, I only took the job because I was just looking to get out of the house for a couple of hours. I thought it would be a good idea to keep myself busy because my middle one will be looking for an apartment soon. So I will be added to the list of empty nesters. Where do the years go?
Anyway, it will just be a typical day of errands and chores. I’ll see my parents this afternoon. Dinner will be tacos. First I’m heading out to take Rocky for a nice long walk.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!
xx
