Good Morning and Happy Monday! We are here now folks, the week of Christmas. It's a big week, lots of feels involved, lots of emotions, and this wild roller coaster ride is technically "over" on Sunday. I can't believe it is finally here. This is what it is like to be immersed in 24/7 countdowns. It feels great counting down, lots of fun, but the things we love, it seems like POOF, they are gone in an instant. But I think that is what makes Christmas so special. We try our best to catch the magic in a jar, and sprinkle it out over the year, letting some out on Rudolph Day, etc., but nothing really truly compares to "the real thing".

I think the same can be said for true Spooky Spring and Halloween Season. We get pretty close with Jack O Lantern Day, but that "real feel" of true Halloween Season can't be duplicated. That's how we know it's special.

Folks, in just 3 days, we are going to hit the 100 day milestone on Spooky Spring. I think to me, that might be one of the biggest milestones of this thread. Maybe seeing the Days to Halloween count get out of the 300's is just as big. Can you think of one that I have maybe missed? Or perhaps do you have your own milestone day that you are kind of looking forward to?

Have a great Monday! Think those Christmas thoughts!

Morning Halloween Fans! Last night we took our annual walk with my uncle to look at the Christmas lights the Sunday before Christmas. And we all agreed how time goes so fast (seems like we just did it). And that made me scream out "Let's book Halloween Season Events!" Have a great day!

I love all the milestones, but my favorite count and milestones probably are the ones that involve the Bers, because once we reach the Bers, nothing is off the table. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas...they all come flooding back as soon as the Bers arrive.

And like I said, each year the "window" gets smaller before my excitement really starts to build up again. I used to not get excited until September 1st when the Bers arrived. Then the goalpost kind of moved up into August or "Fall Preseason." Now, it's just six months. As soon as June is over and we enter July, my excitement starts building again.

“Days to The Bers” count in this thread will be returning in less than two weeks!

So anybody come with a special white jacket when you screamed that? I mean those of us on this thread are fine with it, but the rest of the world.............................................................

Well, it might almost be Xmas but I went to my local closeout store and found a box of Halloween Fruity Pebbles. Fortunately its expiration date will let me enjoy them at Halfoween. Who says preservatives are all bad?

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Time marches on and we are getting closer and closer to the 100 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING milestone, due to arrive on THURSDAY!

On a side note, trips to the grocery store are pretty depressing now. Obviously all of the leftover Halloween candy / items are gone, but you also wouldn't know that Christmas is in just a week, since there is hardly any candy left. I'm expecting probably within the next week to see Valentine's day candy hit the shelves. I think I did see on one of my Holiday Facebook groups that Walmart was already starting to put out Valentine's day candy and other items.

I always mention candy in this thread because I think the "Candy Seasons" are as important as some of the counts themselves. From the time that Valentine's candy hits the shelves, we will only go through one more "cycle" which is Easter candy, that should arrive in late February / early March, before Halloween candy is "up next". So there is a bit of a lull candy wise from about May - end of July early August. Waiting for the Halloween candy to come back is one of my favorite Fall/Halloween countdown activities.

Have a great day, stay warm, and enjoy this special Christmas time!

Hey, welcome back, @cgmcav! I haven't seen you around in a while! How have you been? I hope all is well!
Thanks! I should be popping back in more often. It's weird...I follow the countdowns for entire year, but by the time it gets to the actual events I tend to just drift away til the end of the year. If I had to guess I'd say everyone's posts keeps me in the 'feelie spirits' when I'm not immersed in the seasons. Go figure. But now I'm getting all geared up for the Halloween/Thanksgiving countdowns since I'll need something to look forward to next week. I don't think I'm alone in thinking the post-Xmas week can be kind of a bummer. But these forums will help!

These forums are the absolute best place to be after Christmas is over. I'd be a lot more bummed without MMC.
