Could this week get any better in terms of milestones? Tomorrow is going to be awesome hitting that 100 day mark.

It's time for the Seasonal Candy of the Week! Today's selection is new this year (I think), and while they don't specifically look the part of a Valentine's candy I can see the marketing spin on these. It's Dove Promises: Truth or Dare - Midnight Fudge Cookie!

I was able to snag a bag of these recently and can vouch for their yumminess. If you like your chocolate on the dark side, you'll find plenty to like here. I feel like these would have been awesome to have out for New Year's since "Midnight Fudge" just screams that association, but what do I know? I don't work in marketing.

I hope they bring back this flavor with a decidedly Halloween spin later this year.
Okay, considering this is a Halloween feed--would anyone DARE admit they don't like their candy on the dark side. I know I wouldn't. Heh, heh, heh.

Morning Halloween Fans! Just looking around to see if I can find a pumpkin anywhere located at this point. Just to give me a little small jolt of October. That feeling you can't replicate any other month of the year. Have a great day!

DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 100
DAYS TO JOL DAY #1: 11

Good Morning and HAPPY MILESTONE DAY! Just like that, we are at 100 DAYS UNTIL HALFOWEEN. The reaching of Halfoween is not only significant for us Halloween fans, but I also do believe that it will coincide roughly with the beginning of "Christmas Hunting" at Hobby Lobby that so many of us participate in. And like I've said a million times, the Spring is really a time when I really feel that yearning for Christmas and the Bers. October is such an important part of that!

Remember, our fun this week isn't over yet, we still get to ring in 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER on Saturday! A mere 3 days away!

I hope everyone enjoys this milestone day, I know I sure will!

HAPPY 100 DAY MILESTONE! To be honest, I had forgotten it was today (despite just being in this thread yesterday; I guess a stressful work week will do that to you), but it feels oh so great to see a count finally hit 100 days this early in the year! And seeing it break into double digits tomorrow, just glorious.

Wait...that means I only have 99 days left to plan for Halfoween. Geez, I need to sit down this weekend and get to work....

DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 253
DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 99
DAYS TO JOL DAY #1: 10

Happy Thursday! Or as we like to call it in my office, "Mini-Friday". I can tell you what, this weekend is going to be awesome, as it delivers not only NFL Football, which is always a staple of October, but Sunday is the 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST milestone, as well as Rudolph Day #1 Eve, Monday is Rudolph Day, Thursday is TOM TURKEY DAY, and Finally we finish up the month next Sunday with Jack O Lantern Day #1! What a thrilling conclusion to the end of the month! All of our special days in a row!

It's something to look at that count this morning and see us under 100 days now to Halfoween. Under 100 days to being at the halfway point. Just seems incredible. And today as I write this, we are 58 days from Spring. Not even two whole months.

Have a great Thursday, folks!

Woot! Woot! Double digits!!!
99

99! Double digits! And we're not even done with January yet! That's an awesome perk of the "bonus months" during the Bers. Just knowing that we have something huge to celebrate (aside from all of our special days) in just a little over three months is a relief and will keep me going as we start dragging through April and May. And then there's Christmas hunting at Hobby Lobby to do!

Morning Halloween Fans! Who's feeling spooky this morning? I am. I hope you all are too. It's great to keep in the Halloween spirit all year long. That's what we do here. Have a great day!

DAYS TO JOL DAY #1: 9

Happy Friday! We made it! And now another weekend is ahead of us.

Wow, those counts are really something today, no? TWO day away from the 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST milestone. Sunday! And now just NINE days away from Jack O Lantern Day #1 and the ONE-QUARTER point to Halloween!

We are watching a snow event for Monday, which would be fantastic for not only Rudolph Day #1, but Monday will be the "last" day for the Christmas tree here in the great room, so I can't think of a better way for it to hibernate for the next 9 months than following an awesome snow storm!

Have a great Friday, folks!

Amazing, amazing counts. The 98 until Halfoween is exciting, but I'm equally excited by the upcoming 250 milestone. Seems like here lately we've hit a new milestone every week across the Bers, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas counts. I love that. I don't think we'll have to worry about a month where there are no milestones. If there is a month like that, then don't tell me...I don't want to know.

Great Peanuts reference there! :p
Haha! I drop a lot of Peanuts references often without even realizing it. I dropped another line from the Great Pumpkin special in either the Daily Holiday Hangout or The Bers thread a few days ago...can't remember which one.

One day I'll write a post here about my obsession with Peanuts. The TV specials and their music have been an essential part of my holiday tradition for years, and I've gone as far as to chart out what specials to watch and what soundtracks to listen to during "the offseason." They helped get me through a particularly rough year back in 2018. Now I've started to collect Schulz's complete works and plan to read through the entire series at some point.

Morning Halloween Fans! Hope you're all doing well. Have any of you read any spooky books that you would recommend? Halloween themed? Or played some Halloween themed games? Just curious. Asking for a "friend"...ok for me. Have a great day!

DAYS TO JOL DAY #1: 8

Good Morning and Happy Saturday! Friends, TOMORROW, we will reach the 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone! Just amazing. This whole weekend will be amazing. Tomorrow is a milestone day, as well as being Rudolph Day Eve. Then we've got Rudolph Day #1 on Monday, Tom Turkey Day on Thursday, and then Jack O Lantern Day next Sunday! The Bers in reverse, but I won't complain!

And since we are just about a week out now from JOL Day, I am going to plug something else that for whatever reason I did not include during the original announcement after New Year's regarding JOL day.

Let's talk about SOUP WEEK. Now I realize that SOUP WEEK might not have the slightest thing to do with Halloween, but in this family, hearty soups are a staple of Fall and early Winter. So we decided a little while back that SOUP WEEK would lead us into Jack O Lantern Day, and the end of the month. You heard me right, we are going to eat home-made soup every night this week beginning on Monday through Sunday. That sounds crazy but I think it is awesome. Brave souls out there can join me, you don't have to do a whole week if you don't want to, throw a soup on here or there before the 31st, or heck, do it on the 31st!

We will recap again next week, probably on Monday, but here is what I have going on for Jack O Lantern Day on Sunday:

SOUP WEEK - January 25th - 31st
"DARK ARTS SUNDAY", JANUARY 31st:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Apple Cider for refreshment
Pumpkin Candle / Wax Warmer to set the mood
Small Halloween Tree & Electric Jack O Lantern
Halloween Itunes Playlist

Have a great Saturday folks! Trash duty calls!

Soup week sounds amazing. At our house, in winter, Monday is typically soup day and in summer Monday is salad day. But this coming week, I think I will joy you.

On a cloudy cold day (I am going to stretch it and say with the wind howling the way it is, it is eerie), I think we can use a really lame Halloween joke:

What do you call two witches who live together? Broommates.

I love the Peanuts TV specials too, and looked forward to watching them on broadcast television. I was very disappointed with them only being available on PBS and Apple TV this year, I keep the old VHS tapes but aren't enjoyable to watch anymore or I don't have the right cords to connect the VCR. I think its great that you make a plan to watch them all and I am glad that they helped you through a hard time. Whenever I watch them I find something inspirational, and I am sure reading his complete works will be the same.

I love your plans to celebrate Jack O Lantern Day! Thank you for sharing, I needed the reminder to make sure I have my own celebration planned and to make sure I have all of the ingredients for my Pumpkin Muffins! Are you going to spread the Harry Potter films out over multiple Jack O Lantern days?
