Good Morning Halloween Friends! Look at that amazing assortment of counts this morning. So many "9"s in there. We've only got one count hanging on still that is above 100 days. And that too will be gone by next Saturday. Then I think everyone will be "ready". If we aren't already. I know I am. My spare moments during the day now are just constantly thinking of The Bers. Yesterday could have been September 1st, that's how happy I think we all were.

Have a great day, friends!
Things are going to become real on that Saturday (7/24). The first group countdown to have all numbers under 100. o_O

My cutout from Oriental Trading arrived and I am so happy with how it looks with my pumpkin vines, so even if I have to buy some pumpkins I think it will be a fun display. View attachment 83741
Oriental Trading has these?! I’ve got to order some! I’ve been looking around locally for some Peanuts cutouts, but honestly these look GREAT!

Ok everyone, I dropped the ball on the Seasonal Candy of the Week this week. Somehow I just pretended that Monday never happened and started my week from the 50-day Ber marker, so I woke up thinking today was Tuesday! Apologies to everyone who was expecting to see candy yesterday.

I’ll have a SCotW post at some point later today. Promise!

They do, and they also have a plastic backdrop that I ordered to use as a backdrop, but I haven’t put it together yet, I think it is definitely going to take two people to line the three panels up to tape together. IMG_3513.jpg

The reviews were so-so but I think the quality is what I expected and I plan to be pretty careful with it and only have it out in decent weather or for a short period of time. Even if I only get to have it out for Halloween I will be happy, and I am hoping to have another Great Pumpkin (Egg) Hunt and along with pumpkins hope to add some bales of hay and hopefully get some pictures of the kids!

I don't know what you use for "eggs". But the Oriental Trading Co. sells little plastic pumpkin candy containers. Just like eggs, but pumpkins. 24 of them for $12.50. :)

Thank you for sharing, Rich! I had not seen those! Last year I used black "Easter" eggs and color coded them with different colored dots for each kid, but the dots were mostly ignored! LOL! Oriental Trading has some Snoopy Eggs that I have eyed in the past. I keep telling myself not to get too carried away in case it doesn't work out, but I think I can admit to you, that ship may have sailed! I visit the OT website regularly so I will add these and the Snoopy Eggs to my cart!

As promised, I'm back with a late edition of the Seasonal Candy Cookie of the Week!

What's that, you say? Candy? No, no. This is the Seasonal Cookie of the Week. Look, I reserve the right to alter the weekly feature as needed. Next week could be the Seasonal Cider of the Week, for all you know. Now, on with the show!

It's Oreo!

Yes, these are Apple Cider Donut Oreos. I wonder if they're good. Luckily we won't have to wait too long to find out. These will be on shelves starting in August, but you will be able to find a "Salted Caramel" variety before the end of July.

Personally, I will be passing on these as a matter of protest. The Maple Cream Oreos that have been released for the last 2-3 years have been the PERFECT Fall flavor. If Oreo has discontinued those in favor of these, I will boycott. They already took away my beloved Red Velvet Oreos! They can't have another!

I didn't realize just how personal the Seasonal Cookie of the Week would get today. Sorry for that outburst, fellow spooks. Hopefully next week I'll be back with some more interesting treats to share with you all. In the meantime, have a frighteningly good Tuesday Wednesday!

I'm looking forward to the return of the pumpkin spice Oreo's.

I’m not a big Oreo fan but I’ll definitely be trying these.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Over the hump now and cruising into another wonderful October Weekend. I wish it were an October weekend. Really all of the weekends from about September to the 1st weekend of November seem lazy and relaxing. Then after that comes the horrifying and hectic weekends when we are 100% fully in Christmas Season that seem to roar by.

Dollar General in town here now has Halloween stuff out. And yesterday I finally saw "Big" Christmas Trees at Hobby Lobby. I felt the feels in there last night. I can't wait to go back again this weekend. It was a wonderous feeling, for about 25 - 30 seconds I had this "awful" yearning for Christmas.

My Halloween hunts will continue this weekend! I plan on going by Michaels, and also Jo Ann Fabric to see what they may have out! Have a great Thursday!

Check out Kohl's and Kirkland's too! We went there yesterday and they already have a bunch of Fall stuff out, including a few Halloween goodies. I posted some pics in the Christmas Countdown thread.

It may reflect my overall apathy for Summer or chubbiness, but I have not been able to get the Apple Cider Donut Oreos out of my mind! And even when I do, I start thinking about the Salted Caramel. I missed the Maple Cream Oreos but I very sorry for you that they discontinued those! Isn't that just the way?

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It is Friday once again, and I'm happy to be at the weekend again.

My Dad yesterday evening was complaining about the heat. And he told me that he was ready for Fall. It's something to hear him say that, he usually doesn't offer up much protest when it is too hot, too cold, etc..

I'm going to be visiting Michaels' and Jo Ann Fabric over the weekend. I will probably also go back to Hobby Lobby just to look at the Christmas Trees again.

Have a great Friday!

Good luck! I hope you finally find some “My Little Christmas” stuff!
Bizarre that they have the big / full size stuff out and completely stocked, and none of the "My Little Christmas". Never saw that before

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Well looking at our counts this morning, we are now just TWO WEEKS from Jack O Lantern Day #4. Sometimes it seems hard to believe that there is only one more JOL Day after this one, and then we are back in The Bers.

Also, only 6 days away now from reaching our 100 Days to Halloween milestone! It will be something indeed next Saturday when we pool over the data and see all of our counts under 100 at that point. Just amazing.

I hope you all have a great Saturday, and keep Halloween thoughts in your heart!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We march ever closer to that all important 100 Days to Halloween milestone! This Friday will be a special one indeed. An extra TGIF for the folks in this thread.

We had a monsoon rain storm yesterday evening. It cooled the air down immediately, and it stayed cool all night long. Right now its in the 60's here, and opening that back door up this morning to let the dogs out, and it could have been a chilly morning in late September or early October! I love when random events happen like this to make me think of The Bers.

Have a great Sunday!
