So good to see you Holiday. Keeping you in my thoughts, sending hugs your way xo
Thanks HMG!! Sure miss hanging with all my Christmas friends every day!!! Hope all is well with you!!

A cousin of mine, fixed up a tote haven for a stray cat that has been visiting. She won't take it in because she already has two cats and a dog and this one seems feral so she just made a comfy cave for him on the porch.

That was sweet of her!

I actually brought Lucy in and had a bed made up for her in the utility room, but she went to the door, rose up on two paws, and started banging on it to go out. She absolutely loves being outside!

I miss you guys !

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It's still cold and overcast, but I have a Mulled Cider candle in a glass jar in front of my little space heater, and it smells like Fall in here, so I'm happy!

I took Elizabeth's car to a local body shop to get her front-end aligned. They quoted $79.99, and I agreed. At 4:30 pm I called them to find out when it would be ready. That's when they started trying to sell me new shocks and tires. No thank you. But they absolutely had to have two replacement bolts at $12 apiece. Ok, $104 will work, I guess. No sir, actually it will be $195 with tax and $75 labor to screw the two bolts in.:mad: I told them I'd come get the car, but it was in pieces in their shop, and couldn't be re-assembled without those two bolts.

They had me.

I hope y'all have a better day than I'm having! :D

Sounds a bit familiar, but I knew when I took my car in the last time that there was more than one problem.

I'm looking at over $1,000.00 for everything they're doing this time around. Still better than needing a new car and I wouldn't know how to do any of repairs on my own.

My guys wouldn't charge me for the two bolts. And they check in whenever something else pops out and the quote the give me includes everything.

I was sharing with a friend of mine who lost a few family members lately and a former work chum who lost his wife last Spring, that I find it better to continue to say their names the same way we always did. If we treat them like the ghost in the room, the relationship seems odd and the memories might be held in secret. Say here name out loud and continue to share pics and memories; that's how our loved ones remain with us after they're gone.

Thinking of you.

The across the creek neighbours have a small set of lights around what I'm guessing is the kitchen window. And the blue lights on the banister to the lower level of the snow covered lawn. More to come in the next few weeks, I'm sure.

It's dark so early that I can appreciate their glow a little longer than if it didn't get dark until after 8:00 or 9:00 like it is in the late spring and summer months.

The cinnamon evergreen diffuser I picked up at HomeSense to add to my pedestal display is permeating the whole place. My husband always said he thought I was a bear in a former life the way my nose picks things up more than the average human.

It smells nice, but I'm kind of tasting it on the back of my tongue which isn't very merry.

Still, the scent is Christmassy.

Keep a merry scent in your nose - haha :shakeit

Good Second Season Day Mor....er....Afternoon, Travelers!

Been enjoying yourselves? Listening to Christmas music, watching holiday movies, maybe dropping by the 'Pines, perhaps doing a little shopping?
Whatever it is, I'll bet you're doing it with a lighter step and with a bigger smile on your face than usual.

But the excitement, continues:
Days to Thanksgiving: 14 (Two weeks from TODAY!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Now UNDER Six weeks!)

And our last Milestone Marker, the 90 percent, Home Stretch point to Christmas Day?
Well that's now only FOUR days off. Barely over HALF a week!

Nasty little cold spell we are having. Thank goodness the rain stopped before we dropped below freezing, or the roads would have been treacherous.
We were at 27 to start the day, but should reach a high in the upper 40's this afternoon. Rain tonight, but our low is predicted to remain above the freezing mark.

Have a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
And keep enjoying Christmas Season 2019!
Thanks Crown! Happy Two Weeks Till Thanksgiving!

Thanks! We're getting groceries tomorrow after work. I'll look for them. :)

Thanks for the reminder! We’re having Thanksgiving at my house on Sunday and are going shopping tomorrow. I’ll have to search for them tomorrow as well.
