Wow, look at this. Over 12 hours without a post.
Where is everybody?

83 days to the Season.
125 days to Christmas Day.

Some light rain last night lowered the temperature from the 105 degree all-time record we set yesterday afternoon.
A "cool" 97 is predicted for today with possible showers.
We still need lots of rain to cut this drought.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and Happy Hump Day, all.

Bing is no doubt enjoying some Japanese coffee about now.....
and wondering whether or not I'm awake.

Good Morning...where is my java? Whew, there it is...must inhale. (right Renn?)

Crown, it has rained all week here!! Also, the three H's...making it a VERY hairy jungle. I see bamboo where there once was a dead lawn...more rain predicted.

Goodmorning Everyone.

I'm RDO today. (Regular day off) I'm so far behind on my work list, I'm not sure where to begin. So, I'll begin by pouring a big cup of coffee and see where we go from here. I thought I was going to be cutting the grass today, but it rained again last night. We also are predicting rain everyday up to Saturday. The lawn is getting mighty tall back there. I'm thinking that at the rate things are growing, I may have to run the snowblower to cut the grass. Rivers and streams in the out lying areas are getting really high. If it getts much higher some of our northern suburbs my be in trouble.

Snow might be better. At least it doesn't melt all at once and flood everything. And it looks nice too.

Coffee's ready. Refills anyone???

Later !

It's been dry as dust around Raleigh for the last week other than for the brief rain we had early yesterday evening.
The grass looks about ready to spontaneously combust!

The year is just going by so fast. I can't believe in only 5 days it will be back to school for me.

Of course, I haven't got any presents or ANYTHING for this year yet. One ornament for my cousin. That's the extent, and I got it in the very beginning of the year at the After-Christmas sales.

Well, to be honest, I do this pretty much every year. I love Christmas, but procrastinate anyway. I like shopping in-season!

Good luck on your first day, Sarah.
I well remember those days!

82 days to the Season.
124 days to Christmas Day.

Heavy rain about 6:00 this morning but it was gone by the time I started out for work.
It's "only" suppose to get to 90 degrees today.
That actually DOES sound cool after our 100+ figures.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, folks!

And enjoy your Japanese Java, Binger, wherever you are!

GOOOOOOD MORNING Nutters.....

Rain, rain...go away. please. Hairy jungle out there. Grass has come back with vengeance.

Hi Sarah. I'm with you, I like shopping in the season too. It's all part of the excitement!

Radio, dig those lyrics.

Wake up, Crown and smell the....coffee flavored tea..! Have a groovy day everyone.

Good Moring Everyone !

More rain last night. More rain (maybe) for tonight. Does anyone remember the story about the Rain Maker? Or at least the song by the 5th dimension (I have it playing in the bacground as we speak. It's all about the sound track, right Jon?). Maybe we should pay the rainmaker and then the rain here will stop here. Maybe the rainmaker will head east. Enough of that. Now I'll switch to a nice Christmas song . . . . . . . Ahhhh, much better.

I put on the coffee just before I turned on the computer. Dark columbian roast. The aroma is so strong that I'll bet Binger can smell it on his trip (I have a big fan blowing it his direction). The coffee maker should be beeping any time now. All the fixin's are ready, the kettle is on the stove.

Thursday ??? Monday for me. Back to work. My next day off is next Thursday. The good part is that I'll have most of December off (Ooooooowhooooooo !!!) I can hardly wait

Sarah - Enjoy your "school time". It will be gone soon enough. I still remember going to high school in the late sixties. Wow, what a blast ! (At my age, it's one of the few things I remember . . . . I think I remember.)

Coffee's up !

Song for Today: Philharmonic - Handbells - 12 - Here We Come a Wassailing

Good Morning Everyone!!! I've got my coffee in hand and ready to tackle a new day!!!!. I will start my non-traditional doctor of pharmacy program in 4 days! Well, I 'd better fill some prescriptions. Have a great day everyone! Merry Chirstmas!

Oh Iron Eagle, I remember those handbells. We had a Christmas pageant when I was in 4th grade (I think) and we each had our own different colored bell to ring at a certain time. Funny what you remember the most...I recall being disappointed that I got stuck with a yellow bell...I really wanted a red one! The ol' chronic dissatisfaction, even at that young age...

Forget the fan. They could smell it in outer space.

I think Bing forgot that I'm not the morning poster so I'm sorry Crown that I haven't been waking you up the past couple days but I've been at work. lol Guess I could wake you up now but you might not be to happy about that. Coffee anyone, one last cup before it gets to late. mmmmmmmm
Don't need the fan here to blow the smell to Bing, our wind has picked up and is doing the job nicely.
Our rain only lasted one day but it was nice while it lasted. We have had a few cloudy days that has kept it cooler, I really like that. Hot weather is for the birds or should I say the bees.

That's all right, Renn. Somehow I made it up on my own.
I dreamed of Bing on a pool float in a lake of Asian coffee in total bliss. (Wait, that's probably not a dream!)

81 days to the Season.
123 days to Christmas Day.

I tell you, this heat is getting old fast. The prediction is upper 90's for the weekend, possibly to triple-digit range again.
My, fall will seem nice!

Well, it's FRIDAY again! Have a Fabulous one.
......and a Wonderful Weekend, too!
Keep the spirit of Christmas with you whereever you go.

89 days until the lights come on!

Good Morning all !

Trees are down, power outages, water out in some areas. Wow did we get some weather here. Amazing what a little (50mph) wind will do. Grandma Eagle (my Mom) is staying with us, due to no power or water at her house.

Gotta fly, talk to you all later.

Hope things get better for you very soon Iron. Those winds can really do damage.

:)) "Owl" bet Binge is dreaming up some new Christmas "blends" to try. Wasn't Carl with Der Binger in the lab not long ago trying to invent some new coffees???????

Think Christmas thoughts and enjoy your weekend everyone.

Actually, Sparkling, he was in his lab here and worked out a coffee-persimmon blend which was shipped to Binger.
Never got a follow-up comment from them but I can only assumed they liked it since they like all coffees of any kind.

80 days to the Season.
122 days to Christmas Day. (4 months from today!)
Look at that. 2/3 of the way to Christmas Day! WOW!

Iron, I well remember Hurricane Fran that struck Raleigh back in September of 1996. Trees down everywhere. Many roads impassable. Folks without power for over a week in some cases. And it was barely a CAT 1 when it came through.

Well, the heat seems content to set up semi-permanent resident status here. It was 99 yesterday and is supposed to reach an even 100 today. Humid too, of course.

Have a Stupendous Saturday, guys.
Whatever the weather, you'll weather it better, if you keep that Christmas song in your heart!
