Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday! The strong rain storm is out of here now and we are just left with a cooler and breezy Friday, and a cooler weekend. Much more like Spooky Spring and not the "Spooky Summer", and "Spooky Winter" we had earlier in the month lol.
Double checking our counts this morning, you can see that we are getting pretty close to that 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone. What a momentous day it will be. Exactly one week out this morning from reaching 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON.
Let's just talk about Spooky Spring for a minute. How are we almost at the mid point of the month? I've been trying to take it slow, and enjoy a little bit of Halloween feels every day, but it still feels like the month is speeding by. You know what other months do that? THE BERS, and especially October. So i guess in one way, it is "good", that Spooky Spring is so "authentic" that it is flying by, but just like wishing away the countdowns, it is a double edged sword. I'm glad there are still 2 + weeks left of this month. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Spooky Spring yet or welcome in THE SWEATFEST.

I was in high school and everyone was saying the "Found footage" was a true story. The marketing did exactly what it was supposed to do. Have a good one!

I’m not ready to say goodbye to Spooky Spring yet either. Good thing we’ve still got another whole half of the month left! I still have several movies left to watch. I’m hoping to get in a viewing of The Others this weekend in between Christmas Hunting.
As for The Blair Witch Project, I remember all of the hype around it. I was in high school at the time as well. I don’t think I ever believed it was true, but it certainly scared me enough to where I was sure I didn’t want to see the movie. Even back then, I was horror-averse. I’ve since watched it (and the terrible sequel) when I was in college.

I remember going to the movies to watch the Blair Witch Project and no one left the movie theater. It was very hyped, but I liked it.

Today is an excellent day to stay inside and clean, I am going to put a new thermocouple on my pellet stove later because we are going to need heat tonight. Also, even though next week is in the 70's and 80's, the third week of April gets back down into the 30's and 40's!
We move along in our countdowns this morning now being only ONE DAY AWAY from seeing our very last 200 level count in this thread. We will celebrate 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN tomorrow. It will be all 100 level counts beginning on Monday!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday to you! We have reached our FINAL time in this thread of seeing a 200 level count. We won't see another 200 until we start the 2025 Halloween Thread! From tomorrow onward, it's all counts in the 100's for a while. We're down into single digits now before hitting 100 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON. That will be our next milestone here in nine days. And there sure were strong Fall feels yesterday when I went to Hobby Lobby and saw all that Fall stuff going out. It was a great feeling.
My surprise this morning is unveiling my "October Tree", that normally isn't put up until October. But I think it sums up the perfect spirit of Spooky Spring. And since Easter was in March, I needed an April theme for the tree, which is usually Easter eggs. So this is the first time since Spooky Spring started that i've put out the Halloween tree. And I think that makes it special, because the next time I can do this won't be until 2027, when Easter is in March again.

I need to have at least 120 frost-free days for my Jack o'Lantern pumpkins so I still have time to spare but this is chillly spring is making me think I am going to go past my Mother's Day marker and wait until Memorial Day to plant.
