Halloween 2022 Countdown!

No autumn or Halloween feels here. Sweltering of summer foretaste is more like it. We broke records all over the state here in Utah. In my town it was 82 degrees. Man, that is almost 25 degrees above normal. Supposed to be the same today but since it is 76 right now, I doubt we are going to make it that hot. A slice of pumpkin chocolate chip bread helped me get a little bit of Halloween mojo.

Morning Halloween Fans! Brrr glad no trick or treating right now. It's 22 degrees. Way too cold for spring. Maybe a chocolate will give me the warmth I need today. Halloween? Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday. We are now in the very last days of March, and only four days now separate us from arriving to April, and being HALFWAY BACK to October, as of Friday. What a glorious Friday it will be. Edge talks about it often in the Thanksgiving thread, but he is 100% correct. There is absolutely a change coming in how the future weeks / months are going to feel. These last few days of March are the "last" days, IMO as well, where there is no feeling of the calendar feeling like it's been greased. Let's take a look at the counts this morning:

We are 3 days away from JOL Day #2!
We are seven days away from being 150 days to go, on both The Bers, and Days to October!

And in a little over two weeks, we will hit the 200 days to Halloween milestone! Folks, that's a huge one because after that, there won't be any more numbers in the 200's in this thread anymore. We won't see them again until the "NEW" thread goes up in November for Halloween 2023!

My Monday topic / question for today is a silly one.

As a kid, did you ever play "bloody mary"?

We did as kids, and obviously nothing bad of the sort ever happened. What is really ironic, is that my neighbor kids that I grew up with, actually lived in the house we do now. We would play Bloody Mary in the spare bathroom here, because it has no window and would get completely dark. Just a silly child's game, we made ourselves more scared than anything else!

No i never did it. I remember some older neighbor kids talking about it but i was probably just to scaried to do it. I never liked any of those creepy games as a kid.
Watching a scary movie is my creepiness max nowdays. Lol

Yeah, we played that, but only with like 3 or 4 of us in the same room together. We never saw Bloody Mary.

Now, did I ever play it alone? Heck no. I'm not gonna invite some evil lady into my mirror. She doesn't need to see into my bathroom anyways.

We also had kind of a mean joke as kids. There was a real estate agent who had, let's just say, a less than flattering picture of herself on her advertisement billboards all over town. Her eyes were opened ridiculously huge which made her look like she was an axe-murderer. So we used to joke that if you said her name three times fast that she would show up in your mirror too.

Never played Bloody Mary. I'm surprised that we didn't as kids. Hmm... I wonder why?

I was probably a weird kid, but I had never even heard of the game until I was an adult.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We are now only TWO DAYS away from Jack O Lantern Day #2, and just THREE DAYS from being Halfway back to October! Also closing in now on the 150 day milestones to both The Bers, and Days to October. Next Monday will see us safely arrive there.

Enjoy these last few days of March, because April is now right up ahead. We're almost halfway back to October. We are almost within 30 days of being HALFWAY TO HALLOWEEN. When April gets here, as our good friend JR would say, "Business is about to pick up!"

I've been thinking a lot about October and November today. I guess I'm just in a Bers state of mind. It's my happy place. The fact that we have JOL Day coming up and then Halfoween next is giving me all kinds of feels. It might be an Ambient Mixer day at work today.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It snowed again last night, just an icy / slushy mix, but it was enough to put our schools on a 2 hour delay this morning! We talk about October in here so much, I remember once in October it snowed the day before Halloween, and it was BIG snow - 7 or 8 inches and it was horrible. Trees that had full leaves on them had limbs broken off, power lines came down, etc.. I think it was in 2011 because my wife and I were going to the bank to start the loan paperwork to buy our house!

Folks, back to official news - we are now only a day away from JOL Day #2, and at this point exactly 31 days from Halfoween. April is practically here knocking on the door, and with it, halfway to October, which will be here in TWO DAYS.

I think Escalation mentioned it, but I'm feeling a BUZZ too. There's real excitement coming with JOL Day, The arrival of Halfway to October, Easter, and Halfoween!

Indeed, we have a lot of great stuff coming up, starting with JOL Day tomorrow! I am excited for that. If it stays cloudy and overcast like it is today then it will provide the perfect creepy atmosphere for the celebration.

Something that I just noticed happened to our counts: the Days to the Bers and Days to October counts are the same! I think this happened when we reached 160 and 190 respectively, then they both flipped to 159.

Good Morning Halloween Friends, and Happy JOL DAY # 2! We're going to have perfect weather for it too.

Folks, Halfway to October is knocking at the door today ready to trick or treat. But we can't open it yet, there's still the final day of March to enjoy. I feel a tremendous "atmosphere" building, for lack of a better word. Being back in April and being Halfway to both October AND Halloween is really something amazing. Looking at the counts, today marks exactly 30 days away from being completely halfway back to Halloween. It is incredible.
