DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 325
DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 293
DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 141

Good Morning! We are right on the cusp now of seeing two of our counts enter into a fresh set of digits! Our "Days to Halfoween" count will break into the 130's on SATURDAY, followed by "Days to October 1st" making it into the 280's on Monday! That's not much right now, but I do find peace in seeing the numbers slowly trickle down. They are always counting, even if we feel like we notice no change. Can you tell I am ready for the new year? Ha

Good morning, Halloween friends! Just wanted to drop in before work starts. I've got tomorrow off so today will be a busy day.

Snake, thanks for the picture of the Bers sunrise yesterday. That is a beautiful picture and one I'll probably use for my desktop wallpaper when I begin missing the Bers in January.

You are so welcome! I should just put that out here, ANYBODY who wants to keep my pictures or anything to use, no problem! I just really love taking pictures of those sunrises. Sunsets are more rare for me, because of where I am situated, but when one jumps out at me, like the other night when the clouds were pink, I will always try and share when I can!

Morning Halloween Fans! It's been a fun ride so far in this thread. I'm looking forward to continuing here yes even through the Christmas Season we are currently in. After all, we have Halloween for bringing us this time of year! Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We are right at the cusp now of entering into the 130's on our "Days to Halfoween" count! I was thinking about this just yesterday, 140 days seems so far off, but with January looming just about two weeks from now, very soon we will see our numbers slashed significantly. These gorgeous sunrises have been making me long for Fall again, and it is a very, very good feeling! I'm even imagining the mindset on our first Jack O Lantern Day of 2021, where we realize that "Half Way" is then a mere 3 months off.

I hope that everyone has a great Friday. We are supposed to have some really nice weather the next couple of days, nearly 60 each day!

In the Daily Holiday Hangout thread I said that no other holiday feels "magical" like Christmas. And it's true. But Halloween has a magical feeling all of its own, very different from Christmas. It's still a good kind of feeling but one that's more steeped in the coziness of Fall. And there's a little bit of mysteriousness with it too.

That's the kind of feeling that I hope the JoL days bring me next year.

I really think they will. And I have to agree, the special magic of Christmas is all unique, and there is nothing else like it. Part of what I love about Fall season is that along with that cozy feeling you mentioned, you can also quite literally feel the magic starting to build as it becomes more and more apparent that we are settling into the best times of the year. I have said for years that Mid-October is about as close to being in a pressure cooker as you can get, because you can feel that magic all around you getting ready to boil over!

Morning Halloween Fans! I was thinking yesterday about how I wish we could almost rewind to October. Everything seemed so fun and spooky back then. Didn't it? It really is amazing how things change during The Bers months as you go through them. Have a great day!

Good Morning - another fabulous weekend ahead of us! Today, our "Days to Halfoween" Count has now entered down into the 130's count! Just amazing.

Folks, just ONE weekend stands in our way (next weekend) before Christmas arrives. I have to say, that this is the "farthest" I've felt from "Halloween time". Not a great feeling. I go through the same thing after Christmas, and I usually feel exactly like this around the end of February - beginning of March. Making it out of March and entering April is like the shot in the arm I need, as I start "Christmas Hunting" in the Hobby Lobby, and I feel rejuvenated.

I'm telling you this on the Halloween thread, because it is my hope, and sort of almost expectation that I will feel that same "jolt" once we get into January and a Jack O Lantern Day nears the horizon, and it is in the back of our minds that "Halfway" is only 3 months away...

Good Morning Halloween Fans! We are getting ready for our first snowstorm here, with the prediction that it actually may be a major one. Hearing anywhere from 9 to 18 inches!! Sort of hard to think of Halloween at all, when the inner kid comes out in me getting excited over a snow storm. Hope you guys all enjoy your Sunday!

Morning Halloween Fans! Still miss the orange and black colors? It's not so bad right now though seeing all those red and green colors. Gotta love how colorful the holidays are. Have a great day!

I like to call the 1/4 marker "Halfway to Halftime" it makes that second three month period almost like a mini celebration. I always feel the halfway mark to any countdown is the most important. Once you get into the second half it's all so doable and downhill!

Morning Halloween Fans! I hope you are all well to start off your week. It feels spooky out this time of year because it's dark out there...but the Christmas lights helps light it up. Have a great day!

Happy Monday! A new week has arrived, and one that will bring winter weather to some parts of the country! A massive Nor'easter is going to wreak havoc on the East Coast on Wednesday. We worked on snow blowers all weekend!

Really hard to think of Halloween at this particular moment, as like I explained, the inner child in me comes out when wishing for snow! I'm hoping to catch a random horror movie or something sporadic here within the next two weeks, to get a little taste of Fall / Halloween again.

My wife made cornbread with dinner last night, and my Dad mentioned that it would be really good with Apple Butter! Apple butter makes me think of Fall and i'll just have to see if the market up the road from me has any! That might be something with Jack O Lantern Day, or on one of the milestone days!

Morning Halloween Fans! I still have leftover Halloween candy FYI. And it still tastes delicious. I have a couple pieces a week usually. Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween friends! Well, I cheated a little bit this morning and sniffed the pumpkin candle, not sure why I did it, but WOW, what a great sensation to just have that millisecond of "smelling Halloween" lol.

Just about all we have left to do today is gas up the snow blower and test out the generator. We are ready for the Nor Easter. Final call here is any where from 15 - 20 inches of snow. That's nothing on our Northern friends who get double that, but around here, that's one of the biggest snows we've had in a long time!

Hope all have a great Tuesday, and stay safe!

Those "Days to Halloween" and "Days to Halfoween" counts are looking pretty great! Less than a month away from a major milestone for the former, and just a little over a month from a major milestone for the latter! January might not be so depressing next year.

Yes indeed, January is going to ring in lots of milestone days:

January 4th: 300 Days to Halloween
January 9th: 350 Days to Christmas
January 20: 100 Days to "HALFOWEEN"
January 22: 250 Days to October 1st!

I can actually thank THE BERS thread for making me realize that I have been approaching "The Count" wrong all these years. It's made me realize that there were constantly things to look forward to, which makes that long slog that is January much more bearable. And it makes January's three special days (Tom Turkey Day, Rudolph Day, Jack O Lantern Day) even more special, and cause for celebration when you reach the end of the month!

Morning Halloween Fans! We are all looking at Christmas but here in this thread the Halloween lovers that we are always keep October in our heart and soul. And really October began everything that we love the most. Have a great day!
