Halloween 2022 Countdown!

We can joke about things that go bump in the night but I did have a Rolo thief one December, in February I found a number of shredded gold wrappers behind a dresser with some other signs of a mouse! Eck!

I had not heard of the Gizmo/Baby Yoda theory but I can see some resemblance between the two, but I don't know of any warnings against getting Yoda wet!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday! It would seem that Halloween stuff is finally out at bath & body works. I've seen the photos shared on the internet, and I'm going to visit ours in the next couple of days. My absolute favorite scent for Halloween is called "Vampire Blood", so I'm hoping they have that one, as well as seeing what new ones they have for the 2022 season. Believe it or not I am down to just a few fall scents, and a handful of winter / Christmas wallflowers, so I will run out in the next few months. It will be fun to start stocking up for the "offseason" when the holiday season ends.

We're almost down into single digits on the "Days to JOL Day" count, and we will hit 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN on Saturday!

Hello and Good morning all!

It was super foggy when I first got up this morning, but it is mostly cleared up now. Just dropped Henry off for Cross Country conditioning.
Bright and sunny today and then some storms tomorrow evening. The heat of this time of year always has me wishing for the cool crisp Fall mornings.
 
No October breezes here, @Edge612 but we are getting closer. I am looking forward to the first chilly morning of Fall, even more than I am looking forward to the fun sized Kit Kats!

I think there could be a whole fan fiction thing with the idea that you can't get Baby Yoda wet or .............................................................

I also love Vampire Blood scent so last year, I was smart enough to buy an extra (being smart doesn't happen all that often) so it is safely sitting on the soap shelf in my food storage room!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today begins our mini heat wave. Today and the next three behind it will all hit 90 degrees. It is the hottest weather we have had all season, and quite appropriate as today is our "Peak hottest day". Mercifully after this week we will finally begin trending back downward in terms of heat and humidity. And we're finally able to see that it really is getting dark earlier, so that is helping with the heat. When we started July, it was still daylight out until around 8:45. Yesterday, the sun set at 8:36 PM. We are losing just about a minute a day of daylight, and next month we will finally see it getting dark again at 7:45 PM, not quite the early dark evenings like I like, but it's getting there.

I watched lots of videos yesterday that people were taking of their bath & body works and hobby lobbies. The pull of Fall & Halloween has now increased a notch, I can't think of any other time that I've been so excited for August to be here and Fall Pre-Season. Just last night I was even thinking about what wall-flowers I am going to use each month from August and beyond. We've got 11 days left of this month. Let's try and enjoy them, and even I will try and make the best of this mini heat wave, because things are sure going to feel different (literally) when August gets here.

Good morning, friends! Sorry that I have not been around much this week. I'm doing vacation stuff and haven't picked up my phone in a while. It's been enjoyable so far, but I just can't believe that today is already Wednesday! This feels like the shortest vacation ever!

Before I get back to vacationing, I wanted to leave you with this exciting photo of something I spotted while we were in town yesterday. Ignore my dirty car window (I tried to edit out a particularly gross looking spot):

I feel you with the vacation. This week is dragging so much with me on vacation next week. Come next week when I'm off and time will fly bye too. Time flies when your having fun. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I'm loving seeing all the posts on here about the various different Halloween items that are being spotted in the stores. Fall is now 40% off from Hobby Lobby, and I can confirm that our Home Goods now has Halloween items as well as Bath & Body works beginning with their Halloween rollout. I plan on going there over the weekend to hopefully re-stock on the "Vampire Blood" and other Halloween scents. I will keep my eyes peeled at Walmart too because I am seeing across the internet that Walmarts here and there are now getting Halloween candy.

Folks, we are just TWO days out from the 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone, and that will be the very last time we see triple digits on a count "This season". We won't see the counts back up in triple digits again until after Halloween is over for 2022.
