Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday, aka "Mini-Friday"!

Our good weather is hanging on, it really feels like Fall every day. I couldn't have asked for a better way to approach September, I knew it would be cooler than July but I never imagined overnight lows in the 50's.

Folks - we're just TWO WEEKS AWAY from The Bers. That is all I will say, as I'm saving the rest for the Bers thread. We're under two weeks now until the final JOL Day of the 2022 Season. Seems surreal just to type it out. I'm hoping that my movie playlist is all wrapped up by this weekend.

Have a great day, friends!

It seems like just yesterday we were in the beginning of the year getting ready for the first JOL Day in January, and now we're about to celebrate the last one of the year. I'm thankful that we're almost home, to the Bers. The biggest and best is yet to come, and Spooky Season is right at the forefront.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF! We are finally the weekend once again. And another weekend to (hopefully) finish up my Halloween movie play list. The Fall decorations will be finished up this weekend, and relaxing in front of some Halloween movies afterwards sounds pretty good. I even made Cherry cider yesterday, which has been steeping in the refrigerator, so it should be good to go.

The beautiful weather continues today, with a high of 82. I wonder, will it feel "summer hot", or will it feel like one of those warm Bers day where there is heat, but not a lot of humidity?

Have a great day, friends!

Morning Halloween Fans! It's Friday woo. This weekend I plan to work on my Halloween shows. Organize them and put them together. Make a list to watch. And even put one or 2 on. Have a great day!
Happy watching!

My great-nephew says he wants to be a skeleton for Halloween! I think that is a sign that he will be a true Halloween devotee later on in life. My niece is disappointed, she thought she would have at least one more year of choosing for him! LOL! Of course, I know he could change his mind, but maybe he won't!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Finally another "Fall Pre-Season" Weekend!

Today I will complete the outside decorations here for Fall. The only thing I don't have on site is my straw bale. I have completed my list of Halloween movies, I only need to make a few final touches, and I will be ready to share the list. Oh yes, I see "grazing" in my future for the next several weekends, and then on the weeknights when September finally gets here.

My giant laughing jack o lantern that got from Costco two years ago has been sitting out on our dining room table for the past two weeks, but this morning I turned the sound on, instant dose of the feels, and it was SO GOOD to hear it again.

I feel right now like a cooking pot where everything is being thrown together. We aren't quite ready to be eaten yet, but all of the "good stuff" has been put in the pot and you can smell the kitchen get more and more lovely. In 12 days, "dinner is served".

I hope to see more Halloween and Fall stuff "out in the wild" today as I go about my travels. Have a great day, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! This time next week, It will be "Dark Arts Sunday", and we will only be FOUR DAYS from being back in The Bers! But we've still got 11 days to go in this month.

I did get to go to Michaels' last night and happy to say they are well stocked on Halloween & Fall stuff. Might even pick up a few more things when they go on clearance prices.

This week folks, we will see single digits on both the counts towards JOL Day, and The Bers, as well as breaking into a 30's count on "Days to October"!

I just caught a fantastic sunrise, folks. It's about as close as I can get to a "Bers Sunrise" while not being in The Bers. I'll share later today! Have a great day, friends!

I saw a friend who raises pumpkins and he said his crop isn't doing as well either, in fact he said his best ones are actually from volunteer plants that came up from the leftover pumpkins that he put out in the back of the garden last year. I am still tending my one pumpkin!

At least there is solace in knowing I am not alone in the struggle. One of my pumpkins died. I don't know if the stem got chewed by a cutworm or what. But I do have two small ones that just formed so I have three. I would like to spray for bugs to protect them, but I won't because I have so many bees in the blossoms and my mind that I don't want to kill them--and if the bad insects get killed so do the good ones.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! This is the very last week that we will begin, that does not have the "Bers" in it. Next Thursday is the big day, folks. We're in single digits now, on the way to JOL Day, and tomorrow we will hit single digits in The Bers count, as well as seeing "Days to October" hit into the 30's count. It seems like it is happening all at once!

I want to ask us a question today on this Monday, that I don't think I have asked before. If I have asked it before, please tell me so I can cross it off my list of "Monday Morning Topics", because I must have forgotten to do so:

Next week, mentally for a lot of us (depending on where you live) Summer "ends" with the arrival of The Bers. Did it feel like a short summer?

I think it was a short summer here in the Northeast. We had freezing nights and cold weather up through Labor day weekend. In June it stayed very very mild, and even on July 4th weekend, it was still well below normal temps. We had four days of a "sweatfest" (temps above 90) in the 3rd week of July, and then the temps nose-dived as we got into August. We have been holding steady at upper 70's and mid 80's, with cool overnight lows having been back for a few weeks now. All in all, that made it feel short since there wasn't very much time here that the heat was "miserable", which makes it feel long passing the time. I'm expecting easier weather obviously once we get back to "The Sweet Spot" here in 10 days!

Have a great day!
