Good Morning!
(Tried to get on about an hour ago but got a message that the site was closed for maintenance.)

4 days to the Season. (WOW!!)
46 days to Christmas Day.
Can't wait for Binger's special post.
Hope it's up before we leave this afternoon.

Miller4: Our special 4-3-2-1 day posts before the Nov 13 Season arrival are just our special thoughts prior to the arrival of our Christmas Season. We have been doing that for several years now, although for the first time on this site. (The previous two, Christmas.Com and The Christmas Place, closed.)
Of course, anyone can post their thoughts and feelings as we enter the Season we have waited so long for.
We have just traditionally pinpointed the 4 days prior to the official Season arrival for special posts.

A tad warmer for the commute this morning, with the temp at 38. Looks like a good weekend is in store for our trip to the coast, with the highs in the 60's with lots of sun.

Have a Fabulous Friday and a Wonderous Weekend, everyone!
See you Sunday night with my day 2 pre-season post!

Thank you Crown! I'm looking forward to all the posts!

:busy:

we won our bid for the 2014 commonwealth games woohoooo
today was fun as half the school went to watch
so i had time to put the xmas decorations up including the tree its soooooo funny watching all the scrooge folk moaning that its too early ho ho ho

Well, I was hoping to see Binger's special Day 4 post before we left for the coast but it's not here yet and we are just about to leave. Will have to wait until my return Sunday evening to read it.
(But, I'm sure it will be worth the wait!)

Have a great weekend, everyone!

When I was young, my mother would always say to me.. " Don't forget why you're here.." It was a reminder to " do the right thing... which was to help people- to manke the world a better place" The holidays appear to me to be the time that people suddenly remember 'why they're here.."- Charity- helping the neighbor- making your home more inviting- and giving. In a world that is more and more corrupt- and dysfunctional in so many levels, there still exists this small corner of cyberspace, where year long, we all meet and even at times find ourselves scrambling from site to site to continue a commitment that we made years ago with each other. We watch as for a small period of time, people stop-and take in a wonderment that we celebrate year long. That's why I continue to come here- and celebrate.. it's because my mother still whispers to me " Don't forget why you're here.."

and so it has come to this.....

day four until the season begins...

Sorry I missed you Crown- have a good weekend....

sleep!

Much Love Everyone-

Binger!

We gather at this site day in and day out counting down the days till our beloved season begins. Our leader, Crown, guides us through the many months, weeks and now days until we welcome the Christmas season with full hearts, hand in hand.

We belong here. Look forward to seeing what our friends have been up to. Looking forward to the chuckle that we might get, feeling as if we are amongst our friends. We are amongst friends. Cyber friends who have stuck together for years, chasing each other through cyberspace so that our community does not splinter. And we are a community. Each of us supporting and loving the other. It has always been my distinct pleasure to be part of this group. We've grown to truly love one another...And none of us has even met in person. Just goes to show you the power of honesty. The power of Christmas, the power of those who keep the spirit in their hearts year round.

And so my friends, help me welcome day three of the countdown! Three days until our season comes round again. Thanks for being here! It is one of my great pleasures in life to be part of this fine group! Merry Christmas!

~Deck The Halls!!~It's THE Special Countdown Week-end!

Do you think it rude to drink the gravy right from the boat???

 Reminds me of the time - many Thanksgiving Moons ago, when my cousin's youngest and I upset the gravy boat (playing at the table) and I thought all was lost - not so - the Thanksgiving vultures swarmed in with bread and sopped up all the gravy from the table so none was wasted. Thank goodness nothing landed on the floor - yet I don't think that would have stopped them - my jaw was on the floor - I was shocked, but my facial reaction didn't go un-observed, the oldest cousin shouted, "but that was Grandma's gravy recipe -the best going - it can't be wasted."

:???: Something tells me if you were enjoying Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner and my relatives were around, you could drink out of the gravy boat and nobody would think ill of you - well they'd be a little irate if you didn't leave any for them, I suppose.
