Good morning all! Happy Friday Eve or as for me, this is my Pre-Monday, since I work the weekend. I am just doing a little more on-line shopping, adding a few more things to the decor I couldn't pick up in stores and then going back and picking up what I decided I still want to get at Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx from yesterday, have to run to work around 2:00, for a mandatory class that is only an hour, which stinks, because round trip, it takes me an hour to get to work, but unfortunately I have to do, get home quick so DH can get to work, then the kids have a Halloween themed Math party for a few hours, and then DS has guitar lessons tonight. Pheww! It will be a busy day/evening! Looking forward to relaxing though tonight for the programming on TV, if I can stay awake! LOL. Hope you all have a great day!

Hope everyone is well! My nephew's school was having a fundraiser and of all the things in the catalog, what do I buy? Christmas wrapping paper of course. I have SO much wrapping paper but I am quite obsessed with it. I can't be the only one! Anyway, it just got delivered so I am going to go check it out and add it to my HUGE stash I already have! Merry Tuesday!

So there was good news/bad news regarding my brother's condition. The good news is that the chemo is working on the lungs and the doctors are pleased with his progress in that department. No word on how the lymph nodes and bones are doing. The bad news is that there is another spot on the brain and my brother is still not eating and he has refused a feeding tube. Tomorrow he has consults with the radiologist and his oncologist. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

...and the prayers just keep on coming.

Days to the Season: 20 (UNDER three weeks to go!)
Days to Christmas Day: 62 (Two months from tomorrow!)
(Things are getting out of control, Guys. The holidays are approaching too fast!)

Fairly pleasant here yesterday with just a bit of a nip in the air. Plenty of sun though, and no rain.
Today shows a predicted high of 72, with highs in the low to mid 70's for the balance of the week.
Right now, it is 46 degrees here in mid NC.

Good evening, everyone!

It's been another busy week. My race went well on Sunday. For those that were wondering, I ran a marathon in Quebec, just north of Montreal. I ran it in 2 hours 55 minutes and 40 seconds, which means that I qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2021... I now just have to be accepted when registration opens again next year.

It feels weird to say this, but I have two days "off" starting tomorrow. Actually, I have surgery tomorrow. It's nothing serious, only a small procedure. Even so, I will be off my feet for 2-4 days. We'll see how it goes. I hope to get a lot of work/preparation done during the next few days.

Even though this is usually my favourite time to see everything blossoming in stores, I won't be able to go anywhere now until after Halloween. It's a real disappointment, but that's how it goes this year.

I hope you all had a wonderful 'Pines Day. I'll do my best to visit tomorrow although I likely will be heavily sedated.

I just straightened up the house and started laundry. Just having a cup of coffee and a bite to eat right now. It’s pretty chilly out there this morning. I’m going to wait until it warms up a bit before I walk the dogs. It will just be a typical day of errands and chores. My middle one is home sick, she went to the doctor yesterday and tested positive for strep. Hopefully the antibiotic kicks in quickly! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

I'm back at work, feeling about 90%. Close enough; I can't sit on the couch another day. I promised everyone that I'll keep my distance today and tomorrow.

I think even Lulu got boring with me, after two days with no playing or riding in our truck LOL.

Thanks, Meceka. I have been putting this off for a few years, so it's nothing major, really. I'm actually impressed that it hasn't hurt a whole lot yet!

I've thanked a lot of you individually, but I must say that the surgery went well. I had anticipated that I would be sedated for the surgery. Instead, I was only frozen and had to take a needle. I don't do well with needles - at all. I've also had a fear of being away during surgery, so I didn't react very well to the entire procedure. I tried to focus on other things although it was difficult.

Much to my surprise, my leg has not really been in pain at all today. I was also not prescribed any painkillers and only told to take Extra Strength Tylenol when needed. Now, I'm just hoping that all of your kind words and thoughts lead me to a speedy recovery. Thank you for that, once again.
