Good Morning Halloween Friends, and Happy Thanksgiving! There will be a real change in this thread, I feel after today. It isn't something super serious, or anything like that, but after today, two out of the "Big 3" have passed, leaving only the granddaddy of them all, Christmas. (I almost said "Wrestlemania")

That means that these upcoming milestones / dates are going to carry a little more weight as it starts taking hold on us mentally that pretty soon, sooner than any of us would probably like, we are really going to be starting that "climb" again. For us Halloween peeps, we have been climbing almost a month now, and with still more "bonus time" ahead of us, we will be delivered into a pretty decent spot when the festivities "end" late next month.

But there's plenty of time left to enjoy of "Holiday Season". My wish today for all of you is that you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

I think Halfoween is a perfect edition to the countdown, and I think it is another reason the pumpkin-shaped waffle maker wouldn't be a mistake (like other trendy kitchen appliances)! LOL! And with SolidSnake's Dark Arts Sundays and JOL days, I am planning to celebrate July 31st (which is also Harry Potter's birthday) with my niece and her kids. It will give me lots to work on and craft for!

Good Catch! Happy Birthday to Harry on that day! And truth be told, throughout the years, we have lots of dates that tie to Harry Potter!

In truth, I don't celebrate all of them, but there are many that I mention on this thread, since HP has such a place in my heart, and is so significant to my Halloween activities. Here's the ones I observe:

1st week of January - Hogwarts Express comes back to school from London, winter term at Hogwarts now begins.

July 31st - Harry's birthday

September 1st - Hogwarts express travels to Hogsmeade station, new school year begins at Hogwarts!

Thanks for sharing the calendar! I think I am officially up to at least 5 days that a pumpkin-shaped waffle maker would be awesome!

Morning Halloween Fans! Well today is Thanksgiving obviously but still us Halloween people think Halloween thoughts. The turkey will be on the table with Halloween candy still in the bowl on the side of everything lol. Have a great day!
Took some little Thanksgiving bags to some of the neighbors and used Halloween candy (the kind that isn't labeled Halloween. LOL.)

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Thanksgiving 2021 has concluded, only Christmas remains now as our next highly anticipated holiday.

Folks, we've got some milestones coming up over the next two weeks!

FIVE days from today, next Wednesday, December 1st to be exact, we will celebrate 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN! Then just FOUR days after that, that same Sunday, December 5th, we will ring in 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER!

Have a great day, friends!

Morning Halloween Fans! Anyone else a bit tired from this amazing holiday we had? It's different than Halloween. Halloween month of October is just fun without the "work". Agreed? Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I have to echo Edge's sentiments about being tired from Thanksgiving. October does indeed feel different - it's just a fun month.

Looking at the counts this morning, it is really going to be fun to hit some milestone's next week. It feels like it's been a while now, since we hit our last one, or rather, our "first" of the 2022 Countdown Season, and that was the 350 days to Halloween, and even though it has only been 12 days, it feels like forever ago.

With the pending arrival of December in just a few days, I will be one step further to beginning work "officially" on my Jack O Lantern Day plans, as well as finalizing some stuff for "Halfoween" that up until this point has just been daydreams. I should have everything ironed out by the 3rd week of the month, because I never, ever, "cut into" Christmas season, so that means my planning is just done very lighthearted and a little bit at a time. But come January, we go hardcore toward Halloween / Fall again! But let's enjoy the rest of this time! I'm looking forward to seeing how many more houses decorate this weekend!

Have a great day!

Happy Sunday, Halloween Friends!

Yesterday I went to Michaels' for the first time in a long while, and was shocked to see how much Halloween stuff they still had out! Instant dose of the feels. We made a Hobby Lobby run too, and I was surprised at how much Christmas stuff was still left out, however, they were in the process of consolidating it, which is always my cue to "pause" my visits in there. Holly and I decided to not make another trip until Christmas was over, to see what could be had for 75% to 90% off. It is different once Christmas is over, for me mentally. I can handle seeing the store look "empty" once Christmas is over, but it feels terribly sad while we are still in "Christmas Season", to see the store being changed back.

We're just three days away now from the 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN milestone, and next Sunday at this time we will be welcoming in the 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone! Seems surreal!

Have a great day, friends!

WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 43
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN:48

Good Morning, Halloween Friends! I hope you all enjoy milestones, because we are going to celebrate two of them this week alone! We are two days away from the 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN milestone, and just six days from the all-important 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone! I really feel like this will be our first taste of real "progress" since we started on all new counts a few weeks back.

And now, without further delay, let's get to our weekly Monday question / topic:

How do you feel about pumpkins?

I think even seeing a pumpkin somewhere outside of "Halloween Season", gives me as big of a dose of "the feels" as it does when I hear Christmas music or spot Christmas decorations / trees, during the "offseason". It is always a treat to see pumpkins out "in the wild", and I get great enjoyment during the late summer when the pumpkin patches around here begin to show the fruits of their labor!

Have a great day, friends!

Love the big Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins. Tried to grow some once. Didn't work out so well. The vines prematurely rotted at the base. Ended up with one pumpkin the size of a bowling ball.

Pumpkins? Absolutely love 'em. Love seeing them, carving them, eating them...

When August (or sometimes even July) rolls around and I see my first pumpkin in the wild, I immediately get excited. It brings an immediate dose of the Fall feels. That's when I know the best is yet to come.
