Halloween 2021 Countdown!

Morning Halloween Fans. I am full vaccinated as of this weekend. I went into 3 stores without a mask on. I was in the minority but it felt really good. It's nice to be able not to wear a mask on a Non-Halloween day for once. Some places still require it which is fine. But many don't now. Have a great day!
Everywhere I have went so far, all of the signage about masks are gone / down. It feels amazing to live "normal" again! I think we should enjoy it while it lasts and never take this "freedom" for granted ever again!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Who is ready for MONDAY? I hate to wish the weekend away, but we have so much to look forward to this coming week. First, a big day tomorrow, one of the best days of the year, IMO. And then you have the 3 day weekend for most people. We get all the best stuff this week. Rudolph Day, Tom Turkey Day, Dark Arts Sunday, and then Jack O Lantern Day #3! My goodness what a lineup!!
Hobby Lobby has really gotten going with Fall Stuff! I did finally find my first Christmas item out in the store for sale, it is those clear ornaments that you can paint / decorate / put pictures in, etc. They are always historically the very first thing that goes out for sale. What a long wait it has been! But it feels good to have them back now. Like seeing an old friend again after a long time.
I snagged a few pics of all of the Fall Stuff that is multiplying rapidly. It felt awesome to see it in there, and of course I cheated some and smelled the Fall candles! THE FEELS!

I almost popped in to Hobby Lobby yesterday while I was in town but talked myself out of it. I didn't want to be disappointed again. This gives me hope that during my next visit (after Memorial Day weekend) I'm going to hit the jackpot!
I'm the same way. If there is no sign requiring a mask, I don't wear one. But if they would ask, I would put one on. I'm there to shop, not cause trouble.
We continue to have autumn like weather here. In fact, I was listening to the news while I was getting ready for church this morning and the weather woman actually said we were having October weather. It made me smile. Wonder if she is on MMC and follows this thread. LOL

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today is a day that MANY of us on here has been pining for, for quite a while now. I don't want to give it away, because we have a whole separate thread that is probably going to blow up today, but folks, it is a BIG DAY for those of us who love the last 4 months of the year.
While making the "weeks" counts this morning, something happened to me that hasn't happened since around late last summer. I got THE FEELS just by LOOKING at the counts this morning! I think it is because I am so excited about what today is. Like I said, we have an incredible week / weekend lined up. First there is today, which is a very special Monday, then tomorrow is Rudolph Day, then Dark Arts Sunday, and then finally JOL Day #3 / Memorial Day to close out the month of May and officially send us down the road to THE BERS.
I might make another Hobby Lobby after work today to see if they put out any more Fall stuff! Have a great day friends!

I am considering making a Hobby Lobby run on Friday after work. I wanted to wait until after Memorial Day, and I still might, but the curiosity is eating away at me. Also, HL will be closed on Monday so it's not like I'll be able to go there on my long weekend. Might as well make the early trip!
Nice, even counts today. Can anyone else believe that in just 30 days we'll reach another 100-day marker in this very thread?

Happy Tuesday! And Happy Rudolph Day to everyone! Yesterday, because of the off and on rain showers, we had AMAZING fall weather. The high was only 63 degrees. It really made me miss that time, guys. Especially after how horrible hot it was last weekend. That's how you know you got something special, when you miss it practically ALL THE TIME.
It looks like the weather is going to cooperate again this weekend. This Saturday is supposed to be only 57 degrees, with an overnight low both Saturday and Sunday in the low 40's! I never figured we would get this close to June and still have cold nights, but that means that Dark Arts Sunday is gonna "feel" a lot more authentic. Especially if I get the cherry cider recipe correct this time! We are even gonna have cool weather on Memorial Day / JOL Day, but then it starts getting hot again.
Look at those counts though, I was so excited thinking about the cool weather that I almost forgot them. Just 9 days away now from the 150 Day to Halloween milestone!! That's a big deal folks! Have a great Tuesday!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Post-Rudolph Days are always a time for me to really think for just a minute where we are in the big countdown, timeline wise. I have mentioned before but I really feel that with May's Rudolph Day in the books, we are officially marching into "serious territory" now heading into June.
Heck we already know that to be the case now as we are already going to see ourselves well down the "Final 100" day road trip back to the Bers before this month is even out!
I'm excited for this upcoming long weekend. We have basically from this point a Holiday every other month, and then once a month obviously as October rolls in and its basically non-stop celebrations for 3 months.
