Halloween 2021 Countdown!

Morning Halloween Fans! It's a spooky morning out. It's rainy and chilly. Feels like Autumn and Halloween for sure. Makes me think back to those amazing October days, in a way except it's a little chillier now and also more leaves are on the ground instead of on the trees. Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Fans! I have to agree with Edge with last night being a very October-like night. We had hard rain showers off and on, and seeing the shadows dance on the wall from the trees blowing in the wind with the street light shining through, gave me a very Halloween-feeling vibe.
But today is a new day and we have a new set of numbers to take in. First of all, "Days to Halloween" is now at 330 days, and so I feel like we are now on the doorstep of that count reaching the mighty 300 days milestone. Under 300 days now on the October 1st count, and "Days to Halfoween" continues to march on. What a difference indeed, that a few weeks will make on those counts.
And now I am off for my Saturday morning routine - the Landfill. The landfill was closed for 3 days on the week of Thanksgiving, Wednesday, Thanksgiving Day, and Friday! So I have a HUGE garbage load to take this morning! Have a great day!

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! We march on in our 3 countdowns! Today is supposed to be slightly warmer than yesterday, in the 40's, but it will be Sunny and not windy like yesterday. Today is what I am sure will be my final leaf clean up day, everything is out of the trees now, so only what is left on the ground, which isn't very much. The final day of leaf duty always makes me a little sad. While I am cleaning up leaves, that spirit of Fall & Halloween always seems to be present, the sight of leaves on the ground always takes me back to that special time when they start turning and falling. So yeah, after today, it will be a little bit of a slog before I get to the next set of Halloween "feels". I'm anticipating that this will be our first Jack O Lantern Day of 2021, unless something organically pops up before then randomly, to remind me of those special October days!

Man, I'm eyeing that "Days Until Halloween" count. 329 seems like a daunting number, and undoubtedly it will be a long trek from here, but I love that very soon we will break into the 200s. By the time that Christmas and New Year's are over, that will be the very thing I need to put a shot in my arm.
And you can always find a Halloweenish movie to get a fix.
Morning Halloween Fans! We saw Christmas lights out last night walking around. Get this though because this guy walking his dog saw the 7 of us walking at night he said "Hey is it Halloween again?" We laughed. And then he went on to say he loves Halloween (and we said so did we). Shout out to Halloween in December from the general public! Have a great day!

Good Morning! We've entered once again a new week of countdowns. And this week is not going to disappoint, folks! Days to Halloween count will enter the 130's on Saturday (!!!).
Boy, I'm ready to have a great Christmas, and finally turn the page on this awful year. I look forward to January when we are counting down to everything at the same time all again. And I think 2021 will be a lot different too, I think things will be a lot more of what we are used to!

Right there with ya. I am excited about Christmas for sure, but the closer we get, the more I just want 2020 to end. I have a crazy excitement for New Year's Eve this year like never before. If we didn't have multiple countdowns going already I'd start a New Year's Eve countdown thread.
You know, now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever seen a New Year's Eve / New Year's Day countdown thread on here. It might be out there somewhere, but I have missed it. It would be fun, but so many threads to keep up too lol. We have the main Christmas one, Thanksgiving, Halloween, The Bers. Wowsers! Have to be honest, i can't ever think of myself clamoring for New Year's Day like I do all the other ones.
Yeah, I think a New Year's thread would be one too many, not to mention the count is not that far off from Christmas. I think we finally found where the line is drawn at MMC.

Good Morning to all! This week is going by pretty slowly. I have to be honest, I have a lot of anxiety surrounding the FDA meeting on Thursday, and specifically whether or not they will authorize the vaccines for use in the USA this month.
But I am trying to not let it get to me. I am instead trying to focus on our rapidly approaching Christmas day, and just keep the main message of Christmas in the back of my mind ; "HOPE".
I wish I had more to say, but anxiety is beginning to get to me. I am glad this website exists, seeing all of the posts about everything under the sun cheers me up. Have a Happy Tuesday!

Okay, so Halloween thought for the day--maybe help with all that anxiety to focus on something else but what is something you experience during the Christmas holiday that screams HALLOWEEN to you? To me, it is all the mini-candy bars that come out in assortment bags just like at Halloween.
Great topic! Here's my take: Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol." It's the perfect bridge between Halloween and Christmas. Yes, it is more Christmas than Halloween, but where else are you going to see ghosts this month? The ghost of Christmas future is particularly creepy, and the whole story of what happened to Marley would make a great Halloween prequel.
Also, the Grinch. There is a little known Dr. Seuss animated special titled "Halloween is Grinch Night" that serves as kind of a prequel to "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." It wasn't as popular, of course, but it's interesting that the Grinch has a foothold in both holidays.
