Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday to you! Isn't it great seeing all of the counts up top? We will be "complete" when the Bers count returns in January.

I got the icicle lights up last night on the roof. I was surprised that none of them were burned out. They are LED lights and we have had them now at least 6 or 7 years. I should have my grounds totally finished by Saturday night or Sunday.

It is still so amazing to be putting up these lights with the peak fall colors around me. I feel like usually by now, most of the leaves have fallen down and we don't have such gorgeous colors. It makes me think of Halloween every time I go outside. And that's where Halloween has to "live" for the next few months, in our memories and thoughts, until it is time for January to "wake" up the Halloween feels as we prepare for JOL Day and start marching towards Spooky Spring. But that's a while off.

Have a great day, friends! Try and live in the Halloween "afterglow" just a little bit longer!

Good morning all my spooky friends. Cold, crisp and there are still a lot of jack-o-lanterns in yards around me. Those who remembered to coat the cut edges with petroleum jelly still look good. The people who didn't use that hack, well, those are starting to look a little sad.

I stopped at a local Dollar General on the way home from work and the only Halloween treats left on the shelves was one bag of Halloween Oreos, everything else was cleaned out!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday to you! It's not the Halloweekend, or even our wonderful "normal" October weekends that we dream about, but November weekends are pretty fine in their own right.

My Christmas decorating continues tonight. My lights outside are about 50% done. I have a few more things to do before being 100%.

I still have not taken the plastic jack o lanterns down from the porch and the mulch gardens! It makes me smile every time I see them, especially when they are lit up by the Christmas lights! But they will come down either tonight or over the weekend.

Have a great day friends, keep those Fall & Halloween thoughts in your head!

I was in Target yesterday while waiting for my granddaughter to get done with her doctor appointment and they had tons of Halloween candy, but it was only 30% off.

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

Today is my "farewell" to the afterglow of Halloween season. But wait, doesn't that end the day after Halloween?

Every year I run the battlefield half marathon (13.1 miles). I have only missed two times - once in 2014 because I didn't know about it, and the other time in 2020 when Covid made it get cancelled.

It is always the weekend after Halloween. It is a beautiful course that runs through the countryside here, running by gorgeous farms and scenic vistas. The trees here are peak foliage, and within a week probably all the leaves will be down or close to it. I blast my Halloween playlist one last time for half of the marathon. It's became kind of a tradition on my part. It's almost like my "Bers Tribute video" in real life lol.

When I finish, the first thing I always do at home is hang my finisher's medal on the Christmas Tree. These medals are seriously nice, they are not cheaply made in the least.

Today I will hopefully finish up my outside Christmas decorations and lights. It is time for Halloween to rest in our hearts for a little while now. But don't worry some spooky feels are coming our way soon. I always feel excited the first time each new year that I get the pumpkins back out for that first JOL Day. And I think we get spoiled a bit this year, because we have a Friday the 13th coming up in January. So just about 70 days from now we can have a little taste of spooky feels again! But first lets enjoy these "Bonus Months!"

Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! Can you believe last weekend we were enjoying Halloweekend? And now...well 51 weekends to go. That's ok though as I said a fresh count feels fun and special. Have a great day!

I postponed putting my Halloween decorations away to shorten the wait until Thanksgiving and thought I would put one room away each day this week but I ended up feeling under the weather and except for the front porch everything is still out. The best laid plans.

I am with the rest of you. I left the Halloween decorations up in the game room until today. After I am done with leaves today I will switch over to Christmas if I have time. If not, then tomorrow.

Those waylaid plans let you savor Halloween a bit longer! Nothing wrong with that.
