A Stupendous Saturday morning to one and all!
Last Saturday before the Big Day.

SEASON DAY 40
Days to Christmas Day: 3 (No typo - it's true - that number is a three! Almost there, guys!)

Forty-Four in Raleigh at this hour with overcast skies.
(Snow?? Nah! The weather service says no chance.
Of course, they have been wrong before......)

Hey! Who will be here as the minutes wind down on Christmas Eve? I'll certainly try to show up "in real time", if family obligations allow. Hope to see you then!

Have a Wonderous Weekend, everybody!

Good Afternoon Christmas Pals!

WOW! So close...so close. I will definitely try to be here on Christmas Eve with you Crownster. I love Christmas Eve day more than 'THE' day itself...it holds more magic, especially in the late day into evening when the candles get lit, the fire is stoked, the roast is in the oven, some "Cheer" poured into glasses...and if it is snowing...Oh if it snows on Christmas Eve...it's perfection.

Right now, listening to The Lansing Symphony Holiday Pops on PBS. Doing a Leroy Anderson medley.

Hey Cedar!!!!! Merry Last Saturday Before Christmas!!! I tackled the worst of grocery shopping at 8am this morning while there was still food on the shelves and people were still pleasant!!!

I have everything crossable crossed for your white Christmas eve. We're not going to get one so you can have mine. Please tell it all about me and send pictures!!

Have a good and stressfree weekend guys!!!!

Binger - I'll work on plaid bells - won't be as simple as Latvia........!!

Hi Maureen! ~I think I heard a rumor that it definitely WILL snow on Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day. But before that, the snow we've had for awhile has to turn into mud...it's raining now..46 degrees. Ohh, muddy paws...so much fun!

merry christmas eve eve xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Everone Hope You Are All Ok Its Under 2 Days Now And Im So Excited I Just Cant Wait Merry Christmas All

~I think I heard a rumor that it definitely WILL snow on Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day.
That would be great, Cedar! And if it occurs, you must snap a photo for the Christmas Photos 2007 thread!
I also know how you feel about Christmas Eve.
We anticipate Christmas Day but realize that that it is also the end.
That factor is another reason why I devised the idea of the Season count - the "Season" has depth and is not over in just one day.

And speaking of that:
SEASON DAY 41
Days to Christmas Day: 2 (Fantastic!, Fantastic!)

Warmer here this morning, with the temp over here at my father's place (where we have gathered for Christmas) standing at 53. Another good raking day. (The leaves keep falling around here until early January!)

Well, have a Super last Sunday before Christmas and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I can't believe an entire Saturday slipped by without a visit to any of my festive hang-outs.

Good news though, I'm finished my shopping and everything is wrapped up and ready to be opened.

I still have two rolls of Scotch tape left if anyone needs to borrow any and I also have three rolls of gift wrap, some tissue paper and gift tags too.

:-) I don't know what time I'll be around on Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning, but I'll be knocking on the Chat room door a few times. If my plans work out, I'll be home in time to greet midnight and see if Santa is heading my way.

It's raining today, but we're expecting snow later tonight (snow squalls) and fluffy snow tomorrow afternoon.

I'll be lighting the luminaries with my dad, brother and neighbours around 5:30 tomorrow night. I hope my night digital photography works out so I can show you how beautiful the street is.

My dad and my brother will help me if the "fireworks" feature isn't the best choice for taking pictures I have several others to choose from.

Festive Cheers,
Auntie M.

I will try- but rarely get home before midnight- I think I checked in at 2:00AM Christmas Am last year... Crown- I agree- it isthe build up that I enjoy- I think I almost enjoy that night we count down to the season more so than the " big day itself.." . I also love coffee.. were you all aware of that?

Man- snow on Christmas Eve... thatw ould be awesome.. we have 70 degrees here right now..." I'm dreaming of a beach day Christmas...."s speaking of dreaming.. bet Crown is doing that right now......

OMG! What a TREAT!!!
HI LIGHT! How are you? So Great to hear from you!!!!! ~Merry, Merry Christmas!!!!!

I received a nice card from Sparkling Star and she said she might stop in to say "Hi" to her old friends also!! Hope So!

EXTREMELY Windy outside and it is artic bitter cold. The horses are crazed, running around nipping and chasing each other..manes and tails flying!

Gotta go shopping...one LAST time, but this time it's for the horses. They always get fresh shavings a new salt block and some kind of alfafa/apple treat. The "girls" (my hens) get fancier scatch than usual and fresh shavings plus bananas and oatmeal...they love that.

Talk to ya later alligators. Nutters. Christmas Angels. Ok ok, I'm outta here. YABBA YABBA YABBA......

Thank-you to everyone that has sent me a card this year! I hope you got mine.
Merry christmas everyone woo-hoo!! :hi:

Chat & Listen Parties!

Merry Christmas everyone!

The good thing about being in the middle of my work week during Christmas is that I will be able to be here and in the chat room Christmas Eve and Christmas Day evening! Due to the nature of my work, I may have to duck out and come back at times. Idiots and thugs are never able to get by without "assistance" from public safety agencies, even during Christmas. Sad, but true.

During the regularly scheduled chat tonight (12/23/2007), join me in listening to The Bone Conduction Music Show - Christmas Extravaganza between 7:00 - 11:00 pm, ET. Remember the listening/chat parties when host Thayrone gave us shout outs & Lovely Linda would join us in the chat room? They even played Christmas music for us all during the year! Thayrone still wonders were we all went.

BCMS - http://www.thayrone.com/ Follow the listen links. Also choose the two hour Christmas show archive for a warm up to tonight's four hour show!

Chat - http://www.christmaschatter.com/ When logging into the chat, boxes will ask you for your name and a password. Most of us use our forum screen name as a courtesy. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but a password isn't necessary. I never use a password and always get in.

Now, for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day I'll be in chat off and on between 4:00 pm & midnight, Eastern. I'll also have Jon Solomon's twenty-four hour Christmas Marathon Show playing - http://www.wprb.com/ Click on the listen now link. Jon takes requests by e-mail and by phone and keeps a running playlist (no repeats) online. I know that members from FaLaLaLaLa.com will be interacting with Jon. Let's see if we can get him to mention the MMC Network as well!

From the website:

20th Annual 24-Hour Xmas show!
Jon Solomon is at the controls this Monday, December 24th starting at 6:00 pm ET until December 25th at 6:00 pm ET for the 20th annual edition of his 24-Hour Holiday Radio Show. Have a request or a submission you would like to make? Send Jon an email.

Also check Jon's web site - http://www.keepingscoreathome.com/

Hope to see all of you there!
