Today feels about as spooky as a day can get. We have had a horribly windy day and the air is full of dust so it looks really murky and dark. Reminds me of the movie "The Fog." It also gives me great empathy for those of you who live in tornado alley. It has knocked the internet out but we still have power, which is weird because our power seems to go out when the breeze just comes from the guy down the street blowing out his birthday candles. The wind has been bad enough to shake the house which gives me chills and makes me grateful for a solidly built home.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! At long last, here we are, the beginning of another Spooky Spring Weekend!

Last night I started watching "Halloween Kills". Michael is normally saved for Jack O Lantern Day, but this wasn't exactly "classic" Michael, so I felt that it fit well in the lineup of "Spooky Spring". My favorite part of the movie so far has been the beginning, I liked the throwback font on the title screens and time stamps, as well as the iconic soundtrack. It was also intriguing to see their perspective of what Michael was up to immediately following the events of the first movie. I'm going to finish it tonight before dinner. I'm kind of looking forward to it lol. I know @Edge612 has enjoyed so far the "new" Halloween movies, and so have I.

Tomorrow morning when we wake up, we will be just ONE WEEK away from HALFOWEEN!

Have a great day, friends!

Today has been rainy, windy, and gloomy and I think I am going to call up the next Harry Potter movie to tonight and make the most of the weather and my urge to clean, clear, and de-clutter. I hope you all have a great night!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to Spooky Spring Weekend, again!

Today marks a momentous occasion, that being that we are only 7 DAYS from HALFOWEEN!

It is widely circulating around the interweb that Hobby Lobbies are starting to spring to life with Fall stuff. I have not yet visited mine, but that's in the plans for today!

Have a great day, friends! I hope to share some photos later of my Fall finds at Hobby Lobby! (Fingers crossed)!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I didn't find a thing. And I scoured the whole store. Even more alarming is not one speck of Christmas stuff, not even in the tubs stored up overhead. I still have to remember we are still a week away from May, so not quite concern time yet, but we are getting there, and at this point, we are nationally behind the other stores.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday! At long last, today begins my "final approach" to Halfoween. My Stephen King movie marathon begins tonight with the movie "Silver Bullet"! Today is going to be on the warmer side of "October", it will reach 80 degrees, but without the humidity, I'm sure it will feel like on of those final last warm days of late Summer. The only thing we will be missing today is that "filter" that goes on the sun!

Have a great day, friends!

Sounds just like my store. Well, there's always next weekend.

Good Morning Friends, and Happy Monday! Day 1 of the Stephen King movie marathon is in the books! Silver Bullet was an outstanding way to begin the countdown week. The movie actually takes place in September, which I thought was pretty cool for our purposes, since we spend so much time daydreaming about The Bers.

And this sort of brings me in to the returning Monday / weekly topic:

Today is Rudolph Day (Happy Rudolph Day!). We always recognize Christmas on December 25th, no matter what day of the week that falls on. But for school / work / banking / government purposes, we always have the closest day to Christmas as a day off / holiday. Do you think the same should be done for Halloween? I remember a discussion a while back on if we should save the actual Trick Or Treating for the 1st weekend day closest to October 31st if that day is not on a weekend, etc.

How would you feel about observing a "day off" to Celebrate Halloween?

I think even though Halloween is not a "religious" holiday like some of our other major ones (Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.) it would be nice to have another day off during the year.

Day two of the movie marathon continues tonight with the original Carrie!

Have a great day, friends!

Have a great day, friends!

I'd like a day off in October. Like a three-day weekend prior to the 31st.

I have heard a lot of discussion lately about celebrating Halloween on the Saturday closest to the actual day. I have a number of teachers and school administrators in my family and they all say they would like to see November 1 be a school holiday because the kids are all tired from being up late and on a sugar high, making for one of the worst days of the school year. Personally, I would like to have October 31 as a holiday. But I don't think that is ever going to happen. If someone starts a referendum though, that person can count on my signature.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today will be a chillier and overcast day, a perfect day to soak in the Spooky Spring atmosphere as we get ever closer to our next coveted goal, the HALF WAY point, due to arrive on Saturday!

Tonight's movie is going to be "The Shining"

Have a great day, friends!
