DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 7

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We have began the final countdown to Halloween. This time next week it will be OUR DAY. I still can't believe October went by this fast. Here we are in the last full week of the month, and I still can't wrap my head around the fact that next week, not only is it Halloween, but we also flip the switch over to Christmas being everywhere on 11/1. It's been a good Halloween season so far, has it not?

It's 34 degrees outside right now. For sure the coldest night / early morning we have had since Spooky Spring. Crazy though it gets into the 70's today, and a few days next week break 80 degrees. I saw either next Thursday or Friday it is supposed to be 85 degrees. So the A/C will go back on at least one more time, there's no way we are getting through an 85+ degree day without A/C.

Have a great day, friends! 7 days to go!

Wow. I can't believe Halloween is a week away. It is even harder to believe that in a little over a week I am going to be looking for something Christmas like to watch instead of Spooky shows! But for the next week it is full blown Halloween still and I will enjoy it.

Evening Halloween Fans! Another October day. Hard to think that 1 week from now will be one of my favorite evenings of the year: Halloween. Not many match it. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Superbowl Sunday...that might be it. Happy Halloween!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 6

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Rudolph Day to all of you. Today is the big day here at this house, we are getting the Christmas Tree out of storage and putting up in the great room. We don't light it up or decorate it until 11/1, but today is such a big day symbolically and emotionally.

We're under a week to go now until Halloween. Time is slipping away. Even though we should be doing it every day, we really need to enjoy each day that is left in October. I have been thinking about the Halloweekend plenty. It's exactly 34 hours away from the time of this writing. I can't even imagine how Friday is going to feel.

Edge made a good quote in one of the other threads, every weekend is sort of a mini Holiday. It makes complete sense. But this weekend is unlike any other, IMO.

Have a great day!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 5

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Mere hours away now from the start of the Halloweekend. We got the Christmas Tree up last night. Huge dose of feels seeing it standing tall again. The house here reminds me of "Nightmare before Christmas" with the mashup of Halloween and Christmas going on right now.

It's going to be 80 degrees today. So incredibly hot for a late October day.

Have a great day!

I have caught myself starting to drift my thoughts toward Thanksgiving and Christmas the last day or two. I guess there is nothing wrong with that but I kind of feel like I'm cheating on Halloween. Oh well. I guess watching a nightmare before Christmas will be the compromise. Lol. The Hallowweekend should re-energize that Halloween spirit.

I keep finding myself jump-starting Christmas early as well. I can't help it. I've already wrapped three Christmas presents. I'm trying to absorb as much Halloween as I can because I know it will be gone in a flash. But I'm so anxious for Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I think Halloween will understand.

I mowed the back yard tonight to get that off the to-do list, so that the Halloweekend is full and uninterrupted. Me not mowing the grass on the weekend is a big deal. It means that something major is going on, like last weekend when I sealed the driveway. I usually love mowing on the weekend. But not this weekend. It is reserved for 100% Halloween and enjoying scary movies, candy, apple cider, and hopefully some outside fires if it doesn't rain. Have a great spooky evening!
