Halloween 2023 Countdown!

I'm going to cheat a little bit this week because I actually have two Tuesday Halloween thoughts:

1. It's JOL Day! In February! Exciting, right? I've got my copy of 28 Days Later queued up and ready to watch after work. And during work I plan to have a lot of Ambient Mixer and Silent Hill soundtracks on in the background.

2. Speaking of movies, I recently became fascinated with collecting steelbooks. Disney has a line of "Disney 100" steelbooks coming this year, and they are re-releasing most of their classic films this way. I like them; they have a very minimalistic look to them. But while I was browsing through these I also noticed that several of the classic monster movies I am planning on watching for my future JOL Days this year have steelbook releases as well! Best Buy just happens to have a bunch of them on sale right now! This is a perfect scenario for me, but maybe not my wife, so much.

I have never heard of a steelbook before, but they look really cool.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to March!

March is an exciting month for me, for a lot of reasons. #1, it is the "last" month of this year, that will not have some sort of Christmas Hunting or "Halloween Hunting" associated with it, since both of those things will start up in earnest next month. I expect to see Christmas stuff for the 2023 "Season" in HL by the end of next month, and I expect that I will also find Fall / Harvest stuff in there by May. From that point forward, I can go in there as I please to get my fill of seeing stuff and catching "The Feels". And it will last the rest of the year just about!

#2 - This is the month that leads us up to SPOOKY SPRING. I am so excited for Spooky Spring because I remember last year, by the time we realized it was "happening" so to speak, April was half over!

The rest of the excitement just comes from it getting nicer and nicer outside, the return of yard work and outside chores, and plus we will see the time change next weekend!

On the milestone front, we will reach 200 Days to Halloween Season tomorrow, as well as being only 30 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING. Wow! In exactly two weeks from today we will reach 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER. Folks, enjoy these remaining 200's level counts because they won't be here much longer!

And the last item that needs your attention this morning? I believe that we are "unofficially" half way back to The Bers. I'm not a math wiz like Edge so my logic says that today is safe to observe as the "unofficial halfway point" back, while the actual / scientific Half Way point I believe is sometime tomorrow or Friday.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday and Happy Milestone Day! Today we welcome in 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON.

Just a reminder that "Halloween Season" officially starts on Monday, September 18th, 2023. Fall "officially" starts that Saturday, and like we decided back in October when we started this "new" thread - nobody wants to wait the whole week to "officially" start Halloween Season, so Monday was the easy compromise. Plus, it's just an "official" day on the calendar, I know myself and probably a few others will have been easing into Fall / Halloween for several weeks by that point. You guys know me - August is "Fall Preseason" and I start bringing back all the "good stuff" little by little like scary movies, pumpkin spice everything lol.

We are also now just 30 days from the start of Spooky Spring! Our next milestone will be in 13 days when we celebrate reaching only 200 Days to October.

TGIF, Halloween Friends! Under 200 days to Halloween Season this morning!

Last night we had dinner at my in-law's house. It felt so much like an October night with the 60 degree weather, and the breeze blowing the tree limbs around and watching the shadows on the wall.

I was just thinking to myself how great it is to have these kind of moments where we can think about October all year long. It's kind of far away, but sooner than we realize, the sweat fest will be here and feelings like a cool breeze or a chilly morning will be nothing but a fantasy / memory. Good thing that is about 3 months away still.

I wish it were realistically 3 months away for us. Down here we've only got about a month left, if that.

Next Tuesday will be 85 degrees here.

Happy Weekend, Halloween Friends! A quick check of the counts this morning show slow but steady progress!

ONE WEEK out now from only being 50 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN. That will be our next immediate milestone in this thread.

We continue to journey through March, the "time of hope", or my personal favorite, the "Spooky Spring Prep Month". Just yesterday I was changing out the wallflower plugs here at home, and I pulled out a few and said "those are for spooky spring", and then I laughed at myself.
