DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 360

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's another beautiful morning here. Yesterday was 75 degrees. Today is going to be 74. I sort of get late summer vibes being outside, or perhaps even a touch of Spooky Spring notes.

Folks, as I was running the marathon yesterday, I had my last dose of Halloween with my playlist. It was nice to say "goodbye" to the foliage and pretty autumn scenes. After the race was over, the wind got up here, and took down most of the leaves. The stragglers will be down probably by this weekend. Halloween is resting in my heart now. But it's going to wake up sooner that any of us realize.

I never want to do anything to "take away" from Christmas Season, that's why I sort of have "silent anticipation" of everything Halloween-related until about that last slog week of December. But let me just say, I am tremendously excited for 2023 and counting down to everything again.

Today's mission is to finish the outside lights and decorations. I am not as sore as I figured I would be after the marathon, so I should be able to do much more work today!

Have a great day, friends!

Morning Halloween Fans! Well I'm going to check the store today to see if any extra Halloween stuff is on sale (ornaments, candy etc.). Sometimes they mark it down on Sunday. Have a great day!
I hope you find lots of stuff, I missed out on the Orange Jack-o'-Lantern Easter Eggs at Target, and am disappointed but I'll put them on my year round To Do List and next year I may (gasp) pay full price!

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

A new Monday awaits us. Today is special, I feel like it's the calm before the storm. Tomorrow, the Special Post series begins on the main Christmas Countdown thread. It's one of my favorite parts of the site, and I look forward to it every year. I have been fortunate to get to do a Special Post each season since I've been here.

Halloween is really resting now. The rest of my Halloween decorations came down inside yesterday. There was a solid five minutes where I REALLY missed Halloween. It was just kind of a numb / dull ache. I guess those were Halloween feels!

We made a Hobby Lobby run on Saturday night, and every year, when I see the stores in "Full Regalia", It feels like it pierces my heart. I took pictures of Lowes when they were in "Full Halloween Regalia". I think it will be a fun picture to look at in January or February when we are pining away the time.

Have a great Monday, friends!

That Spooky Spring countdown is looking pretty good right now. Just imagine how it will feel to see it on December 26th or January 1st. It will be in the double digits! Just another wonderful thing to look forward to in the off-season.

Remember to stock up on your Halloween clearance items for Spooky Spring NOW! They will come in handy in April.

Nothing else to do now but sit back and enjoy the bonus months...

I feel really bad that I missed the closing of the Halloween 2022 thread. I posted the explanation for my absence over in the Christmas Countdown, but it was still kind of a bummer not being here with you all to give Halloween a proper send-off.

The new "Harvest Carnival" in our town was a hit. It was smaller than our old pre-Covid festival, and it was only one night as opposed to three, but the kids loved every second of it. I'm hoping that it comes back next year, or better yet, that they bring back the "full" festival, but I won't complain if we get the Harvest Carnival again.

We did get to watch "Great Pumpkin" and take the Christmas decor down from the attic as is tradition at our house, so that was a blast.

Folks, I am already in planning mode for Spooky Spring and next year's Halloween. I can't wait to swap ideas with y'all during the Offseason Planning Session. I don't have a lot jotted down yet, but I'm thinking about it daily.

Don’t feel bad for not being here. Sometimes things happen, everyone understands! We’re happy you are back online with us!

I finally switched over my game room from Halloween to Christmas yesterday. The last of my Halloween vibe is gone and fully on to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

But come January the Halloween anticipation cycle will begin again.

My home is in full-Thanksgiving vibe, but and that is a significant but, if I want a jolt of Halloween, I still have a bag of bats and pumpkins peanut butter cups. Unless the grandkids (and to be honest my kids too) raid them which I encourage, they won't be gone until New Years at least.

I forgot to use my Pumpkin Waffle maker during the entire month of October! I will not make the same mistake in April, so I am going to try to find some Pumpkin Pancake mix in the store and tuck it away for Spooky Spring!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday to all of you. Folks, yesterday we entered into the 350's count on Days to Halloween, and tomorrow we will be just ONE WEEK away from our first milestone day that we celebrate in this thread each new countdown season, and that is the 350 days to Halloween. It's a fun little milestone that I think prepares us for the long journey to 2023 when our counts will look VERY different.

Come over and enjoy the main Christmas countdown thread as today begins the famed "Special Post Series" here at MMC.

Have a great Tuesday!
