The so called rain didn't happen today. In fact, it's a lovely blue sky (started out a bit dark-ish) so I'm hoping for similar weather tomorrow so I can take a hike in the afternoon instead of waiting until Sunday when they say it will be sunny.

On my drive 1hr. 10 minutes away from here, heading West, the leaves hardly even changed colours and were blown off the trees from winds and some of the pines looked burnt. We had an extremely cold winter and not as much rain as usual over the summer and I guess those farmlands got hit with a bit.

The leaves around here are nice and a bit of a hike up North will be lovely as well.

Wonder if my dad is up for a drive through Algonquin Park (if it's not raining over the weekend). I don't care for stopping at the side of the small HWY to take photos, everyone does, but then I worry about my car and sometimes my personal safety so an extra passenger a.k.a bodyguard seems like the right way to go.

The weather is quite cool in the evenings and warms nicely in the afternoons. The weather network says it's 14, but my car said it was 23 and it sure felt like it; I'm going with my car 'cause the weather comes from the airport and it's a different climate up there. I even passed a guy on a skateboard wearing floral shorts (course he's probably just a "cool" high school youth).

I have to get back to work; stay jolly! :shakeit

Happy Milestone Day and today is my 20th wedding anniversary! Can you believe only 3 more months until the big day!! Typical workday for me and tonight we are going to grill some steak. Hope you all have a great day!
Congratulations!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I took Nancy's car to get the oil changed yesterday afternoon, then we met our niece and her two boys at IHOP for Addams Family Pancakes. They were super! And super-sweet with all that cupcake icing and whipped cream. It was just about too much sweet for me, I have to say. Whew!

Tonight we're taking Jacob & Elizabeth to dinner.

Nancy and I are still planning a trip to the mountains this weekend (right where @mgramsey was yesterday). I can't wait to enjoy those cooler temperatures. It was 100° here yesterday, and it's supposed to be again, today. Ugh.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Be safe traveling. Weather will be warm but a lot cooler than south Georgia. No leaf color yet.

Cat doesn't realize I have the day off. I finished my project last night so I won't have to use half my vacation day to complete it. Might have to do a few edits, but that's all.

The hallway light burned out when I flicked it on this morning. I just replaced it in July so it should have lasted much longer. In fact, I don't think I replaced it more than four times since I lived here. I must be using it more. O'Malley blends in with the carpet sometimes so I often leave it on early in the morning and late at night, but that's only about 4 hours in total. I have to wait for my dad to visit because I only have a step ladder so I need someone to pass the shield, bolt and old bulb to and someone to pass me the screwdriver and new longer lasting energy saver bulb.

Sunrise is a bit later and sunset a bit earlier; I prefer more daylight, especially for driving.

I like it when the sun shows up at 5:30 a.m. and doesn't disappear until 9:00 p.m.

Sounds like Crown is about to unveil the BLOSSOMS thread. -season-

Merrylicious! :ornarment

(My new word for everything that offers a hint of Christmas).

Stay jolly! +f

Good morning and Happy Friday!
It’s going to be a nice day with a high of 73, we’re currently at 55 degrees. I’m going to walk Rocky soon. I already tidied up the house and started laundry. I have a chiropractor appointment this morning. I’m going to stop at the butcher afterward to pick up a couple of things. I also have plans to visit my parents this afternoon. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a great weekend ahead! Can not believe this will be the last weekend of September. This month flew by!
xx

Good Morning, my Blossoming Friends!

That word was not used randomly. There was a purpose for it. And as you might guess, the reference is to our annual Christmas Blossoms thread which debued yesterday evening. Check it out and contribute!

Today's info:
Days to the Season: 47
Days to Christmas Day: 89

The 90 percent, Home Stretch marker to Christmas Season 2019? Well, that's now only TEN days ahead.
SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow!
(Can you believe we will soon be entering the last ten percent of the journey to our season of choice??)

It continues warm, but not uncomfortable here in central NC.
The humidity is at tolerable levels and we have had no rain recently. The only real negative is the mosquitoes that are back in near full force.
Our starting temperature for this edition of Weekend Eve is 72 degrees.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks!
And a great weekend ahead.

Thanks Crown! Happy Final Friday of September!

Good Friday morning! The sun is out and it’s going to be a beautiful warm (but not hot) Autumn day. I fell back asleep on the couch while watching the news this morning, with Loki on my lap. Time to get this day going. Too bad I’m working the afternoon/evening shift, another day off to enjoy the sunshine would’ve been welcome. Have a wonderful day everyone!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

We took Jacob out for dinner last night, since I missed his celebration a couple weeks ago while Mama was in the hospital. He always wants to go to the same Asian restaurant. It's very good food, and reasonably priced, but my goodness! Choose another restaurant sometimes! LOL

Nancy and I are slipping away for a weekend without the kids tomorrow. Is it normal that I feel a little guilty about that? o_O

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
