She was wished happy birthday all day long and recieved a few birthday surprises in the mean time. You will have a BLAST, especially when the children are young.

Thanks so much for the info! It’s my families first visit too. We’re very excited!

It will be a lovely harvest moon this evening so we have the telescope ready to have a look and see whether we catch the man on the moon.
Children all settled into school - Charlotte has first practice of Les Mis for the school play in December, Yvie is off to gymnastic and I can be mums taxi for the evening.
Eldest is settled into Uni, all unpacked and ready for her final year. She's signed up and had her interview for Americamp next summer, just waiting on a placement. Cant believe she'll be so far away from us - but I know she will have an amazing time.
Tomorrow we all get to do something really exciting. My best friend is getting married next June and we are going dress shopping with her! The girls are crazy excited.
Enjoy your Friday evening :)

Ok. Who put the mr bubble in the Pines jacuzzi? There’s suds everywhere. Yabba!
Did you notice any camel or cat fur near the "tub"?o_O

Hi Friends,
We are finally moved into our new home!
What a crazy few weeks but I'm so grateful to be settled and have been decorating, painting, laying carpets etc
With the arrival of Sony Xmas Movies in the UK and the colder, wetter weather it definitely starting to feel much more like the 'ber' months should do.
Wishing you all a merry day
Congrats on the new castle! Lots of new places to decorate!!:D

Good morning and Happy Friday! It feels like fall here today in my part of Pa. I REALLY need to start packing for Disney, since we leave Monday evening. I work tomorrow and Sunday, 7a-7p and depending on what time I get out of work, I may not have time to do it when I get home or feel like doing it. Monday I am having a girls day with my best friend (she is the other mom, who is going to Disney with us - we go on all of our vacations together), we're going for coffee, mani & pedis, and lunch, then we leave for Pittsburgh that evening, to fly out early Tuesday morning for Orlando, so I won't have much time that day either.

DD turns 10 on Sunday. Double digits - I can't believe I am saying that myself. We are having a small get together here at the house tonight, so I need to run to the store and get a few things, including the cake. We're just having pizza. We bought a keyboard for her gift. She self taught herself the piano at my MIL's, over the last few years and now wanted her own keyboard and wants to take lessons to get better, to really be able to start playing more songs, etc. I am going to look in to that when we get back from Disney, hoping that with her already doing three group competitions for baton ( this is all practiced the same night mind you) and individual baton, plus maintaining wonderful grades, and the other stuff she does at school, it isn't too taxing for her. I want her to still be a kid. She enjoys all the things she does and asks to do it, but I just don't want it to affect her school work - straight A's is hard maintain, as I know all parents know and school is always going to be the number one priority in our household!

Sorry I carried on there for a minute or bragged about my kids if I did. I am just so proud of both them - as I know all parents are! I am looking forward to our vacation, if you can't tell. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Never feel poorly about sharing how great your kids are...We will cheer them on from a far.... :)

Definitely exciting times ahead for your family!

GM- happy Friday!! Looking forward to another relaxing weekend! My daughter's softball games got canceled so no need to rush around. Looks like we will have some nice fall temps and I saw on FB that an orchard we usually go to is starting their apple picking this weekend. Exciting times as we are almost into a new season!! Hope you all have a great day!

I love this time of year; Ontario apples are a regular staple until the end of November - mmm. I still buy them during the other months, but they're likely old stock or coming from a warmer climate.

I actually bought a bag of McIntosh apples. I also enjoy Cortland although they suggest they be used for apple pies. I tend to go for the more tart varieties, but try a few others.

It's great that you have some steadfast friends to go on vacation with so much more fun to make plans like that together.

Happy Birthday to your daughter; 10; so special.

I was able to invite 10 friends over when I turned 10 (Kim, Susie, Missy, Janey, Alexa, Donald, Craig, and ? oh no, I forget the rest - I'm sure it will come back to me). The keyboard sounds like a great gift. I hope it works out for her with the lessons and the baton practices. I understand that you want to make sure she doesn't exert herself too much and not have energy left for her studies. I thought two of my grandchildren were participating in too many after school sporting activities, but they didn't seem to mind and excelled at everything they did and their school work didn't suffer so it was a good fit for them. Glad I didn't say anything since it worked out fine.

Sharing family stories is all good here; don't worry about long posts or "bragging"; it's really just describing special things that help you love them all the more. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say, "we're cool with it".

Have a great time at Disney; looking forward to hearing all about it.

Thanks, Auntie! I truly appreciate it!

Good morning, friends! Sitting here and enjoying my morning coffee. Currently watching Holiday Inn and enjoying my fall decorations. Nothing really planned for the day. Brad's post about DG getting their Christmas decoration's out inspired me to run there and see if they have anything out at mine. DH is working today, but this evening, we talked about having a fire. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Sounds like the perfect day Sugar. Hope you did find some Christmas decorations!
In Norway we can see the first sign of Christmas stuff in October. I can't wait!

Good Morning, took the day off from work today. Going to go apple picking later today and hopefully start making and canning applesauce/applebutter, apple pie filling this weekend. It will probably take me this weekend and next weekend to finish all of them. Going to the high school football game tonight to watch our son perform with the marching band. Well need to go get chores done. Have a great day!

Sounds like a wonderful day Minta

Good morning!
It’s going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 70 degrees. It’s a typical day for me of errands and chores. I’m going to visit my parents as well. I also plan on taking a beach drive later tonight, the skies will be pretty clear so the view of the harvest moon should be amazing. I hope everyone has a nice day and great weekend ahead!!!
xx

Aww...beach drive ♥
Hope it was as wonderful as I picture it ♥

Yes it's Saturday, sleep in day, but here I am awake since 3:25 so I'm up, having my java in my permanent favourite coffee mug with the big plaid S on the front and a merry strip along the handle. I do believe it was a Christmas gift, but I can't remember if it was from the exchange last year or from a co-worker.

Here's an old Java song to keep you company while you sip a little something this morning. No, it's not the one you think I'd be sharing.

Off to visit a co-worker and her brand new son who was born last Monday to visit and drop off his baby gift and a parcel for his big brother who just started JK on Thursday. I tried to connect with her on my last vacation, but she was visiting relatives.

I remember when my little cousin was born and I had only seen puppies and kittens born before that so I was surprised that her eyes were opened already. Haha.

Her first born is a bit of a high energy child and it appears so far that his baby brother is calming him down as he is relaxed and gentle around him and loves him already. I was worried that he wouldn't care so much having to share his parents, but he's accepted him with open arms - literally. I don't know her husband all that well, perhaps I'll see him today as well if he's not working.

A bit of housework and errands to run as well today, but first I must make merry here on MMC.

Stay jolly +i

Happy Mid-September Weekend MMC! We made it to another Bers Weekend. Awesome. Today I have my normal Saturday stuff going on. Kind of a cloudy day today which is rare here for a Saturday but not much rain expected. Hopefully we'll get a little sun out there. Have a great Mid-September Weekend!
