I like yellow marigolds. They're summer flowers but they're pretty and easy to grow.
There used to be a fantastic garden center around here but, unfortunately, it closed. They had great stuff. I used to pick up these yellow marigolds that were really tall. Then I'd get some red salvias that were really tall too. I'd line the driveway with them. It looked great.
The one negative about marigolds is that the earwigs would eat them. Sometimes really bad too.
