Good Morning Halloween Friends! Did anyone happen to watch the eclipse last night?

I went outside at 4:00 in the morning and the moon was just about 95% covered. It was red, very creepy, like something out of a horror movie! Supposedly this type of eclipse that happened last night will not happen again for 548 years!

It was awesome and made me think of Halloween. The wind was breezy and the shadows from the trees danced around, "Halloween shadows" as I call them!

Have a great day, friends!
Here it was cloudy so couldn't see a thing. I guess I will see it next time around

I thought pretty much everyone's Halloween stuff was down, but I have my daughter's ex-husband staying here for a few days (long story but it is all good) and he is on his way to help a friend take her Halloween decorations down. On a Thanksgiving note, on a street near me, the owner put First People and Pilgrim garbs on the two life-sized skeletons in the front yard. Gotta love it.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Only one more episode of "Chucky" is left, and I am down to just a few remaining Reese's pumpkins. That's the last two major things I have left from Halloween 2021' still going. That's why I have the little "Halloween Trees" outside, as well as my Halloween ceramic trees, as part of my Christmas display in here. To try and keep that Halloween spirit going as long as possible! I have long believed that Halloween is indeed part of the overall "Christmas Season", so it will stay part of my routine!

And I feel like saying this, there is an absolute BUZZ in the air right now. I can feel magic everywhere. Almost time for the best week of the entire year!

Have a great day, Halloween friends!

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I really feel like today, the feels begin for Thanksgiving week. My wife was baking cookies yesterday, and the smells coming through the house was really just a preview of what is to come!

Looking at our counts this morning, milestones are on the brain and we will see them often over the next two weeks. Just 10 days from now, we celebrate 150 days to Halfoween. Then, not even a week later, is the all important 300 days to October!

Be sure to tune in tomorrow as we post another discussion question / topic, as we continue to count down the weeks to Halloween! Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Great updates on the counts today! We are now out of the 50's count on the "weeks to Halloween", which always makes me happy. We also broke into the 150's now on "Days to Halfoween". Not too bad, time marches on!

This is the week that many of us have dreamed about for a long while. And that's THANKSGIVING WEEK. I expect to see most of the remaining holdout houses decorated for Christmas by the end of this week. Sadly, there are not any more houses that have anything up still for Halloween.

And speaking of Halloween, it is time for the weekly discussion question / topic:

How old do you think is too old to go trick or treating?

I have said this on here before, but I was actually 19 years old the very last time I went "officially" trick or treating! I know that sounds crazy, but I took my brother and sister trick or treating, and I was dressed as Triple H the wrestler (I'm a big wrestling fan). I didn't anticipate it, but I was starting to get candy when we knocked on the doors! So the people either didn't know how old I was, or didn't care. But that was it for me, I never trick or treated ever again after that year. This would have been 2003.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I thought that tonight was the last episode of "Chucky", but fortunately there is one more after tonight. It has been a great show, I didn't think I would enjoy it, but I really have. Each week it makes me think of Halloween.

Almost time for the big day now, Turkey Day. I find myself getting more and more excited! It's gonna be a good one!

Have a great day!

I think I was maybe 11 or 12 the last time I officially went trick or treating, but that was also around the time my parents started taking us to church, so the following years all just replaced trick or treating with whatever Fall Festival or "Trunk or Treat" that our church was having at the time.

I think once you graduate high school, you are probably "officially" too old for trick or treating anymore, unless you are taking your kids or younger siblings and are in costume with them. Then you have a loophole.

I am happy to see the Halfoween count added - it's my favorite new holiday, too!
My original plan for this new thread was to not add the Halfoween count until January 1st, but when I went back and looked at the 2021 thread, we started counting it immediately. So the Halfoween count seems to be a "fan favorite" so I think we will keep it from the "beginning" going forward / for future threads!

The Halfoween count brings so much hope and joy to this thread. I'm glad you started it sooner than later.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Just one more day to go now until we all Gobble Gobble. I still can remember how it felt when we got to November, Thanksgiving was on our minds but it still felt "far away". Well those days are over, huh.

After last night's "Chucky", there is only one more episode to go. I really hope they get a second season. I haven't heard confirmation of that yet, but I'm sure they will. Like i've said before, it's the "last" Halloween-ish thing that I have still going on.

Have a great day, friends!

Even though Halloween is behind us, it's never too early to start planning for "Halfoween." I'm going to start perusing the books and/or podcasts I want to partake of during the countdown to Halfoween once the "bonus months" are over. I want this year's Halfoween to be even bigger than the last!
