DAYS TO SUMMER SOLSTICE: 3

Good Morning Halloween Friends! What a day we had here yesterday, weather wise. I had to constantly remind myself that it was not actually mid September. It just felt amazing outside. And I yearned for Apple Cider and Pumpkin pie.

The folks at my office too are starting to talk about the 1st day of Summer coming up. I held my tongue, as nobody in there really are Fall lovers like me. But it's gonna be here soon. I looked at the 10 day forecast and again we are being blessed - only one day is "hot", 88 degrees and that is next Monday. We've got a lot of mid 70's, and again some overnights in the low 50's sprinkled in there. So it sure looks like we are going to close out June with mild temperatures.

And that leaves me just to have to face July and probably at least half of August. So even at worst case scenario, that's less than 70 days where it could be hot and humid. Today is going to be another beautiful "Bers Day", and I'm going to enjoy it when I hit the running trail later today. Have a great day, keep a Halloween / Fall thought in your head!

Look at those counts! Only one week until we hit double digits in the October 1st count. And of course the Solstice is this weekend! Whoever decided that the first day of summer should be in late June obviously wasn't from the south. It's been summer here for quite some time now, so to me the Solstice is essentially the first step towards Fall, not summer.

No Seasonal Candy of the Week this week. I've been too busy with work to have time to research. I'll resume with the candy hunting next week.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today is the "last" day of the "Bers weather" for a few days. The weekend looks warm here, but fortunately it gets cool again next week. I know that Summer heat is coming, I'd be foolish to think we could ride these amazing temperatures all the way back through the Bers. But what it has done so far, is put us in a better place, where we don't have as long as a slog to reach September. That's 75 days from now. But I think we will see the weather break around 60 - 65 days from now, just my opinion. It will still be warm, but I think the horrible heat, if it ever gets here, will be ready to start retreating by that third week of August.

I'm looking forward to visiting our Farmer's market this weekend and inquiring about when they expect to have bushels of corn ready for sale. And of course making another Hobby Lobby Run since our good friend @Rich has discovered that his local one has the Christmas Trees out. Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans. Starting to think about the 4th of July? I have been a bit. That always to me is when I feel the tingles for Halloween. Around that time. Have a great day!
We pulled the 4th of July decorations down out of the attic. We'll (I say we and I mean Michelle) decorate today or tomorrow. :D

I know I have said this before, but the 4th of July excites me because it is the last "obstacle" before we start seeing Fall and Halloween stuff on full blast. I just have this gut feeling that we'll see those items show up towards the end of July this year rather than sometime during August as in years past. We'll see if I'm right. Of course there's still the Back-to-School season to contend with, but there's no reason it can't run concurrently with Fall and Halloween merchandise.

Oh for sure! Here's my Instagram post from July 26th last year.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Well here we are, standing on the doorstep of the Summer Solstice. Tomorrow, the longest day of the year happens. We officially enter Summer. It's a great day for many. Heck, it's a great day for US, because we know what comes next. I plan on fully enjoying the longest day.

I meant to get back on here yesterday evening and give my two cents on the July 4th discussion. I have to say, July 4th is a PERFECT time to start feeling those big Halloween pangs, IMO. Why? You're at the start of the summer season, and realistically, it is the "last" "big" holiday, before reaching The Bers. Like @The_Escalation said, by the end of the month the possibility exists that we begin to see Halloween Candy in the stores by then. I know for the past few years, August has been when I have saw Halloween Candy, decorations, etc...

I have always said that seeing the outside garden center get going at Lowes each Spring sort of "starts" those Feels for Fall & Halloween. And July 4th for sure stokes the fire. Have a great day, friends!

Morning Halloween Fans! I hope all is well in Halloween Land. I wish there was a place named that actually. I'd visit every single day. Heck I'd live there. Have a great day!
Someone needs to make a Halloween Land theme park. Can you just imagine? That would be so much fun...kind of like a 24/7 version of the Halloween events at Universal and Disney's theme parks in Orlando. I'd live there too!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Well, it is FINALLY here. The Summer Solstice.

Today is the longest day of the year. We have anticipated its arrival for many weeks, and to some degree, months, as it has been on the back of our minds ever since we finally reached our halfway point back in April. It means now, in case you are wondering, we are marching back INTO Fall / Halloween Season.

I was encouraged by a friend's Facebook post who has announced that Home Goods now has out their Halloween stuff. I MUST see it on today, of all days, how glorious!

My memes are burning a hole in my pocket today. Patience, patience! I can wait 24 more hours before busting them out!

Have a great day, friends! Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's out there viewing this thread!
