• Operation Christmas Cheer
I'm kind of at a loss for words today. Just got really excited about Harry Potter and Halfoween and our counts, and especially for September 1st. I keep thinking ahead to how it's going to feel when all of these celebrations are upon us, and I have to pump the brakes a little because I promised myself I'd enjoy the ride this year...but it's just a really good feeling knowing what is all ahead of us.

I love having all the different countdowns. Something is always turning a corner and that makes all this waiting so much more bearable. If we didn't celebrate the milestones I would just crawl into a hole until September 1st.
You and me both! I always joke that I could hibernate from March - August and would be okay with that. I'm going to really make an effort to enjoy summer this year, though.

I am really looking forward to celebrating JOL #1, I had planned on saving the Harry Potter movies for three day weekends, but I think I am going to set that aside and enjoy one this weekend.

MILESTONE DAY:
View attachment 90739
Good Morning Halloween Friends! And 1st of all Happy Milestone Day! And Also, Happy Rudolph Day Eve, I wouldn't want to forget anything. Today is the 250 Days to October milestone day. It's an incredible way to start the week, especially with all we have to look forward to and celebrate this week. We are in the 30's now on both of the WEEKS counts. That's amazing. Today is the 250 Days to October Milestone. Tomorrow is Rudolph Day. Thursday is Tom Turkey Day, and this weekend (Sunday) is Dark Arts Sunday. We then close out January with the very first Jack O Lantern Day of 2022.

And here is a welcome return, back today, and part of our tradition: SOUP WEEK.

Soup week is our way of honoring the fall and paying tribute to The Bers in January. All of the soups and stews we will have this week are ones that we enjoy frequently during the Ber months. It just seems fitting to close out the month this way, especially with Dark Arts Sunday and JOL day now within a stones throw. Tonight we will be enjoying dumplings!

Try and celebrate a little today. Don't celebrate too much though - You know what, celebrate as much as you want. It's silly, but I'm most excited that on Saturday I'm going to go out and get my ingredients to make Cherry Cider to have on Sunday and Monday!

Now, on to today's Topic / Question.

What do you think of "Happy Halloween Cards" ?

To be honest, I don't know if Happy Halloween cards even exist. I've never really looked for them. I think maybe when it gets closer to "Halloween Season", I will try and find some so that I can mail to my friends. I've never done it before and I think it would be fun!

Have a great day! Happy Milestone Day!
Thanks for sharing the tradition of Soup Week, tonight I had Roasted Red Pepper soup and macaroni and cheese. Perfect for a cold January night. Enough for leftovers tomorrow and maybe lunch on Friday.

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! Almost the weekend again! This weekend is really going to feel like an October weekend I hope. Fall / Halloween scents in the air, Harry Potter on the tube, and lots of Cherry Cider. Don't forget about Ambient Mixer and my dedicated Halloween playlist which will be on here and there!

I mentioned it yesterday, but wow, Dark Arts Sunday will also see the arrival of the 90 DAY window to HALFOWEEN! how incredible!

Have a great Thursday! Try and keep Halloween thoughts in your head! We are getting there! Slowly, of course.

Only 4 more days until the first of five Jack-O-Lantern days! I think I'll put Snickers and Butterfingers in my Pumpkin Cauldron candy dish.

It's much easier to keep Halloween thoughts in my head now since Halfoween is approaching rapidly and the fact that we are so close to JOL Day!

Soup Week is in full effect! Last night my wife made chicken and dumplings, and while that stretches the definition of a "soup," I think it's still a great cold weather dish. We are having the leftovers for dinner tonight, but I've got to take a break from soup at lunch today so that I can get my turkey leg for Tom Turkey Day. I am hoping that we finish up Soup Week with gumbo tomorrow.

***Seasonal Candy Change Alert****

I am happy to report that we now have Reese’s Easter Eggs in the stores now. This is also the earliest I’ve ever saw them on the shelves.

So with that being said, by default, that means Halloween Candy, as far as “candy cycles” go, is UP NEXT!!

have a missed a holiday / candy season from excitement??

I am having leftovers tonight too! Roasted Red Pepper soup and macaroni and cheese. I think I am going to save the last serving for Saturday's lunch. It may be a new tradition and one that will encourage me to try new recipes throughout the year.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday! Today is not one of those October weekends we all love and dream about. But it's pretty close. Earlier this morning I started up the "Vampire Blood" Wallflower plug, and as it heats up, I am slowly getting scents of "Halloween". It will be complimented later this evening when I plug in the pumpkin spice one. If I haven't mentioned it, these little things are amazing. I even switched the plug over to my "Jack O Lantern Day" plug that I purchased back in November, right after Halloween was over. I'll share a picture of it later, it screams "Harvest".

Tomorrow morning I will start making some Cherry Cider, to have chilled and ready in time for Dark Arts Sunday! I can't wait to see Hogwarts again! It feels like it has been an eternity!

Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

It almost feels like an October Saturday morning. We ended up getting just about an inch of snow, I'm honestly glad that it wasn't more, because my back yard is still snow covered and I haven't been able to get out there and clean up dog doo in THREE WEEKS now because of having snow storms every weekend. Be careful where you step, it's a land mine zone!

If you check the counts this morning, You can see it's only TWO DAYS now until Jack O Lantern Day #1, and you know what else happens on Dark Arts Sunday, which is TOMORROW? It marks only 90 days until Halfoween! That's a Halloween scare right there, isn't it? Also tomorrow will mean only TWO WEEKS until the 200 Days until The Bers milestone day!

I am now going to go finish up making the grocery list - have to make sure I add my ingredients to make Cherry Cider! would hate to forget it! Have a great day!

It's crazy to me that it's still January and we're already on the last candy cycle before Halloween. However, this will be a long one because Easter isn't until mid-April this year, so I hope y'all are ready for three whole months of Reese's eggs!

It would be a treat if they started putting out the Halloween candy in May...
