Good Morning Halloween Friends! I think the tone for the week has already been set, with our Fall decorations coming out yesterday, and like Edge mentioning, this is the final Non-Bers week of the entire rest of the YEAR.
What a special time we are really going to be in. Like he said, take it all in, enjoy it. These final 4 months of the year is really what we strive for all year long.
Single digits in both our "Bers" and "JOL Day" count. And today the Days to October 1st have now dipped down into the 30's! Amazing.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! With the arrival of today, it is now only ONE WEEK until Jack O Lantern Day, which is an important one, because it is the FINAL JOL Day of the 2021 season! Almost sad in a way, but not really, because just like Rudolph Day keeps the spirit of Christmas alive all year, JOL Day does the same thing with Halloween, and it led us through the longest, darkest part of January, and will now see us delivered HOME safe and sound to The Bers. So it is going to be a special celebration.
First, the house and grounds are totally decorated now for Fall. We've got the plastic pumpkins in the mulch bed, the electric Jack O Lantern is in our great room, and the big giant laughing pumpkin from Costco is out, but none are illuminated, yet. Our ceramic Halloween tree is standing watch, but it has not been lit up either. I'm waiting to turn all of these on until next Tuesday. The lighting of those will signify that the Bers really are back. And they will light the way forward through the entire BERS. And when Michael shows up on our TV, it will drive that point home even further!

Oh [bleep], I forgot about "The Ring." One of the few scary movies I actually saw. I keep a healthy distance from wells now.
This brought up a funny and semi-related memory: When "The Grudge" first came out, one of my favorite things to do was to sneak up on my wife and make the creepy throat noise (if you've seen the movie then you know the noise I'm referring to). It was funny but also dangerous and earned me many bruises.
Yep, know exactly what you are talking about. My poor wife has been tortured by that sound by me over the years. She hates it. I don't make the noise anymore because it scares her and makes her mad!

I look at these daily counts, and sometimes it doesn't seem like it's really possible that everything is now getting this close. We're under a week now until we get back home, home to The Bers. And the very last JOL Day of the 2021 countdown season is just in 5 days. The countdowns are going to look kind of lonely with only the Days to October, and Days to Halloween count.
My wife and I are big fans of the seasonal fragrances at Bath & Body works. They had an awesome lineup of Halloween stuff this year. I had to order the "Haunted conservatory" wallflower projector online, because they didn't have any in stock in the store anymore. Now they are completely out of stock on line. I'm lucky I got mine before they ran totally out. It should arrive today!

My favorite Halloween scent that they have right now is called "Vampire Blood"! I have two little bottles of it for the wallflower, I'm going to go back and get some more this weekend. I'm going to try and put away / hoard some little bottles of the vampire blood, and the other awesome fall scents they have, so that I can have it as part of my JOL Day routine. JOL Day keeps getting bigger and better!
