Christmas Countdown - 2019

I have a huge community event tomorrow; I'm on the organizing committee and take photos every year for the Learning Partnership. It's a great morning (8:30-12:30) of free interactive displays and workshops geared to families with young children (roughly 6 and under).

Tomorrow would have been my husband's birthday so I'm hoping that the weather holds true to being mainly sunny so I can go for a drive listening to his favourite tunes from a USB stick that I popped into my car last night after my battery was charged.

My dad doesn't celebrate birthdays anymore, but I picked him up a pair of night driving anti-glare glasses - just because; his birthday is also tomorrow. We used to celebrate them together.

Happy Friday!! Busy day at work and my daughter has a soccer game today at 4. Tomorrow my husband and I are headed to RI for an overnight for our anniversary. It should be fun, I am looking forward to a nice dinner and relaxing. Hope you all have a great day...fall is in the air!!

I'm on my first day of no work for ten days. Loving it.
Michelle will be off all next week also.
We'll have more of a staycation than a vacation.
But the Georgia National Fair (Just a couple miles up the road) coincides with our time off, so we'll end up there several days I'm sure.

We took our old man fur baby for a swimming lesson this week. His arthritis is really bothering him affecting his back legs so we wanted to try and help build his muscles to a bit.
He absolutely hates water and in his 13 years has avoided it as much as possible so we were delighted to see how he progressed though the session.
I can’t quite work out how to add a picture though!

Good Morning ... Finally a nice brisk and chilly fall morning! Been real busy lately between work, home, son's marching band schedule and our daughter turned 18 earlier this week so we had a family party at the house. Heading out in a little while for another marching band competition today which will keep us out until late tonight. Going to need to layer up but that's OK, I would rather layer up than suffer in the heat and high humidity. Have a great Day!

Morning all and a happy Sunday to one and all. We're off to my uncles 70th birthday celebration dinner today, so trying to get the chores done early. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, friends. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. We currently sit at 68 degrees on the deck drinking coffee.

Been a busy few days here. Football, work, etc. Things finally slowed down yesterday morning. Got to sit outside with a fire and listen to some music. Today, I plan on sitting on the deck, cooking, and watching some football. This is such an awesome time of year. Being able to sit outside in cooler, listen to football, and do some cooking is about as fall as it gets!

My Aunt is having a rough go at it. She has beat breast cancer twice in the past 7 years. She has been having some bladder issues and she went to the ER on Wednesday. They found two masses. The following hoursvwas a pretty intense situation. They immediately gave her medication, prepared her for transportation, and sent her two hours away for surgery. Did a complete hysterectomy and removed her appendix. Her bloodworm is still abnormal. If you don't mind, please say a prayer or two for her. We have always been pretty close and I'm terribly worried about her.

Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy today with light rain and a high of 68 degrees. Not too much going on, I just want to pick a couple of pumpkins and finish decorating the front of my house. My washing machine broke earlier, the water never stopped running once I started the cycle so my basement is flooded. I felt bad to wake my husband up and tell him that, especially on a Sunday morning. Hopefully he’ll figure out what happened! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Merry Sunday all y'all bunch of Christmas and Fall lovers.

A photo I took of the HWY along Algonquin Park a few years ago.

And one of my favourites; if you turn your view sideways it looks like a Christmas Tree.

We had nice weather for our community event and were hoping for 300 families; we wound up with over 800 (adults and children counted) participating in 4 dozen activities.

I let a tarantula walk around my hands and wrists.

I took a short drive after in the car; listening to tunes and remembering previous birthday celebrations for my husband and my dad. Then I decided to go home and listen to music instead of wasting gas and driving around.

There were fireworks last night for the Homecoming celebration for the local Battalions Hockey Team that seemed to last longer than our Canada Day fireworks. They gave me a migraine, but it's not as bad today.

It finally feels like fall here in Ohio; plus we are getting some rain today, something we need very badly.

My wife is almost done with the giant sandworm (from Beetlejuice) she is building. It will be the main part of our Halloween decorations in the front yard. Can't wait to put that outside!

Good evening, MMC friends! I'm FINALLY caught up here. I had a nice weekend camping. It was chilly Friday night. It dropped to 38F, but last night wasn't bad. It stayed in the 50's. I'm currently snuggled up on the couch with a pumpkin spice coffee, watching Hocus Pocus and reading the rest of the boards. Hope you're all having a great Sunday!

Sunday Football day. Football is my vice. Another day forecasted for the 90s in SoCal. **sigh**

I'm not a big sports fan, but watch Football leading up to the finals and a bit of baseball, tennis, horse racing and the odd hockey game unless there are Olympic competitions than I catch some of the events.

What a wonderful thing you are doing to help your fur baby deal with arthritis. He looks so sweet.

Glad you’re ok, Auntie! I’m sure that was scary too.

The custodian of the school where I had my car parked, let me stay inside the school lobby to stay warm, but his shift was over at 7:00 and I didn't want to cause any trouble because they're on a "work to rule" with pending contracts.

I don't even know him and he waiting outside until my tow truck came.

Nice guy.
