Hey everybody! Merry Pines Day!!!

Merry Pines Day!
Not too much going on here today. It’s going to be a nice day, sunny with highs near 64 degrees. Chloe has a vet appointment later this afternoon, it will be the first time she’s seeing our veterinarian. Fingers crossed that goes well. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. Dinner will be raviolis and meat sauce. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
xx
Um - who's Chloe? Should I know her??? ;)

Merry Sunday MMC ~
Been busy the past few days, haven’t posted much. Just wanted to share the news, we adopted another dog that was in need of a home. She’s a 7 year old Yorkie. She is settling in really well and getting along with Rocky, Bella, Bentley, Sophia & Rosie. Her name is Chloe.

Good Tuesday evening, Christmas friends!

I woke up this morning to start packing fro my golfing trip, and I noticed I wasn't feeling very good. By noon I was running a fever, so I went to the doctor. A stomach bug and a 101 temperature. So I had to stay home today, doggone it. After two shots in my behind, though, I feel a bit better.

I hope y'all have a great evening! :D

Praying you are 100% better soon!

Merry Wednesday / Hump / Pines / Concert Day! -glitterstocking-

I could hardly sleep last night. At 11:00 p.m. my body was still vibrating with excitement and I couldn't settle down. It reminded me of how I felt the Christmas before I admitted to my mom that I knew all about Santa Claus. I was 9 years old that Christmas Eve, turning 10 the following March. I was so excited for Christmas because I had some doubts and the biggest worry of all was that if I didn't believe in Santa; I wouldn't get any presents.

Well, Christmas morning was met with much jubilation and I was not disappointed in fact there were reindeer footprints on the front lawn and across the street. Santa's treat was eaten, milk drank and reindeer treats gone.

I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked, but thankfully I managed to get about 5 hours in total - I think. The cat tried to get me up at 3:00, so I made the mistake of feeding him again to get him to leave me alone. Mistake because it will become a habit for him to eat in the wee hours of the morning rather than waiting until I'm up and at it.

I hope y'all have a great time at the Shispering Pines tonight.

Although I'll be focussed on Elton John, I know I will have a jolly moment when I think about everyone here having fun with Carl the camel.

The weather is calling for rain here, but as I get closer to my destination it's supposed to be sunny and tomorrow will only see a bit of sun showers for the drive home.

My friends aunt-in-law passed away on Monday at the age of 72 after a year of hospitalization. I was with her when she was notified.

I read the obituary and realized that I know four of the family members; I thought it was interesting that I never met my friend's husband in the days I knew some of his cousins and a sibling.

Anna reminded me of our Louann; she had a passion for fur babies and rescued many over the years.

Have a great day; not sure I'll get time to check in tomorrow, but I'll be back in full merry swing on Friday.

Have a merry time tonight, Auntie!

Awkward Anniversary Dept: My brilliant bride is out of town on the afore mentioned family business, while I work and take care of the cat. We marked the wedding remembrance with a quick exchange of heartfelt Messenger phone blips, this morning...Not even close to romantic, let alone swoon worthy...We'll properly address this axle breaking pothole "celebration" down the road. We have tickets for the Michael W Smith - Amy Grant Christmas at the beginning of December. It is our belated night out.-sing-

Happy Anniversary!

Merry Tuesday!

So there was good news/bad news regarding my brother's condition. The good news is that the chemo is working on the lungs and the doctors are pleased with his progress in that department. No word on how the lymph nodes and bones are doing. The bad news is that there is another spot on the brain and my brother is still not eating and he has refused a feeding tube. Tomorrow he has consults with the radiologist and his oncologist. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Happy Anniversary and I envy your concert plans.

Good evening, everyone!

It's been another busy week. My race went well on Sunday. For those that were wondering, I ran a marathon in Quebec, just north of Montreal. I ran it in 2 hours 55 minutes and 40 seconds, which means that I qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2021... I now just have to be accepted when registration opens again next year.

It feels weird to say this, but I have two days "off" starting tomorrow. Actually, I have surgery tomorrow. It's nothing serious, only a small procedure. Even so, I will be off my feet for 2-4 days. We'll see how it goes. I hope to get a lot of work/preparation done during the next few days.

Even though this is usually my favourite time to see everything blossoming in stores, I won't be able to go anywhere now until after Halloween. It's a real disappointment, but that's how it goes this year.

I hope you all had a wonderful 'Pines Day. I'll do my best to visit tomorrow although I likely will be heavily sedated.

Happy Thursday everybody! I can't believe that in just two short months it will be Christmas Eve!!! So today is Rudolph Day-Eve, or for my friends at other online places, "Mini Christmas Eve". My wife is actually cooking a mini-version of what she plans to be our Thanksgiving dinner this weekend as a test of sorts, she is salt-water brining an entire turkey and we've never tried it this way, so we are doing it as a test before we actually have to do it on Thanksgiving "For real".

And on Sunday, i am actually going to finally be pulling the tubs and boxes of outside lights and decorations down, as the plan is on 10/31 to hang everything up so that night after Halloween is over, i can turn on everything and be ready :)

Oh and one last little thing i'll share - my wife's sister has been bugging her family to put up their CHRISTMAS TREE on Friday of this week since it's the 25th. They usually won't put the tree up until well after Thanksgiving, but she complained a few nights ago that she doesn't get enough time to "enjoy" the tree. My mother in law is out of town, so she may just come back to quite the surprise in their great room!
